Abstract

Inflation is one of the macroeconomic problems faced by every country. Inflation reduces the purchasing power of money. Inflation occurs due to cost-push inflation, demand-pull inflation, and rising expectations. The main objectives of this study are to analyze the impact of the minimum wage on inflation, evaluate the effect of agricultural sector growth on inflation, examine the impact of industrial sector growth on inflation, and identify the impact of service sector growth on inflation. In order to attain these goals, an examination was conducted utilizing Eviews with panel data spanning from 2013 to 2022 across 38 regions in East Java. After conducting tests on different models, it has been determined that the REM model is the most optimal. Analyzing the results obtained through the REM model reveals that the impact of minimum wage on inflation is positive but not statistically significant. The growth of the agricultural sector has a positive and significant effect on inflation. The growth of the industrial sector has a positive and insignificant effect on inflation. Growth in the service sector has a positive and significant effect on inflation.

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, price, distribution and promotion on the demand for Xiaomi phones in Surabaya. This research is quantitative research using Accidental Sampling technique and uses primary data processed from the results of distributing questionnaires to 105 respondents who own Xiaomi as a research sample. The analysis techniques used include t-test, F-test, R2 and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS 26 program. The results of this study indicate that partially the product quality variable has a positive and significant effect, partially the price variable has a negative and significant effect, partially the distribution has a positive and significant effect, and partially the promotion has a positive and insignificant effect. Simultaneously product quality, price, distribution and promotion have a significant effect on demand.

Abstract

Human resources play a strategic role in determining organizational success, particularly in maintaining employee performance amid increasing job demands and business competition. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance and workload on employee performance through work engagement as a mediating variable at PT Panca Mitra Multiperdana Tbk, Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory causal research design. Data were collected from 100 employees selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that work-life balance and workload have a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Work engagement also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, work-life balance and workload do not have a significant direct effect on employee performance. In addition, work engagement fully mediates the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance, as well as the relationship between workload and employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that the research model explains 77.1% of the variation in employee performance, which reflects strong predictive ability. The findings show that employee performance is more strongly influenced by work engagement than by work-life balance and workload directly. Therefore, organizations need to prioritize strategies that enhance work engagement by creating a proper work-life balance and managing workload effectively to improve employee performance.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged companies to adopt employer branding and digital recruitment strategies to attract Generation Z job applicants. This study aims to analyze the influence of employer branding and digital recruitment on job application intention through candidate experience as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to 115 Generation Z respondents in East Java and Bali who had experience applying for jobs. The results indicate that employer branding and digital recruitment have a positive and significant effect on candidate experience and job application intention. However, candidate experience does not significantly affect job application intention and is unable to mediate the relationship between employer branding and digital recruitment on job application intention. The findings indicate that employer branding and digital recruitment directly influence Generation Z's job application intention, whereas candidate experience does not function as a significant mediator. Therefore, organizations should prioritize strengthening employer branding and optimizing digital recruitment systems to attract Generation Z applicants.

Abstract
