Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the housing preferences of the millennial generation in Jambi City. The primary objective is to identify the factors influencing millennials' decision-making in home purchases, including socio-economic demographics, lifestyle, and housing attributes. Data was collected through an online questionnaire using a random sampling method. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), with total 400 respondent. The results show that socio-economic demographic factors such as income, education level, and employment status significantly influence housing preferences. Additionally, a modern lifestyle emphasizing comfort and accessibility also plays a crucial role. Housing attributes such as location, facilities, and developer reputation were found to be significant factors in purchasing decisions. These findings can be used by housing developers to design properties that meet millennial needs and by policymakers to formulate inclusive and affordable housing policies.

Abstract

Child marriage at an early age has negative impacts, especially for women, including significant impacts on reproductive health and the economy. Based on data from the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) for 2021, there are around 2.4 million annually in Indonesia. This study uses the theory of Family Economic Welfare with 8 variables. The data used in this study is data sourced from the results of the March 2021 National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) using the STATA 12 and SPSS 25 data analysis methods. This study uses logistic regression on 659,261 respondents from all over Indonesia, among whom are categorized as prosperous and 71,701 respondents as not prosperous, based on each respondent's monthly income compared to the national poverty line. The results of this study explain that there is a significant influence between the variables of early marriage, area of residence, number of household members, gender, school participation, last education, home ownership, and sources of information that have a significant influence on welfare. Partially, early marriage has a significant influence on welfare. So, accepting H1 or the independent variable (early marriage) in this logistic regression model partially or individually significantly influences the dependent variable (welfare). Partially, economic welfare has a significant influence on early marriage. This is indicated by the p-value of the early marriage variable, which is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Low early marriage requires extreme efforts from the human self and interaction with the environment and government support, so collaboration between community groups and the government is needed.

Abstract

Tourism will develop if the views of local communities are taken into account in the tourism development process itself. Therefore, understanding tourism development from the perspective of local communities will deepen understanding of the long-term success of tourist destinations. This research aims to understand community support for tourism development based on social exchange theory and Bottom Up Spillover using primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to communities around tourist attractions. The number of respondents was 200 people. The analytical tool used is SEM PLS. The research results found theoretical and empirical evidence about the relationship between variables. Based on the structural equation model, it shows that the benefits felt by residents from tourism development have a positive effect on satisfaction with material and non-material life domains, thus this will contribute to the overall quality of life. Then overall quality of life is an effective predictor to support tourism development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parental knowledge, maternal nutritional status, and toddler care patterns on the incidence of stunting in Payakumbuh City. The study uses a quantitative approach with a field study design. The sample consisted of 373 respondents, and the data were analysed using logistic regression. The results showed that parental knowledge had a significant effect on the incidence of stunting. Parents with a good understanding of nutrition, balanced diets, sanitation, and child health care tend to be able to apply parenting practices that support toddler growth and development. Maternal nutritional status did not show a significant effect on stunting. Meanwhile, toddler parenting practices were found to have a very significant effect. Feeding practices, developmental stimulation, hygiene, and health care play an important role in preventing stunting.
