Abstract

Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii is the pathogen causing stewart’s wilt disease in maize. The occurrence of the disease was recently reported in Indonesia with limited information. Research was conducted to characterize several isolates of P. stewartii subsp. stewartii isolated from maize plants collected from 6 districts in West Sumatra. Leaves showing yellow stripes symptoms along the vein was ground and suspeneded then the bacteria was isolated and incubated for 3 × 24 h at room temperature in nutrient glucose agar (NGA). Pure bacterial colonies gained from this medium was used for characterization. Assessment of bacterial characters was conducted based on morphological assay, physiological assay, biological assay (hypersensitivity, and pathogenicity) followed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based identification. Unique characters of the family Enterobacteriaceae was observed on 7 isolates based on morphological and physiological characters, and only 4 isolates (PR1, PP, ST1, LA) gave positive reaction on hypersensitivity and pathogenicity test. Further molecular identification confirmed 3 out of 7 isolates had high homology to Pantoea stewartii, i.e. Pantoea stewartii strain R1-104, R1-132, and ATCC 29923 for isolates LA, PR1, and PR2, respectively.

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq) is a plantation crop that plays an important role for Indonesia as a mainstay commodity for export and as a commodity that is expected to increase farmers' income. Currently, Indonesia is the largest producer of crude palm oil (CPO) in the world. The research was conducted from March - July 2018. The aim of the research was to obtain the best POC concentration for the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) seedlings. The research was in the form of an experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications, so there were 25 experimental units. As treatments are various concentrations of POC, namely: 0.20%, 40%, 60%, 80%. The data for each observation of oil palm seeds obtained was analyzed using the Duncant's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk kompos terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) telah dilaksanakan di Jorong Lekok Batu Gadang Nagari Sungai Nanam Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok, dari Agustus s/d November 2017.  Penelitian untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kompos terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah.  Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap 5 perlakuan 5 ulangan, terdapat 25 satuan percobaan.  Perlakuan adalah beberapa dosis pupuk kompos, yaitu : A =0 ton.ha‑1; B = 4 ton.ha‑1; C =8 ton.ha‑1; D = 12 ton.ha‑1; E =16 ton.ha‑1.  Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistika dengan sidik ragam (uji F), jika F hitung > F tabel maka dilanjutkan dengan DNMRT pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil percobaan memperlihatkan bahwa pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk kompos pada tanaman bawang merah memberikan pengaruh sangat berbeda nyata untuk pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan diameter umbi, tapi tidak berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot umbi basah per rumpun dan per plot, bobot umbi kering panen per rumpun, dan per plot. Dilihat dari pertumbuhan, maka perlakuan E = 16 ton.ha-1 memperlihatkan pengaruh yang terbaik, sedangkan untuk produksi  perlakuan D = 12 ton.ha‑1 memperlihatkan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tanaman bawang merah. Dapat disarankan penggunaan dosis 12 ton.ha-1 untuk tanaman bawang merah.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang Pengaruh pemberian beberapa takaran bokashi pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.) telah di laksanakan pada lahan percobaan Dinas Pertanian Pangan dan Perikanan Kota Pariaman di BPP kecamatan Pariaman Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat, dari bulan September sampai dengan November 2019. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui takaran bokashi pupuk kandang ayam yang tepat bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Sawi (Brassica juncea L)”. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancang Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 25 satuan percobaan dan masing-masing satuan percobaan terdiri 6 polybag tanaman, sehingga terdapat 150 polybag tanaman. Seluruh tanaman jadi tanaman sampel. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan Uji F. Kemudian dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf nyata 5 %. Perlakuan yang diberikan dalam percobaan ini adalah bokashi pupuk kandang ayam dengan takaran sebagai berikut; A = 0 ton/ha, B = 5 ton/ha, C = 10 ton/ha, D = 15 ton/ha dan E = 20 ton/ha. Pemberian beberapa takaran bokashi pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi memperlihatkan pengaruh yang berbeda sangat nyata terhadap variabel-variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun terpanjang, lebar daun terlebar dan berat basah per tanaman. Pemberian bokashi pupuk kandang ayam 5 ton/ha memperlihatkan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L).

Abstract

This research was conducted in Koto Panjang Ikur Koto Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City with an altitude of 20 meters above sea level from March to June 2019. The aim of the study was to determine and obtain the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and rice washing water for growth. and peanut yields. Experiments were carried out in the field using a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 groups so that there were 24 experimental units in total. Each experimental unit consisted of 15 plants and 5 of them were sampled, totaling 360 plants, spacing 40 x 20 cm. The treatments given were various concentrations of POC banana peel and rice washing water as follows A: Without POC B: POC with a concentration of 4% C: POC with a concentration of 8% D: POC with a concentration of 12% E: POC with a concentration of 16% F: POC with a concentration of 20%. The data from the observations obtained were analyzed with the F test and continued with the Duncant's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and water washing rice to peanuts had no significant effect on plant height, number of primary branches, number of pods per plant, number of pithy pods per plant, weight of pods per plant, weight of pods per plot. , seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot and seed weight at 14% KA. The application of liquid organic fertilizer for banana peels and rice washing water has not been able to increase the growth and yield of peanut plants.

