Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce the Internet of Things to children, particularly those in orphanages. The extraordinary development of digital communication technology offers significant positive impacts when properly understood. The method implemented is a knowledge transfer approach, which includes lectures and dialogues, along with examples of commonly used applications. The evaluation was conducted by dividing the participants into two groups: children and teenagers. For the children, the evaluation method involved a question-and-answer session with the success parameter being the number of participants raising their hands. For the teenagers, a pre-test and post-test consisting of multiple-choice questions were administered. The results were quite remarkable, with the success rate for the children reaching 62.5% and the teenagers nearly 88%, proving that the material was very well absorbed.

Abstract

Metro 6 State Senior High School is one of the schools that produces the best graduates in Metro City. Learning at this school strives to utilize the latest technology that is in accordance with the needs of the times. One technology that has not been taught at this school is Internet of Things technology. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that refers to a network of physical devices connected via the internet, which are able to exchange data without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. In the context of IoT, "physical devices" can include various types of objects, such as sensors, vehicles, household appliances, medical devices, and many more. Metro 6 State Senior High School students do not yet have an understanding of IoT theory and applications. This PKM activity introduces IoT technology through knowledge dissemination and practical assistance for IoT applications in simple applications such as turning on lights via smartphones. The results of this PKM activity are that students' knowledge of IoT theory and applications has increased by more than 100%, as shown by the results of the pre-test with an average score of 39.41 increasing to 80.59 in the post-test. In addition, students are also able to practice turning on lights via IoT-based smartphones. In addition, students of SMA Negeri 6 are facilitated with esp32 microcontrollers, relays and other tools that support the sustainability of IoT practical activities at this school.

Abstract

Metamaterials have shown great potential for energy device applications, including energy harvesting, storage, and transmission. However, implementing metamaterials in energy devices presents several challenges, such as complex design and fabrication, narrowband limitation, and integration with existing technologies. Despite these challenges, ongoing research and development in the field of metamaterials is focused on exploring new materials, designs, and applications for metamaterials in energy devices. Specific examples of energy devices that use metamaterials include solar cells, wind turbines, thermal management systems, energy storage systems, wireless power transfer systems, and 3D metamaterials for energy harvesting. The use of metamaterials in energy devices has the potential to revolutionize the energy sector by enabling more efficient and sustainable energy generation, storage, and transmission systems.

Abstract

Claims paid by hospitals need to be identified to verify the accuracy of health services, maintain service quality, and optimize services provided to the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS Kesehatan) participants. This aligns with the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages, particularly in the context of universal health coverage. The difference in tariffs set by BPJS Kesehatan (INA-CBGs) compared to the amount paid by hospitals has led to a problem that can harm health facilities, such as delayed claim payments. This study aims to analyze the amount of claims paid by a regional hospital to BPJS Kesehatan participants using machine learning with the Random Forest Regression method. Based on this modeling, it was found that the severity of patients, length of stay, and type of illness are the most significant factors in determining the amount of claims. This study has an accuracy value of 81.89%, an adjusted R-square value of 80.4%, and a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 18.11% in estimating the amount of claims.
