Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh modelpembelajaran experiential learning terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan narasisiswa kelas XI SMK Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak Tahun Pembelajaran2012/2013. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI SMK TarbiyahIslamiyah Hamparan Perak tahun pembelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari 4(empat) kelas yang berjumlah 128 orang. Dari populasi tersebut diambil sampelpenelitian sebanyak 64 orang yang dibagi menjadi 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontroldan 32 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah secarasampel bertujuan atau purposive sample.Metode dalam penelitian ini bersifat quasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu),hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangannarasi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori termasuk dalamkategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) yang diperoleh siswa adalah 69,12,sedangkan kemampuan siswa menulis karangan narasi dengan menggunkanmodel pembelajaran experiantial learning termasuk dalam kategori baik dengannilai rata-rata (mean) yang diperoleh siswa adalah 76,7. Selanjutnya pengujianhipotesis menunjukkan thitung (3,27) > ttabel (2,00) pada taraf signifikan á = 0,05.Dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, berarti ada pengaruh modelpembelajaran experiential learning terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan narasisiswa kelas XI SMK Tarbiyah Islamiyah Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013.Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran menulis karangan narasidengan menggunakan model pembelajaran experiential learning lebih baik daripada hasil pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori.Dan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran experientiallearning berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan narasi.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Experiential Learning, KemampuanMenulis, Karangan Narasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the arranging of teaching modul based writing multiple intelligences, (2) the feasibility of teaching modul based writing multiple intelligences, (3) the effectiveness of teaching modul based writing multiple intelligences for students of VII grade at SMP Al-Azhar Medan. Kind of this research is a research and development based on the model of Borg and Gall. Subject trials consist of subject experts, design experts, Indonesian teachers, students of SMP Al-Azhar Medan on individual testing consisted of three students, 9 students in small group trial, and 32 students in the confined field group trials. Data of the quality of product development is collected through questionnaires. The results showed that: (1) validation of the content experts include the feasibility of content with an average of 92,19% in very good criteria, eligibility presentation with an average of 100% in the very well criteria, aspects multiple intelligences with an avarege 96,87%, and aspects of language with an average of 91,66% in the very well criteria, (2) validation of design experts with an average of 84,35% in the very well criteria, (3) individual testing with an average of 85,00% with a very good criteria, (4) the trial of small group with an average of 91,94% with a very good criteria, and (5) a limited field test groups with an average of 94,99% with a very good criteria, (6) the effectiveness of instructional materials with a presentation by 76,75% with good criteria , Thus, the development of module based writing multiple intelligences learning Indonesian that have been developed is proper to use in the learning process as a learning resource.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the acquisition of phonology in a 3-year-old child named Aqila Shafa. The results showed that the acquisition of the phoneme /r/ which turned into /l/ from the data submitted (conversations 1 and 2), and the acquisition of the phoneme /s/ which turned into /c/ from the data submitted (conversations 3 and 4). The process of language acquisition is also influenced by the role of the family as an intermediary for a child's understanding of his first language.

Abstract

               This study aims to determine the effect of using film media on the ability to write descriptive text of class VII SMP Al-Azhar Medan. The population of this study amounted to 103 students of SMP Al-Azhar Medan. Samples were taken randomly, namely the experimental class of 32 students. The method used in this study is an experimental one-group pre-test post-test design method. The instrument used to collect data is an essay test. Hypothesis testing is done by using the "t" test.               From the data obtained, it shows that the students' ability to write descriptive texts before using film media is included in the sufficient category with the average score (mean) obtained by students is 65.87, while the students ability to write descriptive texts after using film media is included in the good category with the average value (mean) obtained by students is 75.90. Furthermore, hypothesis testing shows tcount (3.47) ttable (2.04) at a significant level = 0.05. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of film media on the ability to write descriptive texts for seventh grade students of SMP Al-Azhar Medan.            This shows that the results of learning to write descriptive text after using film media are better than learning outcomes before using film media, and the learning process after using film media has a positive effect on the ability to write descriptive text.

