Abstract

The prevalence of unvalidated learning tools highlights a critical issue stemming from inefficient manual validation processes. This research addresses this by developing a valid, practical, and effective validation system (SVeR) for learning tools, integrated with an open journal system. Employing the Waterfall development model, the study involved 2 expert validators and 16 lecturers to assess the system's practicality and effectiveness. Data analysis utilized Aiken's V for validity, percentage techniques for practicality, and the kappa moment test for effectiveness. Results indicate SVeR possesses very high validity, with a content validity coefficient of 0.804. Practicality was also very high at 94.31% (convenient category), and effectiveness reached a kappa moment of 0.939, categorized as very high. These findings confirm that SVeR offers excellent validity, practicality, and effectiveness for assessing learning device suitability. Future research should test SVeR across institutions, compare systems, evaluate integration, and expand its applications.

Abstract

To support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 regarding quality and equitable education, the development of innovative science learning models is crucial for early childhood in underdeveloped regions, such as the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border. Disparities in educational access in border areas often hinder the optimization of children's cognitive potential during their golden years. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a neuroscience-based Reflective Inquiry Learning (RIL) model to improve Executive Function (EF) in preschool children. The intervention was implemented through two cycles of Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving 40 preschool children, utilizing data triangulation to assess behavioral changes across the cycles. Quantitative analysis using paired t-tests showed highly statistically significant improvements (p < 0.05$) from the baseline to the completion of the second cycle across all domains, particularly in socio-emotional (+32.70%) and language (+25.60%) skills. The most prominent EF enhancements were observed in emotion regulation (+35%) and inhibitory control (+30%), indicating improvements in executive functions associated with neuroplasticity-related learning processes. In conclusion, the neuroscience-based RIL model serves as an effective and practical pedagogical intervention to optimize EF and support holistic child development in remote border regions

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) serves as a robust pedagogical framework to engage students in solving real-world contextual problems through empirical evidence and collaborative innovation. This study seeks to analyze the creativity of prospective chemistry teacher students in voltaic cell learning through the implementation of PjBL using local organic resources. By adopting a mixed methods design method with a repeated measures design, the study involved 10 prospective chemistry teachers enrolled in the Basic Chemistry 2 course at Universitas Cenderawasih, Jayapura, Indonesia. Research instruments included observation rating scales for creativity, pre-test and post-test assessments for conceptual mastery, and a Likert-scale perception survey to evaluate professional motivation. The results demonstrated a significant positive impact across all measured dimensions. An analysis of student creativity showed that 60% of students were "creative," 30% were "very creative," and 10% were "quite creative," especially when it came to how fluently and originally they used local plant. Furthermore, a high-category Normalized Gain (N-gain) of 0.76 validated pedagogical effectiveness, indicating a substantial increase in conceptual mastery of electrochemical principles. Technical analysis confirmed that indigenous resources, such as local lime, provided stable voltage suitable for series circuit engineering to power electronic loads. Finally, the perception survey showed a very high score (4.95/5.00) for professional intent, reflecting a strong motivation to replicate this "living laboratory" model in future careers. This ethnochemistry-based PjBL approach effectively transforms local environments into authentic scientific laboratories, fostering resourceful, innovative, and culturally responsive science educators in resource-constrained regions

Abstract

The speed with which emerging digital technologies have changed our communications has impacted many aspects of the communication process wherever people interact in their personal and professional lives. In part this study sought to explore the influence of emerging digital communication technologies on users’ communication behaviors, perceptions and attitudes. A quantitative research design was used. Data was collected online through an online survey. We collected data from 278 participants age 18 years and older. Stratified random sampling was used to provide an adequate demographic representation. The instrument consisted of demographic items, technology use patterns and Likert-style questions to depict users’ perception of if their communication changed and about their attitude toward technology.  Descriptive statistics indicated very high use rates of e-mail (89.3%), AI (86.5%) and video conferencing (84.0%). While technology use varied daily, 27.3% of participants indicated they spent more than five hours each day communicating digitally. When user perceptions associated with technology impacts were reported as moderate agreements that the emerging technologies improved the speed and access of communication; however, concussions about the quality of the interaction that replaced face-to-face time was are something to think about. We'd like to point out that the overall reliability of the survey instrument was reasonable69 for a couple of key sections, Cronbach's alpha was above 0.7. The initial findings of this research indicate that while emerging digital technologies have improved the speed of connection and efficiency in communication, users are still careful of the social ramifications. Future discussions and strategies should look to balance technological gains and the need for some form of inter-personal relationship. This research is a contribution to the literature for research and practice, especially as it relates to the burgeoning evolution of digital communications.

Abstract

Blockchain application in educational administrative systems has emerged as a possible way to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in administrative and academic operations. Despite its growing relevance, a systematic review of blockchain applications across public administration and the field of education is not abundant. With this inquiry, we intend to deliver an extensive literature review to highlight trends, benefits and limitations regarding the use of blockchain technology in educational governance and management in the interest of systematically reviewing and reporting empirical studies through the PRISMA methodology. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, consisting of synthesizing relevant literature according to the specification outlined by the PRISMA framework, resulted in 25 quality studies that were published between 2016-2025, selected from various peer-reviewed journals contained within the databases of IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Emerald Publishing, MDPI, and Wiley Online Library. Results of a thematic analysis revealed three significant themes: (1) blockchain enables secure verification of credentials, exchange of credits and green learning teaching learning processes; (2) blockchain supports public sector reform, enhancing transparency and accountability within government bodies; and (3) realization of blockchain technology has been hindered by concerns of cost, scalability, privacy and, resistance to implementation. Overall, this study suggests that blockchain can be catalytic for scaling teaching, learning and administrative processes in education and highlights the need for strategic frameworks in order to overcome technological and organizational challenges.
