Abstract

AbstractThe optimal employee performance in companies engaged in strategic industries is a target that must be continuously improved for the survival of the company. Achieving the optimal performance is expected to be able to meet the needs of consumers and customers. The purpose of this study is to find out how much participatory leadership and physical work environment contributes to employee performance in companies engaged in strategic industries. The research method used is a quantitative method using surveys and questionnaires as research instruments. Respondents in this study is 74 employees. The results of the study showed a positive and significant influence between variables; participatory leadership on performance, physical work environment on performance, and participatory leadership and physical work environment simultaneously on performance. It is expected that the results of this study can contribute meaningfully to the development of the company. Besides this, it is expected that the results of this research can be taken into consideration in taking company policies and decisions as well as improving the quality of research for universities. Keywords: participatory leadership, physical work environment, and performance. AbstrakKinerja optimal dari karyawan perusahaan di industri strategis merupakan target yang harus terus ditingkatkan untuk kelangsungan hidup perusahaan. Pencapaian kinerja yang optimal diharapkan mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen dan pelanggan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besaar kontribusi kepemimpinan partisipatif dan lingkungan kerja fisik terhadap kinerja karyawan pada perusahaan yang bergerak pada industri strategis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan survey dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 74 karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara variabel kemimpinan partisiatif terhadap kinerja, lingkungan kerja fisik terhadap kinerja, dan kepemimpinan partisipastif dan lingkungan kerja fisik secara simultan terhadap kinerja. Diharapkan dari hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi yang berarti bagi perkembangan perusahaan. Selain hal tersebut diharapkan hasil dari penenelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan di dalam mengambil kebijakan dan keputusan perusahaan serta meningkatkan mutu penelitian bagi perguruan tinggi. Kata kunci: kepemimpinan partisipatif, lingkungan kerja fisik, dan kinerja.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAlthough the poverty rate in Indonesia for several years has always decreased, but for provinces or districts that have underdevelopend or lagging regions indicate that the poverty rate in the area is still quite high, especially on Madura Island. Madura Island has a high poverty rate even int the Sampang district has the highest percentage on the island of Java. With abundant natural resources which are expected to increase economic growth and reduce poverty if managed properly. This study aims to determine whether the four independent variables influence the poverty rate on Madura Island in 2004-2015. The data used in this study is to use secondary data in the form of time series data in 2004-2015 and a cross section of 4 district in Madura Island. In this research the independent variables is open unemployment, human development index, gross regional domestik product, and minimum wages. While dependent variable is poverty level in Madura Island. With using panel data estimation models and fixed effect model approaches. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that partially the open unemployment rate variables have a positive and significat effect on poverty level, human development index has a negative and significant effect on poverty, gross regional products have a negative and not significant effect on poverty level, minimum wages has a negative and significant effect simultaneous poverty level all independent variables have a significant effect on poverty level in Madura Island.Keywords: Poverty, Open Unemployment, HDI, GDRP, Minimum Wage