Abstract

Numerous pupils are still unable to convey their thoughts and ideas in order to think more critically about an issue. As a result, individuals require another method of learning for the purpose of enhancing their capabilities. Problem Based Learning is a learning style in which students are required to solve real-world situations. Using a problem-based learning method, this study aims to explain the increasing in students' understanding of fantasy story texts. The study population consisted of 29 students from class VII Bilingual B SMP Al-Azhar Medan. The examination was carried out randomly using a random sampling inspection procedure. This study adopted a quasi-experimental design with one-group pretest and one-group posttest. The pretest is carried out before the problem-based learning model is applied. The results of the pretest will be evaluated as a benchmark for building values and developing arrangements through problem-based learning. The post-test is given after the learning has been completed. The assignment-based written test serves as research instruments. The data was assessed by describing the pre and post test results. The results showed that students achieved an average score of 90.79% in the complete KKM 88 category after using a problem-based learning model with fantasy story text.

Abstract

This research aims to comprehend the meaning contained in the free verse translation of the Acehnese language Quran in Surah Al-Fatihah. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The data is analysed using introspection method because the researcher is a native speaker of Acehnese. Introspection method is a way to obtain data by using the language intuition of someone who learns the original language, to provide the necessary data for analysis according to the research objectives. The results obtained in this study indicate that Surah Al-Fatihah is an opening chapter that holds significant meaning as the preface to the recitation of the entire verses of the Quran. In the process of translating these verses, a deep understanding of the linguistic complexity of the Acehnese language itself is required. The translation of Surah Al-Fatihah into Acehnese adds a cultural and linguistic dimension to the experience of reading the Quran for Acehnese speakers. This allows the speakers to feel more connected to the text on a profound level. With the existence of a free verse translation of the Quran in Acehnese, a path is paved or an opportunity is opened to strengthen the Acehnese language with all its attributes

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the reading literacy skills of junior high school students based on the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA). The participants in this study involved 50 students. The instrument used in the research referred to the types of MCA questions. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, which only describes students' literacy skills in information text material without any specific treatment. The research subjects were selected based on cluster random sampling techniques. The data obtained through the research were analyzed with descriptive statistics by determining the average test scores of students to determine the level of students' literacy skills in information text material based on assessment criteria. The research results showed that the reading literacy skills of junior high school students are still in the low category, which is caused by a lack of experience in solving MCA question types, proficiency in information text, educational level, availability of learning resources, teaching methods, and motivation to learn. The low performance of students in reading skills needs to be a special concern, especially by educational institutions, to adjust the implementation of learning that can improve students' reading skills in information text material.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the sociolinguistic aspects of the system of addressing terms in Acehnese in Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar. This study focuses on the complexity of language and variations in how to greet each other in AL, with an emphasis on social and linguistic aspects. In this study, the complexity referred to is the complexity or variations found in a particular language in an area. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, where the focus of the research is on exploring the social situation that will be studied thoroughly. The population used was native AL speakers, consisting of 15 respondents who lived in Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar Regency. The selected respondents spread across six villages, including Ulee Ue, Mon Alue, Cureh, Groet Baro, Seulangai, and Seuramoe. The respondent selection technique used purposive sampling, with the condition that the informant had intact speech organs, including complete teeth, and had lived in the Indrapuri area for more than ten years. The research instrument used was a questionnaire list of addressing terms that had been formulated. Data was collected through two methods: observation and questionnaire distribution to each respondent. The data is classified based on types and factors. The results of this research show that there are six types of addressing terms, including kinship terms, non-kinship terms, religious terms, occupational terms, pronouns, and proper names. Factors that create variations in addressing terms in AL include politeness, gender, family lineage (noble status), marital status, religion, and social status.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the beauty myth and the female resistance in the movie I Feel Pretty. This research uses gender study which focuses on beauty myth and the female resistance towards the beauty myth. The object material in this study is a chick lit movie, I Feel Pretty. The formal object of this research is gender study that focuses on beauty myth. Data analysis was performed through qualitative descriptive techniques by interpreting the data found in the movie I Feel Pretty and linked to beauty myth theories. Beauty myth has been promoted through the mass media, including the movie I Feel Pretty. However, there are also various forms of resistance performed by the female character to challenge the beauty myth and promote a more inclusive and diverse definition of beauty. This paper tries to highlight some resistances towards beauty myth in this movie, which are being confident, being passionate, and having a good personality. This research eventually finds out that having these traits is a form of resistance against the normalized unreasonable beauty standard.
