Abstract

The reason for choosing this title is to find out how the Role of Bi'ah Lughowiyyah in improving the ability of Maharah Al-Kalam in New students of class 1 MTS, at the same time this research is expected to provide new insights into the environmental conditions in the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Madinah in implementing the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah and knowing what are the obstacles and challenges for new students in implementing the mandatory language regulations in the Islamic Boarding School environment. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, continued with empirical techniques through data reduction, data presentation and data verification and ending with data validity checking techniques. The involvement of this research is to direct it to an environment that aims for students to play an active role in foreign language activities in communicating with all residents at the Islamic Boarding School in daily activities. The results of this study indicate that the results of its implementation at the Islamic Boarding School, the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah towards Maharah Al-Kalam in the first grade students of MTS is quite effective. The implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah is divided into two weeks using Arabic then the next two weeks using English and so on, so that the implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah in the Islamic Boarding School environment becomes more organized. For those who do not use a foreign language in the Islamic Boarding School environment, they will be punished according to their respective criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that Bi'ah Lughowiyah has a very significant role in forming and improving the Maharah Al-Kalam of new students. The implications of this study emphasize that optimization of the language environment in Islamic Boarding Schools must continue to be carried out so that Arabic language learning is more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of social media, particularly Instagram,in disseminating Arabic language knowledge through the @taallum.id account,as well as to analyze the content strategies employed to attract followers’ interestand enhance their understanding of the Arabic language. The study adoptsa qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected throughobservation, audience engagement analysis, interviews using purposive samplingtechniques, and documentation of four main content categories representingkey aspects of Arabic language learning, namely mufrodat (vocabulary), nahwu(grammar), reading skills, and daily expressions. Data analysis was carriedout through the processes of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.The findings reveal that Instagram is utilized as a medium for disseminatingArabic language knowledge through the use of short educational videos withengaging visuals, accompanied by Arabic text and its translation. The mainstrategies employed by the @taallum.id account include the use of thematichashtags, interactive captions, and calls to action that motivate the audience to participate actively. The interviews with participants confirmed that the content was regarded as educational, engaging, and motivating for learning, particularly through a visual and contextual approach. Thus, the account serves as an effectivealternative medium that supports the digital dissemination and learning of theArabic language while demonstrating the integration between language literacyand media literacy in the information technology era

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of animated videos as learning media on the Arabic language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MIN 2 Bandar Lampung, particularly in vocabulary (mufradat) mastery. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 36 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 20-item multiple-choice test validated through expert judgment. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired samples t-test, effect size (Cohen’s d), and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the mean score increased from 61.7 in the pretest to 80.0 in the posttest. The paired samples t-test indicated a significant difference (t = −10.1; p < 0.001). The effect size was large (d = −1.68), while the N-Gain value was moderate (0.439). These findings indicate that animated videos significantly improve students’ Arabic vocabulary learning outcomes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas V MIN 2 Bandar Lampung, khususnya pada aspek penguasaan kosakata (mufradat). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental model one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 36 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal yang divalidasi melalui expert judgment. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, Uji Normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji Paired Samples t-test, perhitungan Effect Size (Cohen’s d), dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 61,7 pada pretest menjadi 80,0 pada posttest. Hasil uji Paired Samples t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan (t = −10,1; p < 0,001). Nilai Effect Size termasuk kategori besar dan nilai N-Gain berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video animasi mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kosakata Bahasa Arab siswa secara signifikan.
