Abstract

Abstract

The establishment of micro-enterprises for Independent Workers (TKM) aimed at enhancing sustainable food security in Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua, is a crucial initiative to bolster local food production sustainably. This study investigates the challenges of TKM and the cooperation among stakeholders in the regional employment expansion initiative. Qualitative research was employed, encompassing field observation, interviews with micro-entrepreneurs and stakeholders, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with local populations. The findings indicate that the Independent Workers (TKM) initiative significantly enhances local economic development by empowering micro-enterprises in food production and processing. Challenges faced by TKM, specifically restricted financial access, market entry, corporate governance, and digital marketing, continue to pose substantial barriers. Cooperation among government agencies, commercial firms, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations is crucial for addressing these challenges. This study underscores the necessity for a unified strategy to enhance TKM development, fostering sustainable food systems and economic resilience. This collaborative methodology seeks to produce insights for attaining the sustainable development goals (SDGs) associated with poverty alleviation and hunger reduction in the region.

Abstract

Mandalika, recognized as one of Indonesia's super-priority tourism attractions, offers substantial prospects for local economic advancement. Nonetheless, obstacles in employment and entrepreneurship endure due to skill discrepancies, restricted access to resources, and inadequate social support systems. This study assess: (i) ascertain the function of social support in mitigating employment and entrepreneurial obstacles and (ii) investigate solutions for creating a sustainable local economic ecosystem. Data were obtained utilizing a mixed-method approach, encompassing surveys, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The results demonstrate that social support is essential in alleviating employment obstacles, especially in enhancing access to training, mentorship, and financial resources. The study underscores a deficiency in stakeholder integration, as local governments, business organizations, and university institutions exhibit insufficient coordination in promoting sustainable entrepreneurship. The study delineates primary obstacles, such as the lack of organized business models, insufficient marketing acumen, and poor financial oversight inside micro and small firms. The report offers a multi-stakeholder entrepreneurship strategy that focuses on accessibility, capacity building, and ongoing mentorship to address these concerns. These initiatives, along with enhanced policy frameworks and digital adaption, are crucial for promoting economic resilience. The findings highlight the necessity for a holistic support framework that amalgamates community involvement, regulatory modifications, and sustainable business methodologies to guarantee equitable economic advancement in Mandalika. Future study should concentrate on assessing the enduring effects of social support systems on improving economic sustainability and resilience.

Abstract

Advances in technology have now spread to all aspects of life and profession. When archiving, it is appropriate to use a computerized system to make archiving and processing letters easier. However, there are still few who take advantage of current technological advances. One of them is the TEXMACO PURWASARI Vocational High School which still archives letters in paper form (hard copy). Manual archiving has weaknesses that pose many risks. By designing the UI/UX of an archival information system, it is hoped that it can solve existing problems. In designing the UI/UX, the user center design (UCD) method is applied, which is a method for analyzing the UI/UX design of an electronic archival information system. seen from the system user's side, so that the system design is designed according to the user's needs, the result of this research is an archival information system design plan which is equipped with a database plan that is tailored to the user's needs, then testing the system design that has been created using the system method usability scale (SUS).

Abstract

Batanati is a tradition of the Batujungku community on Buru Island which is carried out before a celebration. The community helps each other by handing over a sum of money to the owner of the celebration and is mandatory. This study aims to explore the substantive values of the batanati tradition of the Buru Island community and its coexistence with Islamic law. This study uses empirical research using primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the data obtained is then analyzed based on the perspective of Islamic law. This study uses a conceptual and historical approach to reveal the coexistence of the substantive values of the batanati tradition with Islamic law. The results of the study show that the batanati tradition is an interaction between individuals that contains local wisdom, namely the values of mutual assistance, unity, togetherness and brotherhood. These values become a reference and are cultivated by the community in each generation so that they become a social force. In an Islamic perspective, the batanati tradition is categorized as 'urf Sahih because it is a habit that has been carried out from generation to generation and can also be accepted and carried out by many people and does not conflict with sharia'. Therefore, the Batanati tradition needs to be maintained and the Batanati tradition continues to prioritize deliberation and consensus in order to be in line with Islamic values.
