Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to train MTs Muhammadiyah PK Bayat teachers how to create learning videos with Ms. PowerPoint and Fastone Capture. Face-to-face training in the form of material for making learning video content using Ms. PowerPoint and screen recording using Fastone Capture was used in this program. Participants be able to make learning videos using Ms. PowerPoint and Fastone Capture as an outcome of this training session.

Abstract

[English]: This case study aimed to describe the metacognition of male students in solving analytical geometry problems referring to cognitive style. The subjects were mathematics students who enrolled in Analytic Geometry course and selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument of this research was the researcher as the main instrument and a problem-solving test as the supporting instrument. Data were collected using a think-aloud method and analyzed through three steps: reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that at the stage of understanding the problem, FI and FD male students read questions silently and did not write what is known and asked in the problem. At the planning stage, FD male student drew elements that are fully known, while male FI students did not do so. At the stage of implementing the plan, FI male student was aware of less effective strategy, while FD male students did not. In re-checking phase, FI male student used a variety of strategies and checked whether or not the results meet the criteria of solving the problem, while FD male students used a variety of strategies but are assisted with a prompt. This study shows that FI and FD male students have similar metacognition profile at the stage of understanding the problem, but they are different in planning, doing the plan and re-checking the result of problem-solving. Keywords : Metacognition, Gender, Analytic geometry, Cognitive style, Problem-solving [Bahasa]: Peneltian studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan metakognisi mahasiswa laki-laki dalam memecahkan masalah geometri analitik ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Subjek penelitianadalah mahasiswa matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah Geometri Analitik dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi instrumen utama (peneliti) dan instrumen bantu (soal pemecahan masalah geometri analitik). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode think aloud. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada tahap memahami masalah, mahasiswa laki-laki FI dan FD membaca soal dalam hati serta tidak menuliskan yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. Pada tahap menyusun rencana, mahasiswa laki-laki FD menggambar unsur-unsur yang diketahui secara lengkap, sedangkan mahasiswa laki-laki FI tidak melakukannya. Pada tahap melaksanakan rencana, mahasiswa laki-laki FI menyadari terdapat strategi yang kurang efektif, sedangkan mahasiswa laki-laki FD tidak melakukannya. Pada tahap mengecek kembali, mahasiswa laki-laki FI menggunakan strategi bervariasi dan mengecek apakah hasil yang diperoleh memenuhi kriteria yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah, sedangkan mahasiswa laki-laki FD menggunakan strategi yang bervariasi tetapi dibantu dengan pertanyaan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa laki-laki FI dan FD memiliki profil metakognisi yang sama pada tahap memahami masalah namun berbeda pada menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana dan mengecek kembali hasil pemecahan masalah. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition based on the following four components: (1) the discovery of triangles and quadrilateral definitions; (2) the discovery of the formula for the area of a triangle and a quadrilateral; (3) arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral; and (4) facilities to create concept maps for students. Type of this study was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The description given in this study was about the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition by reviewing the four components. Data analysis in this study used content analysis The conclusions of this study are (1) there is no facility to find definitions of the types of triangles and quadrilateral; (2) there are facilities to find the formula of triangles and quadrilateral use the help table, not by using the other quadrilateral area approach; (3) the arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral materials is not right yet; and (4) there is no the facility to create concept maps for students.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sistematika dari buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 berdasarkan empat komponen berikut: (1) penemuan definisi segitiga dan segiempat; (2) penemuan rumus luas daerah segitiga dan segiempat; (3) susunan materi segitiga dan segiempat; dan (4) fasilitas membuat peta konsep bagi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Deskripsi yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang sistematika buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 dengan meninjau empat komponen. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) belum terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan definisi jenis segitiga dan segiempat; (2) terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan rumus segitiga dan segiempat menggunakan tabel bantuan, bukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan area segiempat lainnya; (3) urutan materi segitiga dan segiempat belum benar; dan (4) tidak ada fasilitas untuk membuat peta konsep untuk siswa.Kata Kunci: analisis, sistematika, kurikulum 2013, segitiga, dan segiempat

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the difficulties of students in developing student worksheets (LKS) and interactive mathematics learning media. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Widya Dharma University, Klaten. The data collection method used in this research is documentation, observation, and interviews. Method triangulation techniques are used to obtain valid data by comparing the results of observations with the results of interviews. The data analysis process in this study was carried out based on the model of Miles, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that students experience difficulties in developing worksheets and interactive learning media. The types of difficulties are (1) difficulty in arranging findings or formula construction on certain materials, (2) difficulty in compiling worksheets and learning media that require students to provide varied responses, (3) difficulties in developing contextual and challenging initial problems and (4) difficulty in constructing apperception.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties of students in compiling a thesis research background. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research that uses a case study approach to analyze the difficulties of students in preparing the background for thesis research. The subjects taken in this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Widya Dharma University Klaten who took the thesis course. The data collection method in this study used the documentation method, the observation method and the interview method. The method triangulation technique was used to obtain valid data in this study. The instrument in this study used the main instrument and auxiliary instrument. The main instrument is the researcher who has a role to collect data in this study. Auxiliary instruments consist of two types, namely observation sheets and interview guides. Data analysis in this study uses the analytical model of Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014) which consists of data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are students have difficulty in (1) identifying the problem (2) focusing on the main research problem, (3) identifying the importance of solving the main problem, (4) reviewing previous research, (5) analyzing the shortcomings of previous research, and (6) reviewed other literature to correct the shortcomings of previous studies.

