Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of expected rate of return, financial leverage, and liquidity on capital budget efficiency in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2023. The research method uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The sample consists of 60 companies selected through a purposive sampling method. The results of the study indicate that simultaneously, expected rate of return, financial leverage, and liquidity have a significant effect on capital budget efficiency. Partially, financial leverage and liquidity have a significant effect on capital budget efficiency, while the expected rate of return does not have a significant effect. The R Square value of 0.264 indicates that 26.4% of the variation in capital budget efficiency can be explained by the three independent variables. The classical assumption test shows that the regression model is free from multicollinearity problems and the residuals are normally distributed. These findings imply that companies need to pay attention to financing structure and liquidity management in order to improve the efficiency of capital budget use.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the extent to which profitability, interest rates, and expected returns influence the effectiveness of capital budgeting in industrial gas companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018–2022 period. Capital budgeting is an essential tool for determining the feasibility of long-term investments through the evaluation of expected financial benefits. This research employs a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis to measure the relationship among variables. The results show that profitability, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA), has a positive and significant effect on improving the effectiveness of capital budgeting. In contrast to profitability, interest rates have a negative and significant impact. Meanwhile, expected returns also have a positive effect, but the influence is not statistically significant. These findings emphasize the importance for company management to consider both internal and external financial factors in investment planning to create sustainable added value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of recycling, resource efficiency, and product innovation on the implementation of circular economy in the textile industry and plastic processing industry in East Java Province. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary data from five companies over the period 2020-2024, this study found that recycling and resource efficiency have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of circular economy, while product innovation does not show a significant effect. The research model has a very high explanatory power (R² = 0.983), indicating that 98.3% of the variation in circular economy implementation can be explained by the three variables. The study also found a significant reciprocal relationship between circular economy implementation and recycling practices. This finding confirms the importance of optimizing recycling practices and resource efficiency in promoting a circular economy, while highlighting the need to align product innovation strategies to be more oriented towards the principles of sustainability and circularity in the context of industry in East Java.

Abstract

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires a holistic approach that integrates sustainable investment, government policy, and community engagement. Indonesia, as a country with significant resource potential and complex development challenges, faces pressure to accelerate SDG achievement in an inclusive and equitable manner. This study aims to thoroughly examine the contributions of these three elements in supporting the sustainable development agenda. Sustainable investment serves as a vital instrument by directing financing toward sectors that support the transition to a green economy, integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The government plays a central role through policies, regulations, and incentives-such as Presidential Regulation No. 112 of 2022 and OJK policies-designed to strengthen the green finance ecosystem. However, investment and policy alone will not be effective without active community involvement. Community participation in planning and monitoring development promotes accountability and strengthens a sense of ownership over development programs. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data collected through literature studies and field observations. Findings indicate that synergy among stakeholders is key to successful SDG implementation, especially at the local and village levels. Barriers such as limited outreach, low community participation, and resource constraints remain major challenges. Therefore, strengthening community capacity and cross-sector collaboration are essential to achieving sustainable development. The results of this study are expected to provide strategic input for policymakers and development practitioners in effectively integrating sustainability approaches.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the effect of profit growth, financial indicators and dividends on the share price of the manufacturing industry listed on the LQ45 index for the 2020-2022 period. This research uses a quantitative approach and uses the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) test tool. The data in this study were obtained from the financial statements of public companies in the manufacturing industry listed on the LQ45 index. Independent variables include earnings growth rate, return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), price to earning ratio (PER), price to book ratio (PBV), and dividends paid by the company. Research shows that financial ratios which include ROA, ROE, PER, and PBV variables have a positive and significant influence on the stock price of a company, besides that although earnings growth has a positive impact on stock prices but is not significant on stock prices, the growth varies greatly, as well as dividends. This helps investors, financial managers, and business decision makers to understand the things that affect the stock price of manufacturing companies in the LQ45 index. If a company wants to maintain or increase its share value in a competitive market, it should consider its earnings history, financial metrics, and dividend policy.
