Abstract

In the era of globalization and digitalization, the banking industry faces increasingly complex challenges, such as intense competition, regulatory changes, and rising customer expectations for fast, secure, and high-quality services. In this context, employee performance becomes a key factor in determining the bank's ability to adapt and grow. Employee performance not only includes technical competence in carrying out banking tasks but also skills in serving customers, mitigating risks, and maintaining the institution's reputation and trust. Theoretically, this research is based on the concept of business administration, which views organizations as a series of interconnected activities to achieve objectives, including effective human resource management. In the workplace, employees' perceptions of their environment and the feedback provided by supervisors play an important role in shaping attitudes, motivation, and performance. This study employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of employee performance dynamics in the field. The findings indicate that employees who consistently apply the principles of Amanah, Shiddiq, Fathanah, and Tabligh tend to receive constructive feedback that encourages performance improvement. Conversely, employees who are less optimal in applying these principles generally receive corrective feedback as a form of guidance. Properly delivered feedback has been shown to strengthen positive employee behavior, as explained in reinforcement theory, which states that behavior is more likely to be repeated when it results in favorable consequences. Overall, the performance of BAS Lhokseumawe Branch employees is categorized as good, as reflected in the achievement of targets and compliance with sharia principles. This study suggests that management should enhance the quality of communication in providing feedback, including through training for unit leaders to deliver objective, constructive, and empathetic feedback, thus improving employee motivation without creating psychological pressure.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of scarcity strategies on the social media platform Instagram on impulsive buying behavior of consumers at Hijrah Store Lhokseumawe. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method and simple linear regression, the study involved 100 active consumer respondents selected through purposive sampling. The collected primary data were then processed using SPSS version 25 software. Data analysis results indicate that the scarcity strategy (X) has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying behavior (Y), evidenced by a calculated t-value of 2.469, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.984 (sig. 0.015 < 0.05); therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. These findings align with the SOR theory, which asserts that the more effective the scarcity strategy implemented on Instagram as a stimulus, the stronger the consumers' psychological drive to make impulsive purchases as a response.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital advertising on TikTok on consumer purchase intention among undergraduate students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Malikussaleh University. The study employed a quantitative survey approach and simple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 100 students selected through purposive sampling with proportional allocation across six study programs. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and processed with SPSS version 27. The results show that AI-based digital advertising on TikTok has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchase intention. This is proven by a calculated t-value of 11.761, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.984, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The correlation coefficient of 0.765 indicates a strong relationship, while the coefficient of determination of 0.585 shows that digital advertising explains 58.5% of the variation in purchase intention. These findings confirm that advertisements that are easy to understand, innovative, persuasive, and entertaining can increase consumers' interest in seeking product information and developing purchase intention

The findings indicate that store atmosphere and word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on visiting decisions. The t-test results show that the t value for store atmosphere was 4.322 and for word of mouth was 8.509, both exceeding the t-table value of 1.985, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The F-test yielded an F value of 186.293 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.793.

Abstract

The development of thrift shop businesses in Indonesia has continued to increase along with public interest in good-quality branded second-hand clothing at relatively affordable prices. However, the importation of used clothing is prohibited under applicable Indonesian laws and regulations. This study analyzes the legal compliance of the Goodsien Thrift Outlet in Medan regarding the legality of imported second-hand clothing and identifies factors influencing such compliance. A qualitative descriptive method was used. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the outlet owner, an employee, and consumers, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that legal compliance has not been fully achieved. Although the business has fulfilled business legality requirements and obtained goods through domestic suppliers rather than importing directly, it has not been able to ensure the legality of the goods' origin from suppliers, while detailed understanding of the import prohibition remains limited. Legal compliance is influenced by legal knowledge, legal awareness, economic considerations, the business environment, and limited government dissemination and supervision. Greater legal education, guidance, supervision, and improved legal awareness are therefore required.
