Abstract

Analysis of Mixed Code (Mixing code) and Transfer Code (Code Switching) in Arabic Conversation (Studies in Student of Arabic Education department IAIM NU Metro Lampung). Lecturer Research of Institute of Islamic Studies Ma’arif NU Metro Lampung in 2016. One of the fundamental problems underlying the author's take on this study, because students majoring in Arabic education is a subject which is still new in IAIM in mid April 2016 the first alumni of Arabic education department IAIM had been graduated, IAIM recently graduated 12 students, so the language skills of students are still very limited, besides that the educational background of the student previously also varied so that the level of language skills of the students vary, so it is sometimes difficult to implementt Arabic actively both oral and written. Therefore, the application of the Arabic language in IAIM is very important, so that students are able to use the Arabic language correctly and well to create language environment (Bi'ah Lughowiyah), by formulating the two issues; First, What is the form of code switching and code-mixing that occurs in the process of group discussion among PBA student in IAIM. Second; Are the factors that cause the occurrence of code switching and code-mixing in the process of group discussion on student PBA. The discussion in this study is qualitative. Data collection methods used in this study is "Listen method" refer to the method used in the provision of data by sounding off the usage of language. In the social sciences this method can be compared with the method of observation. Then proceed to consider the techniques involved free conversation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the "Analysis of Mixed Code (Mixing code) and Transfer Code (Code Switching) in Arabic Conversation (the study in Arabic education department at IAIM NU Metro Lampung). The data found associated with symptoms of code switching that occur among students IAIM is divided into three formations, namely: (1) control codes in Arabic to Indonesia, (2) transfer code on Indonesian to Arabic, (3) over code in Arabic to the regional (local). By its nature, the symptoms of code can be classified into two categories namely; over the internal code and external code switching. (1) Transfer of internal code is the code switching that occurs between the regional languages ​​in the national language, such as Javanese and Madurese. (2) Transfer of external code is the code switching that occurs between the original language with a foreign language, for example Indonesian with English. The factors behind the occurrence of code switching and code-mixing among students, namely; (1) the inability of students to understand the Arabic language, (2) To demonstrate academic ability, (3) As a slang/style, (4) Speakers (students) want to attract interlocutor, (5) Lack of mastery of vocabulary Arabic owned student. Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated by the difficulty and weakness of the Ibtidaiyah students' mastery of mufradat in learning Arabic. The formulation of the application "How to apply the mimicry memorization strategies to improve the mastery of Arabic mufradat for third grade students of Islamic Senior High School? The research objective was to see whether the Memorization Mimicry strategy was able to improve the students' mastery of Arabic mufradat in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research uses Classroom Action Research, two cycles, each cycle of two meetings, with stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects of class III MIN 7 Bandar Lampung, according to the understanding of 24 people. Observation data techniques, documentation and tests. The data analysis used was descriptive, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed an increase in students' mastery of mufradat, namely that in the first cycle the average score of the students was 50% and the second cycle increased to 71%. The application that the application of the mimicry memorization strategy can improve the mastery of Arabic mufradat in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students.

Abstract

Analysis ofFilm "Sang Kyai" (Islamic Nationalism Nusantara Perspective Semiotics Roland Barthes).One of the fundamental problems underlying the author's take on this study, becauseas long as it has begun to wear off Indonesia citizen nationalism stance. Such is the case, the tendency of citizens that Indonesia is more loved by the people of the West,dressing style that follows the culture of people of the West,so this leads to a lack of respectcopyright, the initiative of the Indonesian nation.Another unique phenomenon is when a writer tries to analyze many among small children who haven't cultivated an attitude of nationalism or patriotismby their parents this is evident from the songs the children sing a lot of them sing songs welcoming love of the opposite sexeven more deadly many of them don't know the national anthem of the Republic of Indonesia.The author tried to examine this film in the perspective of semiotics Roland Barthes.According to Roland Barthes there are three meanings in the study of semiotics are denotation, connotation and mitos. By formulating a problem formulation is; How can the representation of Islamic Nationalism signs nusantara which is contained in the film "Sang Kyai". This research uses qualitative research using type approach figure KH Hasyim Ash'ari as the driving force of Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) and the founder of the first cottage Tebuireng Jombang. In this study the author uses the analysis of semiotics Roland Barthes, a theory of semiotics examines about signs. The study in this research is the study of linguistic,language is a system of sound arbitrer coat of arms,used by members of a community to work together,interact, and identifyWhile the studies related to the science of signs as well as very useful once semiotik in studies of languagebecause with through signs everything can be interpreted.As for the results of this study indicate that Islamic Nationalism in the movie "Sang Kyai" perspective of semiotics Roland Barthes can be categorized into three are;(1) maintaining the unity and the unity of the country that is described in the corpus of 1, 2 and 3, (2)Cultivating Shura (consultation), which elaborated on the bodies of 4, 5 and 6,(3) the fight for Justice that is described in the corpus 7 and 8.

