Abstract

The Paper Boat film is an adaptation of the novel by Dewi Lestari with the youth romance genre which was first published in digital form (WAP) in April 2008, until finally it was successfully published in a book and published in 2009 by Bentang Pustaka. Paper Boat itself is Dee's sixth novel and his first novel with a popular genre. Departing from the background that the researcher described, the researcher is interested in analyzing and dismantling the visual meanings contained in the film poster "Paper Boat" using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis method. Because behind the visuals of course there are messages that the poster maker wants to convey, both in the icon, index and symbol. From the results of the analysis, the researchers found that in designing a film poster work (Paper Boat) the poster maker deliberately includes and includes components in the form of signs that have meaning to make a beautiful ornament and can convey the message to be conveyed in a design work.

Abstract

It is necessary to prioritize the roles of all parties in order to activate the marketing of UMKM after the COVID-19 pandemic, including academics. Activities that can be carried out by stakeholders from academia are to provide knowledge and guidance to business actors, and one of them is training in labeling to improve the marketing of UMKM players. This activity is carried out in the form of dedication with the methods of implementation, such as preparation, training, and evaluation. The results of the service show that training activities for making business labels to improve MSME marketing in the North Lombok district can increase the knowledge of training participants regarding product business labels, including (1) the rules for making labels, (2) the function of labels to improve marketing, and (3) the steps for making labels using CorelDraw and Canva software.

Abstract

The rate of early marriage in Indonesia is still high. In terms of region, West Nusa Tenggara is the province with the highest number of women who have entered into early marriage at 16.23%. Like adolescents who have the potential to marry early, the community, especially women who have already married early, also needs attention. This service activity aims to empower women who have entered into early marriage through Design, Entrepreneurship and Financial Training. This activity uses the Service-Learning method. This activity was carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity show that the training can (1) increase participants' knowledge about the stages of designing product promotion media using the Canva application on cell phones, (2) increase digital entrepreneurship knowledge including formulating creative business ideas and advertising online on buying and selling platforms and (3) increase participants' knowledge regarding business financial management.

Abstract

The problem found in the environment of SMP Negeri 1 Gerung is the lack of understanding of students in using or exploiting digital media as an effective learning tool, especially in the field of graphic design, which is currently the promotional media with the greatest use in society. This training was carried out with the aim of providing insight and experience for students so they know better how to use digital media properly and correctly. This training focuses on understanding and how to create poster designs using currently available digital media. For students, this training is very necessary so that they can use digital media professionally. The expected benefit is that students are able to understand and create poster designs by utilizing existing digital media and can broaden their horizons in graphic design science. The method in this activity is to provide material and design training using vector and bitmap image processing software, by providing understanding and training about poster graphic design that students can use, starting from providing an understanding of posters, showing what is needed to make a poster, and train how to make posters and how to use posters. The result of this activity is that students understand and are able to make posters and can utilize the posters they make. This activity also provides benefits for the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Gerung who participated in the training, to be able to implement the knowledge they have to students and the wider community.

Abstract

Study This aim for know and describe about cloth weaving typical West Nusa Tenggara Bima area includes (1) history existence Bima weaving, and (2) form and meaning of the motifs on the cloth weaving typical Bima area. Study This use method descriptive qualitative, instrument in study This is researcher. For strengthening research, researcher use guidelines observation, interview, and documentation. object study This is culture Rimpu in Bima district. Data validation is done with adequacy referential and persistence observation. Whereas technique deep data analysis study This is descriptive qualitative and use stages that is data collection, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion. Based on results weaving motif research culture the Bima community of West Nusa Tenggara, namely: (1) Based on customary provisions, every woman who enters her teens must be skilled at doing Muna ro Medi, which is an activity of mothers to improve the welfare of family life. These customary orders were obeyed by all Mbojo women until the 1960s. From an early age, girls are guided and trained to become “Ma Loa Ro Tingi” (skillful and artistic) weavers. (2) Weaving Bima has four basic motives namely floral motifs samobo Which meaning A hope society, flower satako who became symbol personality somebody like sprig spreading flowers fragrant and beautiful in her life, flower kakado who have cue that position highest and top namely the Lord of the Universe Nature and flowers aruna Which contain the meaning of the 99 attributes of God, as creator always nature praised and worshiped by His servants.
