Abstract

Examining recorded lectures’ effectiveness to teach grammar in the context of flipped classroom model has not been widely research. Furthermore, this type of teaching has not been frequently used in the research area which applies English for Specific Purpose (ESP) materials that require special treatment in teaching grammar. This study, therefore, aims to uncover the unknown research findings by implementing quasi experimental research by involving two classes in Mechanical Engineering department. Both classes were given pre-test before treatment to ensure the similarity of initial grammar skills and post-test after treatment to know the impact of recorded lectures in flipped classroom model for students in experimental group. Data gained through independent t-test from SPSS indicated that there was a significant impact of the treatment on students’ mastery in grammar proven by the significant value of 0.05 (above 0.05) As this type of teaching has been proven to be effective for teaching grammar especially in the context of ESP, lecturers who teach in the same setting are suggested implement recoded lecturers.

Abstract

Promoting interactive and engaging learning remains a major challenge, particularly in the design and development of instructional media that can serve as a virtual instructor for accounting students. To address this challenge, the present study introduces the development of a virtual teaching assistant specifically designed for accounting courses, with a focus on the inventory topic. The virtual assistant delivers guided instruction in audio format by utilizing Google’s text-to-speech technology, aiming to enhance students’ comprehension and engagement during learning activities and assessments. The integration of text-to-speech into inventory learning media represents the novelty of this research. Accordingly, the system named Interactive Learning Media of Inventory (ILMI) was developed through a structured process consisting of needs analysis, system design, implementation, user testing, and maintenance. Finally, the system was evaluated and achieved a SUS score of 79, indicating a high level of usability based on respondent feedback.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini merupakan kegiatan yang memberikan inovasi pembelajaran bahasa inggris yakni dengan cara memberikan smart grammatica app untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di mosaic kampung inggris pare. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan dan memberikan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan, pemanfaatan dan penerapan aplikasi smart grammatica sebagai media belajar yang efektif, fantastik dan inovatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris khususnya English grammar di Mosaic Kampung Inggris Pare. Khalayak sasaran adalah para tutor bahasa Inggris Mosaic Kampung Inggris Pare. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan dan pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap yakni pendahuluan, sosialisasi dan audiensi, dan evaluasi serta motivasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, pertama adalah tahap pengenalan aplikasi smart grammatica. Tahap selanjutnya adalah tahap penjelasan dan praktek dalam penggunaan dan pemanfaatan smart grammatica app dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran English grammar. Tahap terakhir adalah evaluasi dan motivasi. Hasil dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah para tutor Bahasa Inggris di Mosaic Kampung Inggris Pare dapat memanfaatkan, menggunakan dan menerapkan smart grammatica app sebagai media pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang efektif, fantastik dan inovatif dalam pembelajaran English grammar. Selain itu, Media aplikasi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai motivasi dan sangat digemari oleh learners yang sedang belajar English grammar di Mosaic Kampung Inggris Pare.

Abstract

Sektor pariwisata memegang peranan krusial dalam menggerakkan perekonomian perdesaan. BUMDES Kerkep Mandiri selaku pengelola Wisata Air Sumber Sirah di Kabupaten Kediri menghadapi kendala penurunan jumlah pengunjung sebesar 25% pada tahun 2024 akibat ketatnya persaingan pariwisata alam dan minimnya diferensiasi produk. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan strategi diversifikasi produk dan pemasaran pariwisata melalui optimalisasi lahan pasif menjadi wahana spot foto sebagai instrumen promosi visual. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menerapkan pendekatan pemberdayaan partisipatif (Participatory Community Development) yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan sistematis: persiapan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pelaksanaan pembangunan infrastruktur komplementer berbasis transfer teknologi, serta evaluasi dampak (before-after analysis). Hasil intervensi menunjukkan keberhasilan pengadaan wahana spot foto terintegrasi yang berfungsi ganda sebagai fasilitas rekreasi dan pemicu promosi digital. Secara kuantitatif, evaluasi komparatif mencatat dampak positif berupa lonjakan volume kunjungan wisatawan rata-rata sebesar 81,43%, yaitu dari rata-rata 350 pengunjung menjadi 635 pengunjung per bulan. Selain itu, tingkat kepuasan pengelola BUMDES (skor 4,75 dari 5,00) dan kepuasan pengunjung (skor 4,47 dari 5,00) membuktikan efektivitas program secara menyeluruh. Implikasi kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa strategi inovasi fasilitas visual ramah lingkungan mampu memicu promosi organik secara masif dan meningkatkan keberdayaan ekonomi kelembagaan desa.   Abstract  The tourism sector plays a crucial role in driving rural economies. BUMDES Kerkep Mandiri, as the manager of Sumber Sirah Water Tourism in Kediri Regency, faced a 25% decline in visitor numbers in 2024 due to intense competition in nature-based tourism and a lack of product differentiation. This community service activity aims to implement product diversification and tourism marketing strategies by optimizing passive land into a photo spot destination that serves as a visual promotion instrument. The method applied a participatory community development approach consisting of three systematic stages: preparation through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), implementation of complementary infrastructure construction based on technology transfer, and impact evaluation (before-after analysis). The intervention results demonstrated the successful provision of an integrated photo spot that serves a dual purpose as a recreational facility and a digital promotion trigger. Quantitatively, the comparative evaluation recorded a positive impact with an 81.43% surge in tourist volume, increasing from an average of 350 to 635 visitors per month. Furthermore, high satisfaction index scores from both the BUMDES management (4.75 out of 5.00) and visitors (4.47 out of 5.00) confirm the comprehensive effectiveness of the program. The implication of this activity underscores that eco-friendly visual facility innovation strategies can effectively trigger massive organic promotion and enhance the economic empowerment of village institutions.

