Abstract

This research discusses the House of Representatives' (DPR) Right to Inquiry against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the context of constitutional law in Indonesia. The right to inquiry is one of the control instruments possessed by the DPR to monitor the performance of state institutions, including the Corruption Eradication Commission. However, the application of the right to inquiry against the Corruption Eradication Committee has given rise to a number of debates regarding its authority and limitations in the constitutional justice system. This research analyzes the constitutional and regulatory basis regarding the DPR's right to inquiry against the KPK, as well as its impact on the independence and effectiveness of the KPK in eradicating corruption. By considering a constitutional law perspective, this research also evaluates the political and legal implications of implementing the right to inquiry against the Corruption Eradication Commission in the context of the system of monitoring and eradicating corruption in Indonesia.

Abstract

In the context that has captured enough public attention is the discourse about presidential candidates both discoursed by political parties (elites / political party structures), potential candidates, and by various pollsters who have thrown so many survey results to the public. The research model is qualitative, where there will be a lot of data raised and various statements and theories. Research is used to examine the natural condition of objek (Sugiyono. 2009). The results of the study found a pattern of electability tendencies owned by the characters. In the sense of the two periodizations, there are differences in electability and ratings obtained by potential presidential candidates. For ranks 1 and 2, it was concluded that the figures who were strong enough electability were Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo. In the middle rank, namely 3, 4, 5 and 6 shows a stagnation where the compilation of survey results both for the January-February period and the March April period places relatively similar figures, namely Anies Baswedan (per. 3), Sandi Uno (per. 4), Ridwan Kamil (per. 5) and Agus H. Yudoyono (per. 6). The name and rank of each figure still do not change when the results of surveys conducted by pollsters are compiled.

Abstract

Padang restaurants are synonymous with providing halal food. Padang Restaurant's rejection of selling pork rendang is a strong background for this research. Padang customs are based on ABS-SBK (Basandi Syara-Syara Basandi Kitabullah Adat). This study aims to describe and analyze the response of the Minang community to a Padang restaurant that sells pork rendang. This research uses mixed methods. Quantitative techniques to collect primary data through questionnaires, and qualitative-descriptive techniques to collect secondary data and its analysis. Secondary data comes from news stories, journals, and scientific research results. Respondents' answers about the identity and opinions of Padang Restaurants that sell non-halal products are arranged in the form of a Likert scale. Respondents were Minang people totaling 75 people. Respondents strongly disagreed that a Padang Restaurant sells pork rendang, even though the Padang Restaurant includes information on the non-halal product. The reason for refusing the sale of rendang using pork, aside from being identical to Minang, which has the ABS-SBK principle, is also due to the use of Minang attributes. The Minang people still hold tightly to their customs which make Islamic teachings part of their values, including in terms of food. The researcher suggests conducting research related to the need for regulation on the inclusion of the Padang Restaurant label which is synonymous with halal food products.

Abstract

This study critically examines access to justice for minors who are victims of rape in the context of the Indonesian criminal justice system, with a special focus on the human rights (HAM) perspective. This study is motivated by the high number of cases of sexual violence against children and the complexity of handling them in the Indonesian legal system. The research problem is how to protect human rights for minors who are victims of rape in the law enforcement system in Indonesia. The research method uses qualitative normative legal research by analyzing legal doctrine and related legislation. The research method used is qualitative normative legal research, namely examining various laws and regulations and related literature to understand legal principles and their implementation in the field. The results of the study show that in terms of legal-normative, the protection of children's human rights is regulated in various national and international laws and regulations. However, there are several challenges in its implementation in the field such as limited understanding of law enforcement officers, facilities, and implementing regulations. For this reason, it is necessary to strengthen socialization, legal frameworks and implementation facilities, and continuous evaluation in order to realize universal protection of children's human rights. This study identifies systemic challenges faced by victims in seeking justice, including child-unfriendly legal procedures, lack of psychosocial support, and persistent social stigma. The main findings of this study indicate a significant gap between international human rights standards on child protection and practice on the ground. This study argues for a comprehensive reform of the Indonesian criminal justice system to better accommodate the needs and rights of child victims, including the provision of specialized legal assistance, increased sensitivity of law enforcement officers, and the development of a justice mechanism that focuses on recovery. This study offers concrete recommendations for system improvement, which are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, legal practitioners, and other stakeholders in efforts to improve access to justice for child rape victims in Indonesia.

It employs a qualitative systematic review method that synthesizes the existing studies related to the topic involving its' procedures and how those procedures bring success to learners. It has six main steps; (1) topic formulation, (2) overall study design, (3) sampling, (4) data collection, (5) data analysis, and (6) data presentation. The findings provide some insights for education developers to design methods and activities for speaking. Moreover, future researchers are suggested to explore rarely discussed areas, including young learners and unpopular technologies related to English teaching.