Abstract

Abstract The edmodo application is a social network in the form of online learning, the edmodo application is a learning platform supported by various advanced features that make the teaching and learning process more effective, efficient, and organized, such as quiz features, files and links, libraries , assignments and others. This application is designed as a tool for teaching and learning activities (KBM) so that students are able to access virtual learning. Edmodo-based e-Learning does not mean replacing conventional learning models in the classroom, but strengthening the model through the use of several features available in the Edmodo application so that the learning process can be presented creatively, and lecturers are able to present interesting learning materials without being limited by space and time. time because learning can be done anywhere and anytime. This research uses a qualitative type of field research (Field Research). Qualitative research method is a research method based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used to examine the condition of natural objects, where the researcher is the key instrument, the sampling of data sources is purposive and snowball, the collection technique is triangulation (combined), the data analysis is inductive /qualitative, and the results of qualitative research emphasize meaning rather than generalizations, by formulating two problem formulations, namely; (1) How is the implementation of virtual class Arabic learning based on the Edmodo application at UIN Raden Intan Lampung? (2) What are the factors that support or hinder the implementation of learning Arabic by using Information Technology Learning Management System (LMS) based on the Edmodo Application at UIN Raden Intan Lampung?Based on the results of the research data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of virtual class Arabic learning based on the Edmodo application at UIN Raden Intan Lampung is carried out in three stages as proposed by George R. Terry, namely: 1) planning, 2) implementation, and 3) evaluation. At the planning stage, the lecturer prepares several series of learning design plans which include; Preparation of RPS (Semester Learning Plan) which contains learning objectives, learning materials, learning methods, learning resources, and evaluation of learning, then testing various learning files through the Edmodo application, virtual classroom arrangement. At the implementation stage of learning carried out two stages, namely; 50% offline and 50% online or commonly referred to as Blended Learning. At the implementation stage of learning by utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) based on the Edmodo application, which researchers have implemented, also utilize various features contained in the Edmodo application such as; Library, Assignment, Polling, Gradebook, Quiz, File and Links, Award Badge, Parent Code. While at the evaluation stage, the lecturer carries out virtual classes by giving quizzes to students so that students are able to understand the lecture material that is programmed well, in addition to the evaluation stage, the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) and Final Semester Examination (UAS) are carried out online with the assistance of the features that exist in the Edmodo application. Overall, the Arabic virtual classroom learning process using Edmodo can change conventional learning to interactive learning. Abstrak Aplikasi edmodo adalah suatu jejaring sosial yang berbentuk pembelajaran secara daring (online), aplikasi edmodo merupakan sebuah serambi pembelajaran yang didukung dengan berbagai fitur canggih yang membuat proses belajar mengajar lebih efektif, efisien, dan terorganisir, seperti misalnya fitur quiz, file and links, library, assignment dan lain-lain. Aplikasi ini didesain sebagai alat bantu bagi kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) sehingga mahasiswa mampu mengakses pembelajaran secara maya. E-Learning berbasis edmodo tidak berarti menggantikan model pembelajaran konvensional di dalam kelas, tetapi yaitu memperkuat model tersebut melalui pemanfaatan beberapa fitur yang tersedia di aplikasi edmodo sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat disajikan secara kreatif, dan dosen mampu menyajikan materi pembelajaran dengan menarik tanpa terbatas oleh ruang dan waktu karena pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dimanapun dan kapanpun.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan (Field Research) yang bersifat kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif adalah metode penelitian yang berlandaskan pada filsafat postpositivisme, digunakan untuk meneliti pada kondisi obyek yang alamiah, dimana peneliti adalah sebagai instrumen kunci, pengambilan sampel sumber data dilakukan secara purposive dan snowball, teknik pengumpulan dengan trianggulasi (gabungan), analisis data bersifat induktif/kualitatif, dan hasil penelitian kualitatif lebih menekankan makna dari pada generalisasi, dengan merumuskan dua rumusan masalah yaitu; (1) Bagaimanakah implementasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab virtual class berbasis aplikasi Edmodo di UIN Raden Intan Lampung ? (2) Faktor apa saja yang mendukung maupun menghambat dalam menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi Learning Managemen System (LMS) berbasis Aplikasi Edmodo di UIN Raden Intan Lampung? Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab virtual class berbasis aplikasi Edmodo di UIN Raden Intan Lampung dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahapan seperti yang dicetuskan oleh George R. Terry yaitu : 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan, dan 3) evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan dosen menyiapkan beberapa serangkaian perencanaan desain pembelajaran yang meliputi; Pengusunan RPS (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester) yang memuat tentang tujuan pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, sumber belajar, dan evaluasi pembelajaran, kemudian dilakukan uji coba berbagai berkas-berkas pembelajaran melalui aplikasi edmodo, penataan kelas maya. Pada tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dua tahapan yaitu; 50% luring (offline) dan 50% daring (online) atau yang biasa disebut dengan Blended Learning. Pada tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis aplikasi edmodo yang telah peneliti laksanakan juga memanfaatkan berbagai macam fitur-fitur yang terdapat dalam aplikasi edmodo seperti; Library (Perpustakaan), Assignment, Polling, Gradebook, Quiz, File and Links, Award Badge, Parent Code. Sedangkan pada tahap evaluasi dosen melaksanakan kelas maya dengan memberikan quiz kepada mahasiswa agar mahasiswa mampu memahami materi perkuliahan yang di programkan dengan baik, selain itu tahap evaluasi juga dilakukannya Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) dan Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS) yang dilakukan secara daring dengan berbantukan fitur- fitur yang ada pada aplikasi edmodo. Secara keseluruhan proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab virtual class dengan menggunakan edmodo ini dapat mengubah pembelajaran konvensional menuju pembelajaran yanginteraktif.

