Abstract

Research and development of small and medium enterprises based on local wisdom in supporting the regional economy after the COVID-19 pandemic (a case study of the Sambas district) aims to determine the appropriate strategy to be implemented to empower local SMEs in the Sambas area, which is divided into three fields, namely weaving, rattan, and pandanus. The number of samples for each field is 27 for weaving, 32 for rattan, and 4 for pandanus. Meanwhile, the analysis used in this research is through the analysis of Force Field Analysis (FFA) and Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT). Based on the FFA analysis, it was found that the main driving factors were the selling price of the product, the price of raw materials, and advances in information technology, while the critical inhibiting factors were online marketing, total turnover, and business management. Based on the SWOT analysis through the EFAS and IFAS matrices, there are similarities in strategy taking: product innovation and differentiation, product sales via online or e-commerce, product quality and product quality improvement, and social campaigns to promote traditional values to encourage sales. Keywords: SMEs Based on Local Wisdom, Weaving, Pandan, Rattan, Development Abstrak Pengembangan UMKM berbasis kearifan lokal dalam mendukung perekonomian daerah pasca pandemi covid-19 (studi kasus kabupaten sambas) bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang sesuai untuk diimplementasikan demi memberdayakan UKM lokal daerah sambas yang dibagi menjadi tiga bidang yaitu tenun, rotan, dan pandan. Jumlah sampel untuk masing-masing bidang adalah adalah 27 untuk bidang tenun, 32 untuk bidang rotan, dan 4 untuk bidang pandan. Abstract

This study investigates the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and information system quality (ICT) on the mental health of Generation Z employees in West Kalimantan, with a specific focus on technostress as a mediating factor. The research uses an explanatory quantitative approach, employing a partial least squares-based structural equation model (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4 software. The sample consists of 200 Generation Z employees, selected through purposive sampling based on age (18-27 years) and experience using AI and ICT for at least one year. The study reveals that AI positively and significantly affects employee mental health, while ICT has a negative and insignificant impact on employee mental health. Furthermore, technostress positively and significantly mediates the relationship between AI, ICT, and mental health. This research provides evidence that the effective use of AI and ICT, combined with proper technostress management, can enhance employee well-being and productivity, fostering innovation and efficiency in West Kalimantan’s workforce, ultimately positioning the region to leverage Generation Z’s digital skills to drive economic growth and attract investment in emerging tech sectors.

Abstract

This study examines the development of research on cross-border public procurement or border procurement through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with bibliometric analysis. The study aims to identify publication trends, dominant research themes, key variables, and future research opportunities related to border procurement. Data were collected from the Scopus database using the PRISMA framework, resulting in 39 selected articles published up to May 2026. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map publication trends, country distribution, institutional contributions, author productivity, and keyword co-occurrence networks. The findings reveal that research on border procurement remains relatively limited and is predominantly concentrated in developed countries, particularly within the European context. The literature mainly focuses on themes such as regulation and governance, digital procurement and transparency, regional market integration, sustainability, healthcare procurement, and barriers to cross-border procurement implementation. Several dominant variables identified in the literature include digital procurement, transparency, regulation, market integration, administrative barriers, sustainability, and competitive procedures. The study also highlights significant research gaps related to border procurement in developing countries and border regions outside Europe, particularly in ASEAN contexts. The integration of SLR and bibliometric analysis contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of border procurement research. Practically, the findings provide insights for policymakers and practitioners in improving procurement governance, regulatory harmonization, digital transformation, and cross-border cooperation. The study recommends future research to explore procurement governance, digital readiness, and institutional challenges in developing-country border regions.

Abstract

This article aims to develop a systematic quantitative synthesis regarding the framework of potential and career architecture of Indonesian border apparatus and its relationship with service performance. The background of this study is the limited number of studies that directly connect apparatus potential, talent management, career design, and service performance in border areas, even though these regions have geographical, social, security, and service complexities that differ from non-border areas. The method used in this study is a systematic quantitative literature review guided by PRISMA 2020. The literature was selected from the 2016-2026 period through the Scopus, Google Scholar, Garuda, SINTA, DOAJ databases, and open-access journal portals, with priority given to quantitative studies on competence, talent, merit systems, career development, and civil servant performance, as well as contextual studies on Indonesian border governance. A total of 15 research articles were selected for extraction, consisting of 6 core quantitative studies, 3 supporting studies on career architecture and competence, and 6 contextual studies on border areas. The synthesis shows that competence, talent management, merit systems, work discipline, servant leadership, and bureaucratic reform tend to have a positive relationship with apparatus performance. In the border context, this relationship needs to be mediated through a career architecture that integrates potential assessment, talent pools, competency development, rotation, promotion, and placement based on regional needs. This article produces a conceptual model that can be empirically tested through SEM/PLS-SEM on civil servants working in Indonesian border areas.
