Abstract

The study objective was to seek the favored tenets betwixt mobile-assisted-language-learning (MALL) listening-reading appliances by video-conferencing-technology (VCT) and direct-listening-reading appliances to Madurese-scholar’s second-language (L2) vocabulary-knowledge (VK) listening-reading competencies. The analysis of variance (ANOVA), which produced concurrences, contained 41 scholars in two distinct emplacements amidst a Madurese-scholars preponderance and the different amounts in groups. Several significant conclusions emerged from the current ANOVA analysis. First, the comprehensive implication betwixt MALL listening-reading-appliance and direct-listening-reading-appliance to scholar’s L2-VK listening-reading competencies was not substantiated because it was more than level significant (0.440>0.05). Second, we convened cognizance by direct perception, inside and outside deliberation, and documented it. Third, the cross-examination eventualities of perception-documentation were coded, and research eventualities established the Madurese-scholar higher education framework to pervade case study evidence vacuity that aims to scrutinize: i) the Madurese-scholar teaching-learning peculiarities performance of MALL-VCT-Zoom and Smart-TV multimedia edification; ii) Madurese-scholar interminable concurrences in MALL-VCT-Zoom and Smart-TV; and iii) impediments obtain by MALL-VCT-Zoom and Smart-TV during participation in edification. Irrevocably, concurrence betwixt MALL-VCT-Zoom and smart-TV to scholars’ L2-VK listening-reading competencies were interrelated impacts as Madurese-scholars can learn conveniently with their necessity and concurrently utilize smart-TV or Zoom despite their impediments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris di perguruan tinggi di Pulau Madura. Studi ini melibatkan 54 partisipan, terdiri dari 21 dosen bahasa Inggris dan 33 akademisi, yang datanya dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi temuan kunci, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan kurangnya kesadaran dan penggunaan aktif TIK dalam pengajaran. Salah satu temuan utama adalah munculnya tema “We Don’t Perceive; Thus, We Don’t Expend It,” yang mencerminkan sikap acuh tak acuh terhadap efektivitas teknologi di kelas. Studi ini juga menemukan hubungan antara sikap negatif para dosen terhadap pengajaran dan rendahnya integrasi TIK dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, yang menunjukkan bahwa sikap tersebut kemungkinan besar menjadi penghalang utama dalam penerapan teknologi di lingkungan pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to optimise the role of Augmented Reality (AR) by investigating how interactivity and vividness influence brand image and consumer purchase intention. Adopting a quantitative approach, data were gathered through an online questionnaire distributed to 130 respondents selected via purposive sampling, based on age classifications aligned with digital consumption trends from Katadata.id. The constructs were measured using a 5-point Likert scale and analysed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software, which is well-suited for evaluating complex relationships in small to medium-sized samples. The findings indicate that vividness significantly influences purchase intention and positively affects brand image. Additionally, purchase intention is found to have a strong impact on brand image. The novelty of this study lies in its application of AR technology to explore its perceptual impact on branding, highlighting the pivotal role of visual interactivity. These insights underscore the importance of incorporating vivid and interactive AR features in digital marketing strategies. The research contributes to the growing literature on immersive technologies in consumer behaviour and offers practical implications for e-commerce firms aiming to enhance brand perception and drive conversions in a competitive digital marketplace.

Abstract

The research was conducted to find the perceptions of English teachers and students toward the use of authentic reading materials in schools. The study was conducted at three junior high schools in Pamekasan. A research survey was employed with seven steps: (1) Questionnaire Development and Validation; (2) Try-Out; (3) Questionnaire Distribution; (4) Data Analysis; (5) Interview; (6) Result; and (7) Conclusion. In collecting the data, two kinds of instruments, consisting of a close-ended questionnaire, were distributed via Google form to six English teachers and 73 students in grade nine, and an interview with the English teachers was conducted. Using SPSS for data analysis, the results showed that 83.3% of teachers strongly agreed that authentic materials are up-to-date and relevant to everyday life, with an average score of 3.8 on a 4-point Likert scale. For students, 75.3% agreed that authentic materials increased their interest in reading English texts, with an average score of 3.1.  The research findings revealed that authentic reading materials in the ninth grade had various advantages; the material taught is easy to understand, up-to-date, relevant to everyday life, increases the students’ motivation, and mastering vocabulary. Meanwhile, there were various disadvantages; students still feel sluggish when they must read the assigned text; they require more time to grasp the text; it is difficult to locate appropriate authentic material for students; and students hope that teacher will leave the class soon. In conclusion, while authentic reading materials present certain challenges, their benefits in enhancing student engagement and motivation outweigh the drawbacks. Teachers can address these challenges by implementing a variety of solutions to improve the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Salah satu mata kuliah dasar yang harus dipelajari oleh para sarjana sesuai dengan jurusan yang dipilihnya adalah Bahasa Inggris. Bahasa Inggris untuk Tujuan Khusus (ESP) sangat penting bagi para sarjana, terutama untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis. Di Pulau Madura, kemampuan menulis masih kurang sehingga memerlukan metode pengajaran yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan Instagram untuk memotivasi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, menggabungkan pre-test, post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk analisis yang komprehensif. Persepsi akademisi diukur melalui kuesioner terperinci. Sampelnya adalah 33 ulama asal Pulau Madura. Proses penelitian melibatkan pengamatan ulama, menjelaskan metode berbasis Instagram, melaksanakan penelitian dengan bahan awal dan tambahan, mendorong diskusi, dan menggunakan Instagram untuk memposting karya dan umpan balik. Metode ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dengan memanfaatkan keterlibatan media sosial, membina lingkungan belajar yang kolaboratif, dan memberikan umpan balik yang berkelanjutan dari dosen dan rekan sejawat. Mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pendidikan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja akademik dan kemahiran bahasa para sarjana.

Abstract

Tidak banyak yang diketahui oleh pelaku UMKM tentang cara mengajukan sertifikasi halal, sehingga sulit untuk menerapkan jaminan produk halal di Indonesia. Pelatihan sertifikasi halal adalah fokus dari program PKM ini, yang bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan masalah mitra. Pelatihan sertifikasi halal menunjukkan pentingnya sertifikasi halal bagi konsumen. Logo halal pada kemasan menunjukkan bahwa jajanan ini tidak mengandung bahan yang tidak halal sehingga aman untuk dikonsumsi. Logo halal pada kemasan jajanan khususnya di Kota Sumenep dapat mempengaruhi pembelian impulsif konsumen. Target luaran dari program PKM ini adalah untuk mengedukasi mitra bahwa pentingnya logo halal harus ada di kemasan jajanan khas Sumenep.  Kata Kunci:  Pelatihan Sertifikasi Halal, Meningkatkan Impulsif Buying, UMKM Kota Sumenep
