Abstract

The development of multimedia-based learning tools continues to advance alongside technological innovations, particularly in recognizing parts of the human body such as fingers. This study aims to develop an interactive learning application for identifying the names of fingers using motion capture technology through Mediapipe and the Python programming language. The application utilizes a webcam as the input device to detect hand positions and movements in real-time. The system is designed to recognize individual fingers by comparing the length of finger segments and the width of the palm, based on hand landmark data provided by the Mediapipe Hands module. Testing results show that the application achieved a 90% success rate across 50 trials. These results indicate that Mediapipe technology holds significant potential for use in the development of interactive and educational learning media.

Abstract

Currently, attendance recording faces challenges, especially with validation using Mac Addresses which is suboptimal due to the dynamic nature of device IP Addresses. To address this issue, the researcher proposes integrating the existing management system with RFID-based attendance. RFID technology enables tracking and identification using radio waves without direct contact, ensuring efficient and accurate attendance recording. The system will send attendance notifications to teachers via WhatsApp and store data in a database, facilitating monthly summaries and ensuring data security and availability for future reference. This research utilizes blackbox testing to evaluate system accuracy, achieving a 95% accuracy rate in RFID tag readings and successful RFID tag scanning processes. Network speed measurement using QoS shows favorable results, with a throughput of 77.4 Kbps, zero packet loss, an average delay of 1.919 ms, and jitter of 1.92 ms in tests involving 15 RFID tags

Abstract

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) adalah teknologi yang dirancang untuk menyatukan infomasi dari berbagai sumber keamanan untuk dilakukan analisis yang menghasilkan pelaporan yang efektif. Platform Wazuh menawarkan teknologi SIEM yang memberikan solusi bermanfaat untuk keamanan jaringan pada perusahaan penyedia layanan internet seperti PT. Medianusa Permana. Platform Wazuh mampu mendeteksi berbagai jenis serangan seperti Denial of Service (DoS) yang dibuktikan dengan percobaan serangan sebanyak 5 serangan dengan beban 20, 40, 60, 80, dan 100, yang menghasilkan peningkatan nilai pada fitur Threat Hunting sebesar 642 dan Event sebanyak 705. SQL Injection juga dilakukan sebanyak 5 serangan yang menghasilkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada fitur Mittre Attack sebanyak 400 dan pada fitur Threat Hunting juga terdapat lonjakan nilai dari nilai awal 163 menjadi 54.325 setelah dilakukan serangan SQL Injection sebanyak 5 kali serangan. Teknologi Monitoring pada PT. Medianusa Permana terdapat peningkatan ketika telah dilakukan implementasi SIEM, yang sebelumnya hanya terdapat monitoring resource dari sistem server perusahaan tersebut, kini teknologi monitoring pada perusahaan tersebut sudah mampu mendeteksi berbagai jenis serangan jaringan yang dapat meminimalisir resiko ancaman insiden keamanan jaringan menggunakan Platform Wazuh.

Abstract

Dalam era dimana komputasi awan (cloud computing) menjadi pondasi utama untuk menyimpan dan mengelola data, keamanan informasi menjadi aspek yang harus diperhatikan. Ancaman keamanan yang terus berkembang, seperti serangan brute-force dan DDoS. Penelitian ini menginvestigasi dan implementasi Fail2ban sebagai bentuk solusi untuk melindungi sistem keamanan pada lingkungan cloud . Penelitian ini mencakup analisis kelemahan keamanan umum yang dihadapi oleh sistem cloud  dan merinci bagaimana serangan brute-force dan DDoS dapat mempengaruhi kestabilan dan kerahasiaan data. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi implementasi Fail2ban dalam melindungi keamanan sistem pada Cloud  dan server Ubuntu. Setelah diimplementasikan Fail2ban, percobaan login pada SSH Cloud  dan Ubuntu Server berhasil diblokir setelah maksimal 5 kali percobaan sampai akhirnya diberhentikan oleh Fail2ban.. Rata-rata waktu yang diperlukan Fail2ban untuk memblokir serangan brute force adalah 0,4 detik pada Cloud  dan 1,9 detik pada Ubuntu Server. Pengujian serangan DDoS dengan 10000 paket menunjukkan bahwa Fail2ban dapat mengurangi dampak serangan DDoS, CPU Ubuntu Server yang mulanya 100% turun menjadi 25%. Namun pada Cloud Server, telah memiliki layanan anti DDoS sendiri. Meskipun demikian, dari seluruh hasil pengujian dan monitoring, dapat disimpulkan bahwa fail2ban berhasil menghentikan adanya serangan brute force namun pada serangan DDoS, fail2ban tidak dapat menghentikan serangan tersebut seperti pada serangan brute force.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education quality assurance has become imperative following the enactment of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023. This study proposes the development of a web-based Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLO) measurement system to accelerate academic evaluation effectiveness at Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. Employing a Research and Development (RD) approach with the Waterfall development model, this research designs the system architecture using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern to ensure application scalability and modularity. The system integrates academic data management features, automated GLO calculations, and analytical data visualization to support data-driven decision-making. System testing involved User Acceptance Testing (UAT), yielding a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 82.3, indicating an 'excellent' user acceptance level. The results confirm that this platform not only meets national regulatory compliance standards but also enhances transparency and objectivity in graduate quality reporting. This implementation makes a strategic contribution to the modernization of institutional academic governance.

Abstract

Technological developments are advancing rapidly every year, such as the technology developed in various aspects of life, one of them is the Internet of Things, one of which can be applied in agriculture. The role of IoT in agriculture: In general, farmers have problems with rice quality due to pests in rice fields, which is a serious problem, such as bird pests. This results in a decline in rice quality. In this study, the author came up with an idea to solve this problem by designing an IoT-based bird repellent system. The author also hopes that this research can help the community or farmers in repelling birds from rice fields in a way that can be controlled or monitored using an IoT application. This study uses the QoS method, which functions as a measurement of network performance. The results of network measurement using the QoS method showed an average throughput of 75 kbps, packet loss of 0.1%, and delay of 61 ms. Based on the testing, the rice pest repellent showed performance capable of detecting bird pests at the distances of 80 cm, and was also able to detect grasshoppers at a distances of 20 cm. On the other hand, this device was also able to detect humans at a distances of 500 cm. During operation, when bird pests are detected, the gearbox motor will move automatically, and the DC siren will activate automatically, indicating the presence of bird pests.
