Abstract

Schools, as a formal education institution, are activities that are conscious, regular and planned to achieve certain goals. The role of school in building cultural awareness is highly expected. One way to achieve this is by developing continues and consistent art curriculum. Art is the expression of cultural processes. There are two types of cultural expression: progressive cultural expressions that are potential to advance science and technology and reflective cultural expressions that are potential to develop moral and religion value.

Abstract

One of the rumours that ought to receive attention of the Indonesian nation now is education have a national perception that is felt very much important if paying close attention to the development of the situation that is influenced with the disintegration threat of the nation. Education that has a national perception could diimplementasikan through the curriculum and heterogenous the other educational activity. With education that has a national perception, apparently the value and spirit of pluralism continue to experience the process of internalisation in each generation in areas so as to show the tolerant attitude, to appreciate each other and to act in a humanitarian way in the Indonesian Unitary State frame

Abstract

Tingginya mobilitas mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan sumbersumberbelajar, seperti mengunjungi perpustakaan, mengikutidiskusi dalam forum akademik, dan rajin mengakses informasipengetahuan dalam jaringan media on line merupakan penunjangkualitas kegiatan pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian iniingin mengetahui bagaimana mobilitas mahasiswa dalam mencarisumber-sumber belajar dalam upaya meningkatkan pengembangan. kualitas akademiknya. Juga ingin mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor.. ~a yang ber~ubungan ~~nga~ ~obilitas mahasiswa dalam .mencar~· · .sumber belaJar. Peneht1an m1 menggunakan metodolog1 surva1: ) dalam usaha mencari, mengungkap, dan memberikan penjelasanterhadap isu di seputar pemanfaatan sumber belajar. Populasidalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Teknologi Pendidikan· FIP UNY sejumlah 200 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel sejumlahJ 00 orang dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data yangdigunakan adalah statistik deskripif sede:: ana yang diperkuatdengan teknik deskriptifkualitatif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1 ingkat mobilitasmahasiswa Prodi Teknologi Pendidikan dalam mencari sumberbelajar berada dalam kategori sedang dan cenderung rendah.Kunjungan ke perpustakaan cenderung hanya memanfaatkanperpustakaan di seputar kampus, kepemilikait buku masuk dalamkategori rendah, sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki buku dibawah 20 eksemplar dan belanja untuk pengadaan buku sebagianbesar di bawah Rp 25.000. Sementara itu frekuensi kunjungan kejaringan situs internet belum begitu tinggi, dan terdapatkecenderungan lebih terdorong oleh motif i'ekreatif daripada. motifedukatif. Rendahnya mobilitas mahasiswa tersebut terutamadipengaruhi oleh masih kurang memadainya kualitas perencanaanmengajar dosen dan minimnya fasilitas belajar mahasiswa.Sedangkan tingginya status sosial ekonomi mahasiswa tidakberhubungan secara cukup signifikan dengan tingginya mobilitasmahasiswa dalam mencari sumber belajar.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan faktor penting dahlm mobilitas sosialseseorang. Pendidikan. sebagai sebuah kebijakan formal sudahberulang kali mengalami eksperimentasi sejak era kemerdekaansampai saat ini. Namun demikian pendidikan justru banyak dinilaigagal mengantarkan bangsa ini sebagai bangsa yang sejajar dengan I ..negara maju. Bahkan untuk sekedar dibandingkan dengan negaranegaradi kawasan asia tenggara. ·Pendidikan bahkanmengahadirkan p!rsoalan baru yang jauh lebih rumit dankompleks. Beberapa hal yang mendasari kegagalan · daripendidikan kita diantaranya bahwa model pendidikan kita yangahistoris, anti realitas, dan tidak berorientasi pada karakter intisebagai potensi bangsa yang paling diunggulkan. Basis sosiokultural masyakat kita adalah masyarakat agraris dan maritim.Untuk itu, pendidikan seharusnya diorientasikan untuk dapatmemberdayakan dua potensi dasar ini. Disinilah peran · pentingTeknologi Pendidikan diperlukan. Desain pendidikan secarakomperhensif dari SD sampai perguruan tinggi nampaknya lebihdiperlukan dari sekedar membuka sekolah-sekolah kejuruanpe~ian atau kelautan sebagaimana telah menjadi kebijakan yangtelah lalu. Sec~ra konkret, Ilmu pendidikan mesti terlibat dalampenyusunan kurikulum pada kelompok agronomi, teknik; ekonomi,dan juga ilmu-ilmu social yang didesain berbasis pada agraris dankelautan. Kelompok disiplin agro/maritim. mesti mampumenghasi!kan lulusan yang produksi pertanian/kelautan,pengolahan basil pertanian/kelautan dan agro industri. Disiplinilmu teknik mesti mampu mencetak lulusan yang terampil dalammendesain mesin-mesin pertanian dan perkapalan. Disiplin ilmuekonomi mengembangkan kompetensi jaringan pemasaran sectorpertanian dan disiplin llmu social harus mampu mengembangkanlembaga-lembaga social tradisional pertanian dan kelauatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan kontribusi ketahanan dan ketidaktahanan belajar kelompok siswa SMA Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang mengacu pada penelitian etnografi di sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi terlibat, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dibuat ke dalam transkrip, pengkodean, serta pemunculan tema. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan konsep dinamika kelompok dan belajar kooperatif. Hasil penelitian ini mengidentifikasi adanya dua kondisi belajar kelompok, dimana minoritas kelompok siswa menunjukkan ketahanan sedangkan mayoritas menunjukkan ketidaktahanan. Ketahanan belajar kelompok dapat tercipta karena adanya kesadaran kolektif, saling percaya, saling bekerja sama, dan tanggung jawab antar anggota. Ketidaktahanan belajar kelompok dapat tercipta karena adanya egosentrisme, sekadar formalitas, saling bersaing, dan pragmatisme belajar. Semakin cepat terjadinya transformasi dari faktor yang melemahkan kelompok kepada kepentingan kelompok, semakin lama ketahanan belajar kelompok, dan begitu sebaliknya.Kata kunci: etnografi, dinamika kelompok, ketahanan, ketidaktahanan, belajar kelompok ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY OF EDUCATION AT SMA NEGERI 6 YOGYAKARTA: THE DURABILITY AND NOT DURABILITY OF STUDY GROUPSAbstractThis article concerns a research aimed at revealing durability of study group contributions and contribution of the not durability of study groups at SMA Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. This study was qualitative research referring to the ethnography in school. The data were collected through participant observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The collected data were interpreted into transcript, coded, and thematized. The data were analyzed by using the concepts of group dynamics and cooperative learning. The results of the study identified two conditions of study groups that minority groups of students showed durable while the majority showed not durable. The durability of study groups could be created because there are a collective awareness, mutual trust, mutual cooperation and responsibility among the members. The not durability of study groups could be created because there are students’ egocentrism, formality, competing and pragmatism in learning. The faster the transformation from the factors that weaken the group to the benefit of the group, the longer durability study groups, and vice versaKeywords: ethnography, group dynamics, durability, not durability, study groups

