Abstract

Based on observations made by researchers at SD Negeri 015 Rambah Samo, problems were found in class III science learning. The learning strategy used by the teacher is monotonous. Learning is not running effectively, many students chat and do not pay attention to the teacher's explanation. So that student learning activities become less optimal and student learning outcomes are low. Based on the problems found, the researchers applied the bamboo dancing learning model to science learning. With the aim to improve student learning activities. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were 25 grade III students, consisting of 8 male students and 17 female students. The research was carried out for 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Data collection techniques using observation of teacher activities and student activities, documentation. The results showed that after applying the bamboo dancing learning model to science learning, the learning activities of class III students at SD Negeri 015 Rambah Samo increased. Research shows that the percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 72.5% and cycle II increased to 90% which was categorized as very good. Student learning activity in cycle I was 71.25% and in cycle II increased to 87%. So from cycle I to cycle II student learning activities increased by 15.72%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap peduli sosial siswa kelas V SD Negeri 015 Ujungbatu melalui metode group to group (GGE) sebanyak 26 orang siswa yang dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) pada siklus I Pertemuan I persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 54% dan pada pertemuan II sebesar 62% sedangkan siswa yang tidak tuntas pada siklus I pertemuan I sebesar 46% dan pada pertemuan II sebesar 38%. Siklus II pertemuan I siswa yang tuntas sebesar 73% dan pada pertemuan II sebesar 88%. Sedangkan pada pertemuan I siswa yang tidak tuntas 27% dan pertemuan II 12%. Pada peningkatan sikap sosial menunjukkan sikap sosial sangat baik berjumlah 4 siswa, baik 19 siswa dan hanya 3 siswa yang kriteria cukup. Hal ini menunjukkan berhasilnya guru dalam meningkatkan sikap sosial siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 015 Ujungbatu.

Abstract

Mathematics is often perceived as abstract and difficult, limiting students’ conceptual understanding and engagement. To address this challenge, this study aims to develop animation-based mathematics learning media using Canva to enhance students' conceptual understanding. Employing a research and development (R&D) methodology, the study adopts the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The media was designed to support interactive and visual learning experiences in mathematics, specifically targeting the improvement of students’ grasp of abstract mathematical concepts. Validation was conducted by a panel of experts, including content experts, media design experts, and instructional experts. The results showed a content validity score of 92.5%, indicating that the media is highly valid in terms of content relevance, accuracy, and alignment with curriculum standards. The practicality of the media was evaluated through teacher and student responses, yielding a practicality score of 89.2%, suggesting that the media is easy to use, engaging, and effective in classroom settings. These findings demonstrate that the Canva-based animation media is both valid and practical for use in mathematics instruction. It is recommended for broader implementation to improve conceptual understanding and learner engagement in mathematics education.
