Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic business ethics in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study uses a mixed approach with a quantitative method in the form of a survey of MSMEs and a qualitative method in the form of an in-depth interview with MSME owners or managers. The results of the study show that Islamic business ethics have a positive and significant influence on the performance of MSMEs. The honesty dimension is the key factor that has the most influence on the performance of MSMEs. MSMEs that apply Islamic business ethics at a high level have better performance compared to MSMEs that apply Islamic business ethics at a low level. The implementation of Islamic business ethics in MSMEs still faces several challenges, such as lack of understanding, lack of resources, and unfair competition. This research provides implications for MSME actors, the government, Islamic financial institutions, and subsequent researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the service quality of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Medan Juanda Sub-Branch Office based on the Management Fieldwork Program conducted by students of the Sharia Business Management Study Program. The research applied a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation and documentation. The results indicate that services at BSI Medan Juanda are good, reflected in employee friendliness, transaction speed, and the clarity of product information. The implementation of sharia principles is ensured since all banking products are supervised by the Sharia Supervisory Board. However, several challenges were identified, such as long queues during peak hours, limited customer service staff, and low customer understanding of sharia products. Recommendations include adding service staff, optimizing digital services through BSI Mobile, and providing continuous socialization of sharia products. The study concludes that services at BSI Medan Juanda have met sharia service standards, although improvements are still required in efficiency and customer literacy.

Abstract

Abstract

This research explores how interpersonal meaning is constructed in the Islamic speeches of Zakir Naik by applying the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Within the context of ‘dakwah’, language operates not only as a channel for delivering religious knowledge but also as an interactive resource through which speakers establish authority, express conviction, and engage their audiences. As an internationally recognized Islamic preacher, Zakir Naik employs distinctive linguistic strategies that warrant systematic linguistic investigation. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach and examines selected transcripts of Zakir Naik’s public speeches. Analysis is conducted using the interpersonal metafunction of SFL, focusing specifically on the grammatical systems of mood. The clause is treated as the main unit of analysis, as it represents the primary locus of interpersonal meaning. Each clause is categorized based on its mood type. The result is declarative clauses are predominantly used, indicating a strong tendency toward asserting information and reinforcing religious authority.
