Abstract

Batu bata merupakan bahan bangunan yang sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat. Desa Padang Langgis, Kecamatan Seruway Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang terdapat sentra pengolahan batu bata merah. Ibu Riana adalah  salah satu pemilik usaha mikro kecil menengah (UMKM) batu bata merah di desa tersebut yang dijadikan mitra PKM. Dalam proses produksi mitra mempekerjakan 5 orang. Produksi batu bata diawali dengan pengadukan tanah liat, pencetakan batu bata merah, pengeringan batu bata merah dan pembakaran batu bata. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah pekerja hanya bisa mencetak 1.000 buah/hari, dan lama pengeringan memerlukan waktu dua sampai tiga minggu. Hal ini dikarenakan kadar air hasil cetakan batu bata sangat tinggi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah membuat alat pencetak batu bata otomatis yang mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas dalam proses pembuatan batu bata dengan kualitas batu bata merah yang lebih baik.. Tahapan PKM ini adalah persiapan, sosialisasi kegiatan PKM, pengadaan mesin dan peralatan, perakitan alat, uji coba, penerapan teknologi, dan pendampingan. Mesin pembuat batu bata merah ini memiliki kemampuan untuk menghasilkan batu bata merah dengan ukuran dan bentuk yang seragam, sehingga kualitas batu bata merah yang dihasilkan lebih baik dan lebih konsisten.

Abstract

Plastic containers are an alternative choice for the most widely used people as food and beverage packaging. According to research, the use of plastic that does not meet the requirements will cause various health problems, because it can trigger cancer and damage to tissues in the human body (carcinogenic). The lack of public knowledge about the dangers of plastic as a food container and the use of inappropriate plastic is a factor in the use of plastic which is sometimes not in accordance with its designation. For this reason, socialization and education are needed to know about the main types of plastic. This service was held at Dasawisma Merpati, Sidodadi Village, attended by 36 Dasawisma members. The community service program for outreach and education on the dangers of plastic for food and beverage containers is well implemented. This is evidenced by the participation of Dasawisma members and their understanding of the material. It was concluded that this educational program effectively modifies participants' attitudes and knowledge regarding the risks of using plastics in the processing and packaging of food and beverage products.

Abstract

The completeness of the Gampong administration is something that must be done to achieve administrative order. The community service activities carried out in Gampong Sembuang which is located in the Lokop sub-district of East Aceh district aim to obtain the Gampong Sembuang Mosque Design, the Keuchik Office Design, and the Gampong Sembuang Map. The method used for the design activities of the Gampong Semburan Mosque and the Keuchik Office Design was to go directly to the field to obtain exact land size and shape data, while for Village Mapping activities the assistance was assisted using the Google Earth application and the student version of ArcGIS. The results of the community service activities were in the form of a poster of the Village Map, the design of the Gampong Mosque, and the Office of the Gampong Keuchik which were handed over to the Keuchik of Sembuang Gampong.
