Abstract

 Abstract: The objective of this research was to know the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement of quadrangle viewed from the spatial ability of the students. The learning models compared were the cooperative learning model of the TGT type with concept mapping strategy, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type, and the direct learning model. This research used the quasi experimental method. Its population was all of the students in grade VII of State Junior Secondary Schools of Pati regency in Academic Year 2013/2014. The samples of the research were taken by using the stratified cluster random sampling technique. The samples of the research consisted of 325 students. They were grouped into three groups, namely: 109 in experimental group 1, 110 in experimental group 2, and 106 in control group. The instruments to gather the data were test of achievement on the learning topic of quadrangle, and test of spatial ability. The proposed hypotheses of the research were analyzed by using the two way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The results of the research were as follows. (1) The cooperative learning model of the TGT type with concept mapping strategy results in a better learning achievement than the cooperative learning model of the TGT type and the direct learning model, but the cooperative learning model of the TGT type results in the same learning achievement as the direct learning model. (2) The students with the high spatial ability had the same learning achievement as those with the moderate spatial ability, but the students with the high spatial ability and those with the moderate spatial ability had a better learning achievement than those with the low spatial ability. (3) In each category of the spatial abilities, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type with concept mapping strategy results in a better learning achievement than the cooperative learning model of the TGT type and the direct learning model, but the cooperative learning model of the TGT type results in the same learning achievement as the direct learning model. (4) In each of the learning models, the students with the high spatial ability had the same learning achievement as those with the moderate spatial ability, but the students with the high spatial ability and those with the moderate spatial ability had a better learning achievement than those with the low spatial ability.Keywords: TGT, concept mapping, and spatial ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to optimize the use of ms. powerPoint for the development of innovative learning media. This training was held at SMP IT Ma'arif NU, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency, Central Java Province. This service was carried out by training methods on 1) making simple objects that can move automatically, 2) making countdowns, 3) making attractive template designs without downloading from the internet, and 4) making interactive practice questions. During the evaluation, participants were able to optimize Ms. PowerPoint for developing learning media.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify whether there is a positive correlation between cognitive style and students’ learning achievement on geometry subject. The research is classified as correlational quantitative research. The population of the research is all students of mathematics education program at Widya Dharma University in the academic year of 2015/2016. The sample is the students in semester IV B. It was taken by cluster random sampling. The instrument is a psychiatric test, GEFT and learning achievement test. The technique of data analysis is simple linear regression analysis. The result of the research is there is a positive correlation between cognitive style and students’ learning achievement on geometry subject. The coefficient determination is r2 = 0.6209. It means the increase and decrease of students’ learning result on geometry subject 62.09% can be explained by cognitive style with linear correlation equation  Ŷ= -2.9650 + 4.6513X. Meanwhile, 37.91% is influenced by another factor. 13 out of 17 samples are categorized as students FD and 4 students are classified as FI. The mean score of students FD is 16 while students FI is 59.5385. It means students FI has better learning achievement than students FD on geometry subject.

Abstract

Graph class which has the characteristic of odd harmonious labeling is called as odd harmonious graph. Net graph is a graph which is gained by using operation Cartesian product of two line graphs. The construction of snake-net graph is inspired by the definition of snake graph replacing the round graph to net graph. In this paper, the study will show that snake-net graph fulfill the characteristic of odd harmonious graph in such a way snake-net graph is the odd harmonious graph. In the end of this paper, it is also shown that the union of snake-net graph is also called as the odd harmonious graph.

