Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is caused by a lack of insulin production in the body or insulin resistance. Soybeans can be used as a functional food to lower blood sugar levels because they have a low glycemic index value, sufficient fiber content, so they can slow down the absorption of food in the body, containing the amino acid arginine which is able to maintain the balance of the insulin hormone. Soybean isoflavones in the form of Genistein and Daidzein are useful for repairing cells, metabolizing glucose and fat, and protecting pancreatic cells.Methods : This type of research is a quasy experiment with a pre-post design with two treatment groups. The study was conducted from August to October 2020. The data collected were blood sugar levels, energy and carbohydrate intake, glycemic index, obesity status, physical activity and genetics. The research stages were: manufacture of soybean juice functional foods and soy formula. Functional food in the treatment group was given for 14 days. Data analysis used t-test dependent and independent statistical tests with a confidence degree of 95% (α 0.05) and continued with multiple linear regression analysis.Result : There is an effect of giving soy formula and soybean juice on blood sugar levels of people with Type 2 diabetes. The mean reduction in blood sugar levels in the group given soy formula was 26.30 mg/dl, while the group given soybean juice was 17.96 mg/dl.Conclution : Soybean formula can reduce blood sugar levels by 8.34 mg / dl greater than soybean juice. Physical activity carried out regularly has a role in reducing blood sugar levels by 33,828 mg / dl. Soybean juice and soy formulas can be used as alternatives to lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus disebabkan oleh kurangnya produksi insulin di dalam tubuh atau terjadinya resistensi insulin. Kacang kedelai dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai makanan fungsional untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah karena mempunyai nilai indeks glikemik rendah kandungan serat yang cukup, sehingga dapat memperlambat penyerapan makanan dalam tubuh, mengandung asam amino arginin yang mampu menjaga keseimbangan hormon insulin. Isoflavon kacang kedelai dalam bentuk Genistein dan Daidzein bermanfaat untuk memperbaiki sel, metabolisme glukosa dan lemak, serta melindungi sel pankreas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy experiment dengan rancangan pre-post dengan dua kelompok perlakuan. Penelitian dilakukan mulai Agustus hingga Oktober 2020. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah kadar gula darah, asupan energy dan karbohidrat, indeks glikemik, status obesitas, aktifitas fisik dan genetik. Tahapan penelitian adalah: pembuatan makanan fungsional sari kedelai dan formula kedelai. Makanan fungsional pada kelompok perlakuan diberikan selama 14 hari. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik t-tes dependent dan independent dengan derajat kepercayaan 95% (α < 0,05) dan dilanjutkan dengan analisa regresi linier ganda. Ada pengaruh pemberian formula kedelai dan sari kedelai terhadap kadar gula darah penderita DM Tipe 2. Rerata penurunan kadar gula darah pada kelompok yang diberikan formula kedelai sebesar 26.30 mg/dl, sedangkan pada kelompok yang diberikan sari kedelai sebesar 17.96 mg/dl. Formula kedelai dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah 8,34 mg/dl lebih besar daripada sari kedelai. Aktifitas fisik yang dilakukan secara teratur mempunyai peran untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah sebesar 33,828 mg/dl. Sari kedelai dan formula kedelai dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah pada penderita DM tipe 2.

Abstract

Hiperurisemia adalah kadar asam urat dalam darah yang melebihi batas normal. Asam urat dihasilkan oleh setiap makhluk hidup sebagai hasil dari proses metabolisme sel yang berfungsi untuk memelihara kelangsungan hidup. Jambu biji merah mengandung flavonoid yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan penghambat enzim xanthine oksidase untuk mensintesis hipoxantine ke xhantine dan xanthine menjadi asam urat. Tujuan Penelitian ini ntuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian juice jambu biji merah terhadap kadar asam urat darah pada penderita hiperurisemia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Sigli. Penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain Quasi Experimental yang dilakukan secara Pretest Posttest pada 32 orang subjek penelitian di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Sigli dilakukan pada Desember 2022. Kadar asam urat diukur dengan menggunakan GCU Easy touch. Selanjutnya data yang didapat akan di analisis menggunakan statistik-test berupa dependent T-Test dan Indepedent. Rerata dari kadar asam urat menurun sebanyak 1,55 mg/dl setelah pemberian rebusan. Pada kelompok tanpa pemberian rebusan rerata dari kadar asam urat menurun sebanyak 0,03 mg/dl. Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam perubahan kadar asam urat pada penderita hiperurisemia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Sigli setelah 7 hari pemberian jus jambu biji merah dengan nilai rata-rata penurunan sebanyak 1,24 mg/dl.

Abstract

The target community of posyandu is in accordance with the target of specific nutrition interventions for handling stunting. Posyandu is a place for pregnant, lactating mothers, infants and toddlers to get services that include maternal and child health in the form of growth and development monitoring, provision of vitamin A capsules, immunization, prevention and control of diarrhea, nutritional counseling according to their problems and family planning. Posyandu cadres are the main drivers of all activities carried out in the posyandu. One of the most basic posyandu problems is the low level of knowledge of cadres both from an academic and technical perspective, therefore to be able to provide optimal services at Posyandu, it is necessary to adjust the knowledge and skills of cadres, so that they are able to carry out Posyandu activities according to the norms, standards, procedures and criteria for developing Posyandu.In preventing stunting, the thing that must be considered is the balanced nutrition of pregnant women and nursing mothers. The purpose of this community service in general is to empower cadres to increase knowledge and skills in compiling and processing menus for pregnant women and nursing mothers as an effort to prevent stunting. The benefits of this activity are to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres in processing a balanced menu for pregnant women and nursing mothers so that cadres can provide this nutrition education widely, sustainably, and independently.Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in cadres' knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. A total of 85% of cadres showed a better understanding of nutrition and were able to develop a balanced menu.
