Abstract

Bangladesh is one of the developing countries in South Asia that succed to implement industrialization policy to attract foreign direct investment in there. Political factors in Bangladesh have a very important role in determining neoliberal policies to support the economic development process. Neoliberalism policy here does not mean that the state does not support the economy. Market relations and market shifts require a state, or an agency related to the state, to discuss and protect private property and enforce contracts that are important features of market transition. In this case, the support of the Bangladeshi government in supporting the entry of investors is done by asking for such economic liberalization, privatization of state-owned entreprise, providing incentives to foreign investors and supporting with skilled labor and low wages. To accelerate the neoliberal policy agenda, the government of Bangladesh then undertook a integration process of national economic with the global economy, strengthened the role of the Bangladesh government in supporting neoliberalism policy, providing facilities for the movement of capital and labor and strengthened the corporate sector in industrialization policies in Bangladesh.

Abstract

Abstract The international economy certainly cannot be separated from the United States economy. The United States of America is the country with the largest economy in the world. Within the framework of Neoliberalism, the economy cannot be separated from state intervention. The state can carry out various policies with the aim of achieving the national interest and profit as much as possible. This paper is intended to obtain the United States' efforts to build Coca Colonization from the point of view of the economic paradigm of capitalism and neoliberalism. Coca-Cola itself is a drink that comes from America where it has been around since 1886 and is the number one coke in the world. The existence of Coca-Cola itself already existed during the World War period, where Coca-Cola came along with the presence of United States troops and there were 60 Coca-Cola bottling factories around the world which were started when there was an American military operation. Coca-Cola is considered an American culture and an unofficial ambassador for the American lifestyle itself. Using literature studies through various news, documentation, scientific journals, this research resulted in the United States' efforts including building nation branding. This nation branding is very strong so that local products are difficult to escape from the influence of product colonization instilled by the United States globally. Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia's 22.5 million hectares of peat forest, which is capable of storing 30% of the world's carbon dioxide, has attracted Norway to provide international assistance in implementing the REDD+ scheme. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods to analyze Norway's international aid based on the concept of international aid and the effectiveness of international aid in the failure of peat forest restoration in Indonesia. Four Norwegian aid funding mechanisms through NICFI failed to reduce carbon emissions by 41%, following the provisions of the Letter of Intent (LoI) on REDD+ agreed upon by Indonesia and Norway in 2009. The reason is that Norway's national interests are mixed with international aid provided, so that is Self-Interest following the dimensions of international assistance. This also makes the effectiveness of international assistance insignificant even though it is following the five principles of the Paris Declaration on Aids Effectiveness. Abstract

Southeast Asia's geographical conditions are an area that has a marine ecosystem most diverse in the world. However, there is an increase in the exploitation and practice of Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported (IUU) fishing which is considered troubling and detrimental to the affected region. This study attempts to analyze the regimes' complexity in illegal fishing in Southeast Asia. The research method used a qualitative approach. Primary data we collect documents and official statements issued by the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission, ASEAN-SEAFDEC organization, FAO, and policy of ASEAN countries through the ministry of maritime and fisheries.  Analysis of the complexity of the three main regimes in IUU complemented by a discussion of these regimes' agendas and similarity policies (overlapping regimes). In dealing with this, countries in the Southeast Asian region are implementing a strategy to keep up with agreed international norms. It has found that 60% of ASEAN member countries adopt the Regional Plan of Action (RPOA). They were shifting the existence of profit-oriented thinking into sustainability-oriented. The regime's complexity illustrates the tumult of an international issue and the whip to increase the country's contribution to the sustainability of a more balanced life by internalizing the international regime's norms.
