Abstract

Abstract Training on the use of the Canva application for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers aims to improve their skills in utilizing graphic design technology to create more interesting and effective learning. In the digital era, the use of technology-based learning media is an urgent need for educators to be able to deliver material innovatively and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood. This community service activity was carried out in October 2024 at the PG-PAUD Laboratory of Hamzanwadi University involving 20 participants. This training consists of several stages, namely needs assessment, coordination with related parties, implementation of training, observation, and evaluation of activity results. The methods used include theory and practical sessions, where participants gain a basic understanding of visual design principles, the use of Canva features, and the application of graphic elements appropriate for early childhood teaching materials. The training results showed a significant increase in the skills of PAUD teachers in designing creative learning materials, such as educational posters, worksheets, infographics, and interactive learning cards. Evaluation through a questionnaire to participants revealed that 92% of them felt great benefits from this training in improving creativity and innovation in learning. In addition, the design results produced by participants reflect the optimal use of Canva in supporting the cognitive, language, and motor development of PAUD children. Thus, this training not only contributes to the development of teacher professionalism, but also increases the effectiveness of the learning process at the PAUD level. Keywords: canva; early childhood education; learning media; graphic design.