Abstract

This development research was aimed to produce multicultural education-based Pop-Up storybooks for early childhood students. This development research referred to the development design procedures developed by Thiagarajan et al. The development design was grouped into four development procedures, which include: (a) define, (b) design, (c) develop, and (d) disseminate. The product trial was carried out through 2 stages: the limited trial done with only 6 students of Grade B in TK Vanda Perta Rini Kalasan and the main trial done with 22 students of Grade B in TK Vanda Perta Rini Kalasan. The results of the product feasibility assessment score through product validation from media expert were 3.8 (very feasible) and from material expert were 4 (very feasible). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the pop-up book is effective to be used for introducing the understanding of multicultural education for early childhood students.

Abstract

Since its independence, the Republic of Indonesia has been a democratic and unitary state. However, democracy has had its ups and downs and been influenced by the characteristics of the leaders from the era of President Soekarno, New Order, to the reform era. This study employed the reflective method to analyse the political phenomena of contemporary Indonesia, based on empirical facts and academic information. This study discusses the issue of democracy. Instead of the role of the middle class or global political constellation, it focuses on the failure of the political process to shape the public, a prerequisite for implementing democracy. This research reveals that three strategic social institutions in the dynamics of contemporary Indonesian politics, namely religion, bureaucracy, and educational institutions also fail to shape the public. It leads to formal, procedural, and less substantive democracy in Indonesia. Therefore, the people need a democracy literacy movement through various strategic social and political institutions.

Abstract

This article examines the reception of Islamic broadcasts within the Javanese Muslim community of Wukirsari Village, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Drawing on Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory, the study seeks to understand how Islamic broadcasts are received and interpreted by individuals with a more flexible understanding of religion (abangan). The encoding process is carried out by media producers who convey Islamic messages through various programs, such as religious lectures and films. The decoding process within the Wukirsari community results in a range of interpretations of the encoded message, which align with the ideological positions of individuals, namely dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, or oppositional stances. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining the reception theory proposed by Stuart Hall (1980) and the phenomenological approach articulated by Chris Barker (2000), to explore how the Javanese Muslim community in Wukirsari Village interprets and interacts with religious television content. Through in-depth interviews and observations, the findings reveal that most individuals decode Islamic messages from a negotiated position, adapting the message to a more practical and contextually relevant understanding of religion.In conclusion, Islamic broadcasts play a crucial role in shaping the expression of collective religiosity. However, variations in the way the message is received and interpreted are evident, influenced by the social and cultural backgrounds of the audience