Abstract

Siswa yang berpikir kritisnya mumpuni dapat mengambil suatu keputusan secara analitik, membangun kebiasaan yang tidak mudah langsung percaya terhadap suatu informasi yang beredar, dan mampu memecahkan permasalahan sehari-hari dengan berbagai cara yang berbeda. Agar didalam diri siswa terbangun kemampuan berpikir kritis, pembelajaran matematika harus dilaksanakan secara tepat misalnya dengan mengembangkan pembelajaran mPBL pada flipped classroom. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sistematik literatur review untuk mengkaji tantangan model pembelajaran mPBL pada flipped classroom dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pengumpulan artikel sebanyak 30 artikel pada jurnal nasional maupun internasional yang dicari melalui mesin pencarian google scholar serta scimago jr. Berdasarkan literatur yang dianalisis memberikan simpulan bahwa : (1) implementasi pembelajaran matematika dengan mPBL pada flipped classroom dapat membangun ketrampilan berpikir kritis siswa, dan (2) aspek akses jaringan internet, kepemilikan telepon seluler yang kompatibel, kompetensi guru dalam penguasaan teknologi komputer, inovasi guru dalam menyajikan pembelajaran melalui platform/LMS, pengembangan sumber belajar, alat ukur, dan buku kerja monitoring menjadi tantangan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran mPBL pada flipped classroom untuk membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of understanding of prospective mathematics teachers on line and angle material and their causes. This research is a case study. Subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique. This research instrument is an understanding test and interview guidelines. Method triangulation techniques are used to compare the results of understanding tests with interviews. Data analysis for understanding test results using a percentage level of understanding formula. Data analysis for interview results is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the level of achievement of the six aspects of understanding was less than 30%. The conclusions of this study are the level of understanding of prospective mathematics teachers in the material line and angle is still low.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih guru-guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Klaten supaya dapat membuat dan mengembangkan video pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif dan konstruktif. Tim pengabdian mengajak kerja sama MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Klaten untuk melaksanakan kegiatan ini. Berdasarkan hasil suvei awal diperoleh bahwa masih sedikit guru matematika yang belum memanfaatkan dan mengembangkan video pembelajaran sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan konstruktif. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dan secara online melalui aplikasi Google Meet. Pertemuan I dilaksanakan secara tatap muka pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2020 di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Widya Dharma Klaten. Pertemuan II, III dan IV dilaksanakan secara online pada 12, 19 dan 26 Agustus 2020. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah peserta dapat membuat dan mengembangkan video pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif dan konstruktif.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiagnosis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom dan alternatif pemecahannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Peneliti mengambil tiga subjek untuk diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis kesulitan yaitu: 1). Pada tingkat pemahaman, mahasiswa kesulitan memahami konsep tinggi dan alas jajargenjang. Alternatif pemecahannya dengan menggunakan model penilaian Assessment for Learning (AfL); 2). Pada tingkat penerapan, mahasiswa kesulitan menerapkan konsep kesebangunan bangun datar untuk menyelesaikan soal. Alternatif pemecahannya dengan model penilaian Assessment for Learning (AfL); 3). Pada tingkat analisis, mahasiswa kesulitan membuktikan rumus luas daerah segitiga dengan menggunakan pendekatan luas daerah jajargenjang. Alternatif penyelesaiannya dengan pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL); 4). Pada tingkat evaluasi, mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memberikan penilaian terhadap suatu permasalahan disertai dengan alasan yang logis. Alternatif pemecahannya adalah dengan pembelajaran yang menggunakan model penilaian peer-assesment. [English]: This study aims to diagnose undergraduate student’s difficulties in solving geometry problems based on Bloom's Taxonomy and find alternative solutions. This study is a descriptive study using qualitative approach. Data collection is conducted through test and interview. The subject of this study is 3 students. There are four difficulties found in this study, they are: 1). At the level of comprehension, the students are difficult to comprehend the concept of height and length of parallelogram. The alternative solution is to apply Assessment for Learning (AfL) model; 2). At the application level, the students have difficulty in applying the congruency concept of plane to solve the problem. The alternative solution is Assessment for Learning (AfL) model; 3). At the level of analysis, the students have difficulty in proving the formula of area of a triangle using parallelogram area. The alternative solution is to apply Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL); 4.) At the evaluation level, the students have difficulty in providing assessment of a problem with a logical reason. The alternative solution is to use peer-assessment model of learning.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) menggunakan penilaian Assessment for Learning (AfL) berbantuan smartphone, disingkat PBL-AfL-S yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk mendukung implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SMA. Tahap-tahap pengembangan model PBL-AfL-S terdiri dari penelitian pendahuluan, pengembangan/prototiping, dan evaluasi. Kualitas model PBL-AfL-S mengacu pada kriteria kualitas menurut Nieveen (1999) yaitu valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model PBL-AfL-S diujicobakan di SMA Negeri 3 Klaten dalam dua tahap uji coba. Uji coba tahap I dilaksanakan di kelas XI-IPA 6 dan uji coba tahap II dilaksanakan di kelas XI-IPA 7. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari: 1) Instrumen penilaian kevalidan komponen model dan perangkat pendukung pembelajaran, 2) Instrumen kepraktisan aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan 3) Instrumen keefektifan yang meliputi angket penilaian diri, lembar penilaian proyek, tes prestasi belajar, dan lembar respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model PBL-AfL-S dan perangkat pembelajarannya telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran; Masalah; Asesmen; Smartphone [English]: This study aims to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using Assessment for Learning (AFL) with smartphone, abbreviated as PBL-AfL-S as valid, practical and effective to support the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in High School. The stages of developing the PBL-AfL-S model consist of preliminary research, development or prototyping, and evaluation. The quality criteria of PBL-AfL-S refer to Nieveen (1999), i.e. valid, practical, and effective. The PBL-AfL-S model was piloted in SMA Negeri 3 Klaten in two phases. Tryout 1 was conducted in class XI-IPA 6 and tryout 2 was in class XI-IPA 7. The research instruments consist of: 1) The validity instrument of the model and its learning support tools, 2) the practicality of the teacher’s and students’ activity, and 3) The effectiveness instruments including self-assessment questionnaires, project appraisal sheets, achievement tests, and student response sheets. The results show that the PBL-AfL-S model and learning tools have met the valid, practical and effective criteria. Keywords: Problem based Learning, Assessment; Smartphone

Abstract

The purpose of this dedication activity is to provide training so that teachers can use the Anbuso, ZipGrade, and Google Forms applications to carry out learning assessments in the 2013 curriculum. This training held in collaboration with the District Nahdlatul Ulama (Pergunu) Teachers Association in Klaten and Widya Dharma University. The trainees were teachers from the Klaten Pergunu members from MI, MtS, and MA levels, with a large number of participants being 56. The training was held face-to-face on 28-29 August 2019 at MA Al Manshur and held online on 7, 14, 21 September 2019. The results are AnBuso, ZipGrade, and Google Forms applications are practical, simple, fast. Secure applications to apply for learning assessment in the digital age.
