Abstract

Meanwhile, the study entitled Correlation Analysis Between Watering Interval, Stem Height, Stem Diameter and Number of Leaves in Jackfruit Seedlings (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk) is guided by the amount of watering of 100 ml which is based on the recommendation for the use of the best liquid fertilizer from the research of Mamik et al., (2020). The research will be carried out in the closed room experimental garden of the Plantation Management Study Program, Politeknik Indonesia Venezuela located in Cot Suruy Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, from May 2024 to July 2024. The temperature in the experimental garden is set at 25oC – 28oC. To see the correlation analysis between the Watering Interval, Stem Height, Stem Diameter, and Number of Leaves in Jackfruit Seedlings (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk) bivariate correlation analysis was used. There is a relationship between plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves. There is no relationship between the length of the watering interval and the variables of plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves. Table 6 shows that there are no variables that are strongly related and have a significant effect on the watering interval, plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves. The decreasing amount of water causes plants to be unable to grow normally.

Abstract

Aloe vera gel contains various secondary metabolites that contribute to the plant’s beneficial properties. This study employed a correlation analysis test to investigate the relationship between Aloe vera LOF dosage and S.H, S.D, and NL in Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). This study was conducted in a controlled experimental garden managed by the Plantation Management Study Program at the Politeknik Indonesia Venezuela, located in Cot Suruy Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The study was conducted from March to July 2025. The garden temperature was maintained between 25°C and 28°C. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 25 software. To see the correlation analysis between LOF, SH, SD, and NL in Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), a bivariate CA was used. The use of Aloe vera LOF at various doses (100–400 ml) was proven to have a significant effect on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings, especially on PH, SD, and NL. Aloe vera LOF, as a natural leaf fertiliser, can provide a significant positive effect on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings by increasing the height, diameter, and NL simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth and yield response of soybean plants to the composition of the planting medium and the application of liquid organic fertilizer, as well as the interaction between these two factors. The study was conducted in Neuheun Village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province, from July to September 2024, at an altitude of approximately 9.7 meters above sea level. The materials used included manure, burnt rice husks, compost, liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), Anjasmoro variety soybean seeds, and 40 cm x 50 cm polybags. The tools used included hoes, soil sieves, watering cans, hand sprayers, stationery, scales, calipers, and meters. The study found that the composition of the planting medium had a highly significant effect on plant height at 25, 35, and 45 days after planting. Still, they had no significant effect on stem diameter at 25, 35, and 45 days after planting. The composition of the planting medium had a significant impact on the number of productive branches at 35 days after planting, but had no significant effect on the number of productive branches at 25 and 45 days after planting, or on the weight of 100 dry seeds per plant. Liquid organic fertilizer had a highly significant effect on plant height at 35 DAP and a substantial impact at 25 and 45 DAP. However, liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on stem diameter, the number of productive branches at 25, 35, and 45 days after planting, or the weight of 100 dry seeds per plant.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide farmers with an understanding of the benefits and principles of using liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) to increase potato productivity and maintain soil fertility, improve farmers’ skills in making and applying LOF independently by utilizing local organic materials, and encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly technology in potato cultivation systems in the highlands of Aceh Tengah. Socialisation and Training were carried out in Jagong Jeget District, Central Aceh Regency, from July 8 to 10, 2025. The potato cultivation land belongs to a local farmer group (selected together with field agricultural extension workers). The results of the Community Service activity include increased farmer knowledge, improved practical skills in making LOF, greater adoption of technology, and greater environmental awareness. This socialisation activity successfully expanded potato farmers’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of LOF. The participatory and demonstrative methods used in the activity have proven effective in transferring appropriate technology to the farming community.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the optimal doses of coffee grounds and KCl fertilizer, as well as their interaction effects, on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium cepa L.). The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a 4 × 3 factorial arrangement and three replications. The first factor was the dose of coffee grounds (A0= 0 ton ha⁻¹, A1= 2 ton ha⁻¹, A2= 4 ton ha⁻¹, and A3= 6 ton ha⁻¹), and the second factor was the dose of KCl fertilizer (K1= 100 kg ha⁻¹, K2= 200 kg ha⁻¹, and K3= 300 kg ha⁻¹). The observed parameters included plant height and number of tillers per clump at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting (DAP), as well as fresh tuber weight, number of tubers, and dry tuber weight per clump. The results showed that the application of coffee grounds had a highly significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, fresh tuber weight, and dry tuber weight per clump, and a significant effect on the number of tubers per clump. The application of KCl fertilizer had a highly significant effect on plant height at 15 and 30 DAP and on the number of tillers at 30 DAP, but had no significant effect on plant height at 45 DAP, the number of tillers at 15 and 45 DAP, or tuber-related parameters. A significant interaction between coffee grounds and KCl fertilizer was observed for plant height at 15 DAP and for the number of tillers at 30 and 45 DAP. These findings suggest that the combination of coffee grounds and KCl fertilizer can improve vegetative growth and yield performance of shallots, highlighting the potential of organic–inorganic nutrient integration for sustainable crop production.Keywords: Coffee Grounds, Potassium Chloride (KCl), Shallot (Allium cepa L.), Plant Growth, Yield