Abstract

An experiment on the effect of giving bokashi tithonia on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) was carried out in Korong Gadang Village, Kuranji District, Padang City, West Sumatra. This research was conducted from March to April 2019. The purpose of this study was to obtain the dose of bokashi tithonia. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were: A = Control (without Bokashi), B = Bokashi Tithonia 3 t.ha-1 (33.75 g tan-1), C = Bokashi Tithonia 6 t.ha-1 (67.5 g tan- 1), D = Bokashi Tithonia 9 t.ha-1 (101.3 g tan-1), E = Bokashi Tithonia 12 t.ha-1 (135 g tan-1), F = Bokashi Tithonia 15 t.ha- 1 (168.75 g tan-1). The data for each observation were obtained and analyzed by means of variance, if F count > F table, then it was continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a significant level of 5%. The experimental results showed that the effect of giving Bokashi Tithonia on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, widest leaf width, plant fresh weight, while giving effect on longest leaf length. So that the best dose of Bokashi Tithonia has not been obtained for the growth and yield of mustard greens. Based on the above, it can be suggested to conduct research on Bokashi Tithonia at a rate higher than 15 tons/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian dalam bentuk percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Karang Tangah, Kecamatan Lengayang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Sumatra Barat, bulan September-Desember 2021. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kosentrasi POC Limbah Cair Tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancang Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 kelompok sehingga didapat 25 satuan percobaan yang masing-masingnya terdiri dari 6 tanaman sehingga jumlah keseluruhan 150 tanaman. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: A = konsentrasi limbah cair tahu 0%, B = konsentrasi limbah cair tahu 15% (150 ml/1 air), C = konsentrasi limbah cair tahu 30% (300 ml/1 air), D = konsetrasi limbah cair tahu 45% (450 ml/1air), E = konsetrasi limbah cair tahu 60% (600 ml/1 air). Hasil penelitian pemberian kosentrasi limbah cair tahu memberikan pengaruh yang tidak berbeda nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, bobot segar tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun terpanjang, dan lebar daun terlebar. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan belum didapatkan konsentrasi POC limbah cair tahu yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Berdasarkan kesimpulan di atas dapat disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian lanjut dengan konsentrasi POC limbah cair tahu lebih besar dari 60%.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the koto Panjang Ikur village, Koto tangah District, Padang city, West Sumatra Provience. This research starts in January-April 2022. The objective of the study was to obtain a comparison of the best growing media from the application of swallow droppings fertilizer on the growth of oil palm (elaeis guineensis jacq) seedlings in the pre nursery. This experiment used a completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, so there were 24 experimental units. Each experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 polibags, so there were 144 polybags. The treatment is as follows : A = Top Soil, B = Top Soil : Swallow manure fertilizer (1:1), C = Top Soil : Swallow manure fertilizer (2:1). Observational data were analyzed statistically with variance (f test). If f count > from f table 5%, proceed with duncans new multiple range test (DNMRT) test at 5% significance level. Variables observed were seedling height. Number of leaves (midrib), tuber diameter, top fresh weight, top dry weight, root length, root fresh weiht, root dry weight, and visual observation. From the experimental results it was concluded that the application of swallow manure fertilizer had a very significantly different effect on the increase in seedling height, number of leaves . hump diameter, upper fresh weight, upper dry weight, root length, fresht root weight, and was not significantly different in weightdry roots. The ratio of Top Soil : Swallow manure fertilizer (1:2) is the best ratio for the growth of oil palm seedlings (elaeis guineensis jacq) in the pre nursery when compared to other treatments

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengaruh nutrisi AB Mix dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.) telah dilaksanakan di lahan hidroponik 55, Kelurahan Cupak Tangah, Kecamatan Pauh, Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat. Dimulai dari bulan Februari sampai Maret 2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi nutrisi AB Mix yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga terdapat 96 tanaman, semua tanaman diamati. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji F. Kemudian dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian beberapa konsentrasi AB Mix menunjukkan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, berat basah akar, berat basah bagian atas dan berat basah per tanaman. Berbeda sangat nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan lebar daun dan berbeda tidak nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan jumlah daun. Pemberian nutrisi AB Mix 2,4% menunjukkan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.).

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Pengaruh Beberapa Dosis Bokashi Kotoran Kambing Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Caisim (Brassica juncea L) telah dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Pitameh Tanjung Saba Nan XX, Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung, Kota Padang. Pelaksanaan dari Januari  sampai Maret 2023.  Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan dosis bokashi kotoran kambing  terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman caisim (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian dalam bentuk percobaan  dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 5 Perlakuan 5 Ulangan, sehingga berjumlah 25 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga seluruhnya 100 tanaman semua tanaman diamati.  Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah beberapa dosis bokashi kotoran kambing yaitu: Perlakuan A =  0 t/ha  (tanpa Bokashi); Perlakuan B  10 t/ha; Perlakuan C = 20 t/ha;  Perlakuan D = 30 t/ha Perlakuan E = 40 t/ha. Data-data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji F dilanjutkan dengan  Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis bokashi kotoran kambing berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanamaan caisim, yang mana berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, lebar daun terlebar,  panjang akar,  berat bagian atas tanaman, dan berbeda tidak nyata terhadap panjang daun terpanjang. Pemberian beberapa dosis bokashi kotoran kambing dengan dosis 20 ton/ha (224,9 g/tanaman ) merupakan perlakuan terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman caisim.
