The study emphasizes the role of education in shaping human resources and promoting sustainable economic development. It suggests that increased investment in education can create a stronger pool of skilled workers, leading to economic growth. The research also reveals a temporary increase in employment as a result of education-driven growth, contributing to the sustainable development of human resources. The study highlights the importance of education funding in nurturing human capital and advocates for policy interventions that prioritize education as a driver of Indonesia's long-term development goals. Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of internal remittances on household welfare in Indonesia. The focus of this study is not only to identify the direct influence of remittances on welfare but also to investigate how internal remittances affect household welfare through consumptive expenditures. The analytical tool used is Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The data used in this study is derived from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) for the years 2007 and 2014. The research sample consists of 772 households with members who are internal migrant workers. The results of the study indicate that the improvement in household welfare is not only directly influenced by internal remittances but also by how these remittances are managed, particularly when used for consumptive spending. Other factors, such as the number of household members, also play a significant role in enhancing household welfare.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of the Pre-Employment Card Program on workers' wage levels using SAKERNAS data. This study uses the Difference in Difference method to evaluate the pre-employment card program on wages. The results of the analysis show that the program has not succeeded in increasing workers' wages in accordance with its initial objectives. The results also show that workers who did not receive the pre-employment card have higher wage levels compared to those who received the program. These findings underscore the need for an in-depth evaluation of the design, implementation, and training curriculum of the Pre-Employment Card program. This evaluation should consider feedback from participants as well as a labour market needs analysis to ensure the program's relevance and effectiveness in increasing workers' wages in the future. This research also highlights the importance of adjusting the program based on dynamic labor market conditions as well as the specific needs of workers. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for policy makers and program implementers to improve the quality and impact of the Pre-Employment Card Program, so that it can contribute more effectively to improving the economic welfare of workers in Indonesia

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing the income of entrepreneurs with disabilities, focusing on financial bookkeeping, education, digital technology, social participation, location, and gender. Utilizing data from Indonesia’s 2021 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), this quantitative research employs multiple linear regression modeling to analyze the relationships between these factors and income. The findings reveal that financial bookkeeping and digital technology significantly impact income, with financial bookkeeping exhibiting the strongest effect. Education and social participation also positively influence income by enhancing entrepreneurial skills and confidence. Location and gender highlight disparities, with urban entrepreneurs faring better, while female entrepreneurs still face limited income opportunities. These findings underscore the need for inclusive policies targeting financial training, education, digital infrastructure, and support for marginalized groups. The insights offered by this study provide valuable contributions to understanding and addressing the economic challenges faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities.