Abstract

An odd harmonious graph is a graph that satisfies the odd harmonious labeling properties. In this study, a new graph class construction is presented, namely zinnia flower graphs and variations of the zinnia flower graphs. The research method used is qualitative and includes several phases, namely data collection, data processing and analysis, and verification of the results. The purpose of this research is to find a new class of graphs that is a family of odd harmonious graphs. We will prove that prove that the zinnia flower graph and its variations satisfy odd harmonious labeling properties. The result of this research is that the zinnia flower graph and its variations are odd harmonious graphs. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang terdiri beberapa tahapan yaitu pengumpulan data, pengolahan dan analisis data, serta verifikasi hasil. Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to train junior high school mathematics teachers to be able to utilize GeoGebra in visualizing the construction of flat shape area formula. The program carried out in collaboration with IndoMS DIY-Central Java. The method used in this community service is an online workshop. The result of this workshop is that the participants are able to visualize the construction of flat shape area formula for a triangular and parallelogram.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the LKPD used in delivering geometry transformation material for class XI SMK Negeri 4 Klaten. This study aims to analyze the completeness of Student Worksheets (LKPD) as a medium for learning mathematics. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The method used in this research is the method of interviews and document review. The instruments used were interview guidelines and document review sheets. Based on the results of the analysis, information was obtained that the percentage of completeness of the components of the LKPD for geometry transformation material for class XI SMK Negeri 4 Klaten was 50%. Components that have not been included in the LKPD include LKPD objectives, apperceptions, contextual initial problems, overall conclusions, and problem solving. So it can be concluded that the LKPD is not classified as a good LKPD.

Abstract

AbstrakGuru masih mengalami kendala dalam membuat video pembelajaran terkait dengan kemahiran, bahasa dan ketidaksesuain antara objek video dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Calon guru matematika perlu disiapkan untuk dapat membuat video pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi, peserta didik serta sesuai dengan tututan di era digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kendala calon guru matematika dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini termasuk studi kasus yang berfokus pada analisis kendala calon guru matematika dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran ditinjau dari aspek isi, aspek penyajian, aspek bahasa, dan aspek grafika. Subjek penelitian diambil dari 14 mahasiswa yang telah menempuh kuliah Inovasi Pembelajaran pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Widya Dharma Klaten. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode pengambilan data yang meliputi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen utama peneliti sendiri yang mengambil data penelitian serta instrumen bantu dalam bentuk lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang membandingkan data hasil observasi terhadap video pembelajaran dengan hasil wawancara sehingga didapatkan data yang valid. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kendala yang dialami oleh calon guru matematika dalam membuat video pembelajaran matematika terletak pada indikator ketepatan isi materi, konstruksi konsep atau rumus matematika, kelengkapan informasi, kejelasan suara, dan kesesuaian antara ilustrasi dengan materi. Abstract Teachers are still experiencing problems in making learning videos related to skills, language and discrepancies between video objects and student characteristics. Prospective math teachers need to be prepared to be able to make learning videos that are in accordance with the characteristics of the material, students and in accordance with the demands of the digital era. The purpose of this research is to analyze the constraints of future mathematics teachers in making learning videos. This research includes a case study that focuses on analyzing the constraints of prospective mathematics teachers in making learning videos in terms of content, presentation, language, and graphic aspects. The research subjects were taken from 14 students who had taken the Learning Innovation course at the Mathematics Education Study Program, Widya Dharma University, Klaten. In this study, three data collection methods were used which included documentation, observation and interviews. This study uses the main instrument of the researcher himself who collects research data and auxiliary instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview guides. This study uses a triangulation technique that compares observational data to learning videos with interview results so that valid data is obtained. The results of this study are that the obstacles experienced by prospective mathematics teachers in making mathematics learning videos lie in indicators of accuracy of content, construction of mathematical concepts or formulas, completeness of information, clarity of sound, and suitability between illustrations and material.

Abstract

Project Based Learning learning model, a learning model in the form of a project to be carried out individually or in groups and carried out within a certain period of time. The application of the PjBL learning model assisted by the GeoGebra application aims to improve students' numeracy literacy skills and students' activeness, so that students are expected to have curiosity and be able to understand quadratic function material well. This study used the class action research method (PTK) by taking research subjects class X G students of SMA N 1 Jatinom consisting of 36 students. Based on this research, it was shown that students' numeracy literacy skills experienced an increase seen from the classical average in cycle I of 51.88% increasing to 73.97% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the activeness of students began to increase as seen from the average percentage of students' activeness of 57.29% in cycle I and 72.06% in cycle II. It was concluded that in this study the application of the GeoGebra-assisted PjBL learning model in mathematics learning was able to improve the numeracy literacy skills and the activeness of class X G students of SMA N 1 Jatinom in the 2022/2023 academic year.
