Abstract

One of the strategies for learning musical ensembles as character strengthening is the Trihayu approach. The aim of this research is to analyze and develop strategies to strengthen student character that are in line with Tamansiswa teachings, especially with the Trihayu teaching approach. This research used qualitative methods at the Santa Theresia Catholic Elementary School, Ternate City. With resource persons from class teachers and music art teachers, using data analysis techniques for data collection, data reduction, presenting data, and verification/drawing conclusions. The music ensemble teaching strategy as strengthening students' character is in line with Trihayu's approach which is carried out in various ways such as habituation, modeling, using media and providing contextual examples so that it is hoped that students' closeness to nationalism will be well established.

Abstract

Based on the results of the evaluation of the reading comprehension skills of class III students at Tukangan State Elementary School, it was stated that the reading comprehension skills of class III students at Tukangan State Elementary School were still lacking. Thus, this research aims to improve reading comprehension skills in fairy tales using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy for class III students at SD Negeri Tukangan Yogyakarta. This type of research is collaborative classroom action research. This research was carried out at Tukangan Yogyakarta State Elementary School with the research subjects being all 20 grade III students at Tukangan Yogyakarta State Elementary School, consisting of 10 male students and 10 female students. In this research, researchers used an action research design developed by Kemmis and Taggart with a spiral model. The data collection methods used are tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative descriptive statistics, namely by finding the average. The results of the research show that learning fairy tale reading comprehension skills using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy can improve the fairy tale reading comprehension skills of third grade students at SD Negeri Temanan Yogyakarta. The increase in fairy tale reading comprehension skills up to cycle I, meeting 2 was 7.85, from the initial condition of 60.20, it increased to 68.05. In cycle II, meeting 2, it increased by 15.45, from the initial condition of 60.20 it increased to 75.65.

Abstract

The background to the problem in this research is the lack of creativity of students in learning. This research applies the Project Based Learning model in learning as an effort to increase students' creativity. This research aims to measure the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning learning model on student creativity in class 5 jumputan batik making learning material. The data collection method in this research is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. The subjects in this research were students in grades 5 and 6 of SDN 3 Getas for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling around 56 students. From the results of data processing before implementing the student activeness model it was 52%, while after implementing the project based learning model it was 89%, so there is an increase of 37% from before. From theoretical studies collected, many studies have proven that Project Based Learning can increase students' creativity. In the research conducted, it can be found that the Project Based Learning method is effective in increasing students' creativity based on the results of data collection.

Abstract

To the goal of learning, teachers use various means, one of which is the use of learning media. One of the defence media that can be refined in the observation of the material of the Operation Perkalian in the pupils is the use of the mathematical numerical trick. (TEKAT). Developing a valid and practical mathematical cross-puzzle media is the goal of this research. Subjects in the research trial were students of class III at SDN K in the area of Kapanewon Sedayu Bantul. This research is based on Borg & Gall procedures. This research has produced valid data from design experts of 96%. While the level of practicality of the media of the mathematical puzzle game is described as very practical in the trial in class III SDN K in the area of Kapanewon Sedayu Bantul with a percentage of 95.6%. Based on the acquisition of percentages shows that the medium of the developed mathematics puzzle games is very useful and makes it easy for students to learn math in particular in the operation of integer numbers.

Abstract

Mathematics and SBDP (Social and Cultural Arts and Physical Education) are mandatory subjects in Elementary School. From grade 1 to grade 6, these subjects are taught. So far, Mathematics is considered a difficult subject, causing many students to be uninterested in it. This lack of interest results in a low motivation to attend Mathematics lessons. Given this phenomenon, it is necessary to create engaging lessons for students. These lessons can be integrated with other subjects and also related to P5 (Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles), in line with the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. Projects with cultural values, themed on local wisdom, are ideal. Additionally, in this digital age, we must be able to implement multimedia learning to facilitate the delivery of lesson materials to students. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing multimedia based on local song lyrics in increasing the motivation and understanding of first-grade students at SD Negeri Muntilan in Mathematics. The background of this research is the low interest of students in Mathematics, which is often considered difficult and boring. The number of research subjects is 27 first-grade students at SD Negeri Muntilan who show a lack of motivation and understanding in Mathematics. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The experimental group received Mathematics lessons through multimedia based on local song lyrics, while the control group received lessons using conventional methods. Data were collected through Mathematics comprehension tests and learning motivation questionnaires before and after the intervention. The results of the study show that the use of multimedia based on local song lyrics significantly increases students' motivation and understanding of Mathematics. The average Mathematics comprehension scores of the students increased by 23%, while their learning motivation increased by 28%. These findings indicate that this innovative approach is effective in changing students' perceptions of Mathematics and improving their learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of multimedia based on local song lyrics can be an effective strategy in increasing students' motivation and understanding of Mathematics in first-grade elementary school. The integration of local culture in learning not only helps preserve cultural heritage but also makes the learning process more engaging and enjoyable for students.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ interst and understanding of the material “Me and My Needs” using children’s song audio media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subject of the study were fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Wonokerso. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and student comprehension tests. The results of the study indicate that the use of song audio significantly increased students’ interest dan undersatanding of the tought material. In the first cycle, student interest began to rise although the comprehension remained relatively low. In the second cycle, there was a significant improvement in both interest and comprehension. The third cycle showed optimal results, where almost all students demonstrated high interest and good comprehension of the material. Therefore, the use of song audio media is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ interest and understanding of the material “Me and My Needs”. The implementation of this strategy is recommended as an innovative and enjoyable alternative for primary school learning.

Abstract

  Pendidikan dasar merupakan tahapan yang penting dalam pembentukan karakter generasi muda, untuk mewujudkan keserasian, keharmonisan, serta keseimbangan dalam kehidupan. Wayang merupakan salah satu unsur kebudayaan yang mempunyai peranan vital dalam menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan kepribadian bangsa melalui keteladanan tokoh-tokohnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali peran proyek pertunjukan kreasi wayang barang bekas sebagai media penanaman pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar berbasis Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, data yang diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan wawancara dianalisis sesuai dengan kajian teori yang relevan, kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar di Sleman dengan latar belakang kehidupan masyarakat berbudaya Jawa. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa proyek pertunjukan kreasi wayang barang bekas dengan cerita perang Baratayuda, mampu menanamkan karakter pada siswa yang meliputi karakter religius, nilai kebangsaan atau cinta tanah air, kejujuran, kerja keras, dan sikap pantang menyerah. Hasil kajian diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter demi terwujudnya generasi penerus yang berkarakter. Proyek pertunjukkan kreasi wayang barang bekas dapat menjadi alternatif inovasi pembelajaran berbasis seni budaya dan keterampilan.