Abstract

Arabic has its origins in the history of writing. This study aims to gather sufficient information about the history of Arabic writing and the influence of writing on the understanding of the writing. This research method is a literature study that collects some previous research to discuss the history of Arabic writing and answer what influence writing has on the understanding of the writing. The results showed that there are many opinions about the origin of the birth of Arabic script. At the time of the Prophet of Allah, the development of writing began in the 2nd year, the Prophet taught writing for prisoners who wanted to be released without having to pay a ransom. Arab society already has its own writing. Although still simple with a classical kufic form that does not have vowel markers and consonant differentiators. And also still do not know sentence markers such as dots, commas, or decorations in writing. So the arrival of the Qur'an made the development of Arabic writing better. Arabic writing is not free from mistakes. Errors in writing greatly affect reading comprehension, because even a single letter can change the meaning of reading. The comprehension of Arabic writing depends on knowledge of Arabic vocabulary and grammar.

Abstract

The fundamental problem underlying this research is the low learning outcomes of students in the Arabic for Professional Purposes course. The purpose of this research is to identify improvements in students' learning outcomes. Based on pre-action data findings, it was observed that students' learning outcomes were low, which was caused by a lack of variation in the use of learning media. This study proposes utilizing interactive learning media supported by the Quizizz application. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) based on the Stephen Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: (a) plan, (b) action, (c) observation, and (d) reflection. The results of this study show an improvement in students' learning outcomes, with the first cycle achieving 51.43%and the second cycle increasing to 88.57%.