Abstract

Urgensi dan identifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra pada Mitra Usaha Produksi Krupuk Pasir di Dusun Jeruk Desa Tugurejo Kecamatan Ngasem Kabupaten Kediri, adalah belum terdaftarnya legalitas usaha yaitu Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB). Mitra masih menggunakan legalitas SIUP yang saat ini sudah tidak digunakan.Tujuan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah dalam upaya mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi mitra. Berdasarkan permasalahan prioritas yang harus ditangani maka beberapa solusi yang ditawarkan kepada mitra adalah memberikan pelatihan legalitas yang terdaftar di aplikasi Online Single Submission (OSS) dalam pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB). Metode pelaksanaan dalam program pengabdian ini adalah pada tahap pertama menganalisis kondisi mitra, tahap kedua merupakan tahap persiapan dengan menyiapkan persyaratan legalitas usaha, tahap ketiga merupakan tahap pelatihan dan pendampingan legalitas usaha, kemudian di tahap terakhir melakukan evaluasi pada kegiatan yang telak terlaksana. Mitra yang berkontribusi dalam program pengabdian ini sebanyak 10 orang yang terdiri dari pemilik dan karyawan dari mitra usaha. Hasil pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mitra mendapat sertifikat NIB sebagai bukti agar para pelaku usaha memiliki kepastian hukum dan memungkinkan memperoleh dukungan investor serta pinjaman dana kepada bank untuk pengembangan bisnis. NIB ini akan di letak kan bersamaan dengan merk dagang mitra. Indikator keberhasilan pada program pengabdian ini adalah  pelaku  usaha  dapat menerapkan manajemen usaha yang baik dengan adanya peningkatan pemberdayaan dan daya saing mitra yang ditunjukkan pada peningkatan legalitas usaha pada mitra usaha produksi krupuk pasir di Kabupaten Kediri   Abstract  The pressing issue identified by the partners in the Sand Cracker Production Partnership located in Dusun Jeruk, Tugurejo Village, Ngasem District, Kediri Regency, is the lack of registered business legitimacy, specifically the absence of a Business Identification Number (NIB). The partners are still using the outdated SIUP registration system. The purpose of this Community Service Program is to address these challenges. Based on the priority issues identified, several solutions have been proposed: providing training on obtaining a registered business number through the Online Single Submission (OSS) platform. The program's implementation involves three phases: first, analyzing the partners' current situation; second, preparing the necessary business legitimacy requirements; third, delivering business legitimacy training and guidance; and finally, evaluating the completed activities. A total of 10 partners contributed to this community service program, comprising owners and employees of the partnership enterprises. The outcome of this initiative was the issuance of NIB certificates to the partners as proof of their legal status, enabling them to secure investor support and bank loans for business expansion. These NIB certificates will be displayed alongside the partners' trademarks. The success indicator of the program is the implementation of effective business management practices, demonstrated through enhanced empowerment and competitiveness among the partners, as evidenced by improved legal compliance in the sand cracker production enterprises within Kediri Regency.

Abstract

Although the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education is increasingly developing, research that simultaneously examines student perceptions, classroom practices, and lecturer readiness in the ESP context in developing countries remains limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of AI integration on ESP learning effectiveness, identify implementation challenges, and evaluate lecturers’ pedagogical and ethical readiness. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-method design, this study involved 57 non-English major students in the quantitative phase, followed by interviews with 6 ESP lecturers and learning observations. The results show a strong and significant positive correlation between perceptions of AI use and ESP learning effectiveness (r = 0.712; p < 0.01). AI has the most impact on reading comprehension (M = 4.00) and ease of access to materials (M = 3.98). Qualitative findings identified four main themes: low critical digital literacy among students, minimal ethical awareness, suboptimal pedagogical readiness of lecturers, and limitations in institutional policies and infrastructure. These findings confirm the importance of institutional AI policies, ethics-based lecturer training, and strengthening digital literacy to support effective and responsible AI integration in ESP learning.
