Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of academic advisors in the development of student human resource (HR) competencies at the Muhammadiyah Institute of Technology, Sumatra. Academic advisors play a key role in supporting students' academic and career development, yet this role is often overlooked in the context of professional competency development. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with academic advisors, students, and other relevant stakeholders at the institute. The findings reveal that academic advisors not only provide academic guidance but also mentor students in developing non-academic skills, such as communication, time management, and other professional skills. Academic advisors also play a role in connecting students with internship opportunities and professional networks, contributing to their job readiness. However, this study also identifies several challenges, including a lack of training for academic advisors and heavy workloads. The study recommends the need for specialized training for academic advisors and the enhancement of support mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of their role in developing student HR competencies. The results of this research are expected to provide insights for higher education institutions to improve academic advising programs and more effectively support student competency development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing green economy principles on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Musi Rawas Regency and examine its implications for business growth. Green economy emphasizes resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental sustainability without ignoring economic growth. The method used in this study is a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of several MSME actors who have implemented environmentally friendly practices. The results of the study indicate that some MSMEs that adopt green economy principles, such as the use of environmentally friendly raw materials and good waste management, experience an increase in business image, customer loyalty, and cost efficiency in the long term. However, limited access to information, technology, and financing are major challenges in implementing a green economy widely. The implications of these findings indicate that with the support of appropriate policies and ongoing training, the green economy can be a significant driver of MSME business growth in the region. Therefore, synergy between the government, business actors, and financial institutions is needed to strengthen the green MSME ecosystem in Musi Rawas Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research development trends on green marketing and consumer behavior towards sustainable products in the 2020-2024 period. Using bibliometric methods, this study evaluates the number of publications, citation trends, author collaboration patterns, and thematic relevance through keyword co-occurrence analysis of indexed scientific literature. The results show an increase in the number of publications each year, although the citation impact tends to be greater in early publications during the study period. Citation analysis identifies influential articles that highlight key factors in consumers' green purchasing behavior. Mapping author collaborations reveals a solid network among researchers, while keyword co-occurrence analysis identifies three main clusters focusing on the basic concepts of green marketing and sustainable consumption, green product marketing strategies, and methodological studies. The conclusions of this study underscore the importance of a deep understanding of consumer behavior in designing effective green marketing strategies and the need for further research to broaden insights in this field.