Abstract

Work culture refers to a set of deeply internalized attitudes, feelings, and psychological frameworks possessed by members of an organization. Culture encompasses mental behaviors and habits that have become ingrained in individual activities and the performance outcomes of these individuals. Based on the results of data analysis regarding the representation of work culture (corporate culture) post-COVID-19 pandemic in the Graduate School environment of Raden Intan State Islamic University Lampung, five work cultures were implemented, which include: (1) Integrity, (2) Professionalism, (3) Innovation, (4) Responsibility, and (5) Exemplary Behavior. Meanwhile, the results of monitoring and evaluating the work culture post-COVID-19 pandemic for employees in the Graduate School environment of UIN Raden Intan Lampung are; (1) Organization of Administrative Affairs, (2) Organization of the human resource management system (HR) which includes; (a) Employee needs planning, (b) Competency-based employee development, (c) Individual performance determination, (d) Enforcement of discipline/code of ethics for employees. (3) Strengthening performance accountability, (4) Improving the quality of public services, (5) Enhancing the employee information system.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the Arabic learning outcomes of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students, with a focus on cognitive aspects, particularly in mastering mufradat (vocabulary) and qawa’id (grammar). The background of this study lies in the low student learning outcomes in Arabic, which are often limited to memorization without deep understanding. A gap exists between the ideal expectations of the Arabic curriculum—where students are expected to master all four language skills—and the actual conditions, where cognitive achievements remain low. The research method employed is classroom action research, conducted in two cycles that include planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results show that the implementation of the PjBL model can significantly improve student engagement, understanding, and cognitive outcomes in Arabic, particularly in vocabulary and grammar mastery. Through active involvement in contextual projects, students become more motivated and show better retention of the material. The study concludes that the PjBL model is effective and innovative in enhancing the quality of Arabic learning at the primary education level and can serve as an alternative solution for teachers to optimize the implementation of the Arabic curriculum. ABSTRAK Permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa, khususnya pada aspek kognitif seperti penguasaan mufradat (kosakata) dan qawa’id (tata bahasa), menjadi tantangan utama dalam proses pembelajaran di tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Kondisi ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan dengan kenyataan di lapangan, di mana siswa belum mampu memahami materi secara mendalam dan menerapkannya dalam konteks yang bermakna. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan model Project Based Learning (PJBL) sebagai solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, mengkaji berbagai jurnal ilmiah yang terbit sejak tahun 2015 untuk menggali efektivitas PJBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tahapan penting dalam penelitian ini meliputi identifikasi permasalahan, telaah literatur, sintesis temuan, dan penyusunan simpulan berbasis teori dan praktik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PJBL mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, serta meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Dalam konteks pembelajaran Bahasa Arab, model ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman mufradat dan qawa’id melalui kegiatan proyek yang kontekstual dan kolaboratif. Simpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan PJBL secara terencana dan sistematis dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di MI, khususnya dalam aspek kognitif, sekaligus membangun keterampilan abad ke-21 pada siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Speaking skill (maharah kalam) is an important aspect of Arabic language learning that often poses a challenge for madrasah students. This study aims to improve the maharah kalam of eighth-grade students at MTs Miftahul Huda Kotabumi, North Lampung, through the use of the Duolingo application as a digital learning medium. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of three meetings. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and formative tests (pre-test and post-test). The results showed that the use of Duolingo had a positive impact on improving students’ speaking skills. In the pre-cycle stage, only 24% of students achieved the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM), which increased to 60% in the first cycle, and reached 80% in the second cycle. This application proved effective in encouraging students to be more confident, active, and motivated in practicing Arabic speaking skills, particularly through its gamification features and voice recognition. The conclusion of This study indicates that the use of technology-based applications like Duolingo is effective in enhancing maharah kalam and is suitable to be used as an alternative medium for teaching Arabic in madrasahs. ABSTRAK Kemampuan berbicara (maharah kalam) merupakan aspek penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang sering kali menjadi tantangan bagi siswa madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan maharah kalam siswa kelas VIII MTs Miftahul Huda Kotabumi, Lampung Utara, melalui penggunaan aplikasi Duolingo sebagai media pembelajaran digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes formatif (pre-test dan post-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Duolingo memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Pada tahap pra-siklus, hanya 24% siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), meningkat menjadi 60% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 80% pada siklus II. Aplikasi ini terbukti mampu mendorong siswa untuk lebih percaya diri, aktif, dan termotivasi dalam berlatih berbicara bahasa Arab, terutama melalui fitur gamifikasi dan pengenalan suara. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi berbasis teknologi seperti Duolingo efektif dalam meningkatkan maharah kalam dan layak digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran bahasa Arab di madrasah.

Abstract

The reason for choosing this title is to find out how the Role of Bi'ah Lughowiyyah in improving the ability of Maharah Al-Kalam in New students of class 1 MTS, at the same time this research is expected to provide new insights into the environmental conditions in the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Madinah in implementing the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah and knowing what are the obstacles and challenges for new students in implementing the mandatory language regulations in the Islamic Boarding School environment. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, continued with empirical techniques through data reduction, data presentation and data verification and ending with data validity checking techniques. The involvement of this research is to direct it to an environment that aims for students to play an active role in foreign language activities in communicating with all residents at the Islamic Boarding School in daily activities. The results of this study indicate that the results of its implementation at the Islamic Boarding School, the role of Bi'ah Lughowiyah towards Maharah Al-Kalam in the first grade students of MTS is quite effective. The implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah is divided into two weeks using Arabic then the next two weeks using English and so on, so that the implementation of Bi'ah Lughowiyah in the Islamic Boarding School environment becomes more organized. For those who do not use a foreign language in the Islamic Boarding School environment, they will be punished according to their respective criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that Bi'ah Lughowiyah has a very significant role in forming and improving the Maharah Al-Kalam of new students. The implications of this study emphasize that optimization of the language environment in Islamic Boarding Schools must continue to be carried out so that Arabic language learning is more effective and sustainable.
