Abstract

Pump that operates automatically by relying on natural power from water without using great cost and trouble by pumping hydram. Hydram pumps are one of the types of pumps that are driven by kinetic power, it was discovered by a 1796 Montgolfier in Italy. The purpose is to determine the most optimal water speed of the hydram pump by using different numbers of pressure tubes and several check valves. This research uses a factorial Randomised Group Design (RGD) method. The first treatment is valve variation and the second is variation in the number of tubes. The results showed that the average river water flow velocity was 0.154 meters/second with an average water discharge of 2.61 m3/second under normal flow conditions. The average water flow in the intake pipe is 0.717 meters / second and the volume of water in the pipe is 15.19 liters with an average water discharge entering the intake pipe is 10.804 m3 / second. A combination of three valves and three tube treatments consistently produces greater water discharge than other combinations. The highest efficiency of the hydram pump is found in the combination of three checks.

Abstract

Aloe vera gel contains various secondary metabolites that contribute to the plant’s beneficial properties. This study employed a correlation analysis test to investigate the relationship between Aloe vera LOF dosage and S.H, S.D, and NL in Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). This study was conducted in a controlled experimental garden managed by the Plantation Management Study Program at the Politeknik Indonesia Venezuela, located in Cot Suruy Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The study was conducted from March to July 2025. The garden temperature was maintained between 25°C and 28°C. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 25 software. To see the correlation analysis between LOF, SH, SD, and NL in Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), a bivariate CA was used. The use of Aloe vera LOF at various doses (100–400 ml) was proven to have a significant effect on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings, especially on PH, SD, and NL. Aloe vera LOF, as a natural leaf fertiliser, can provide a significant positive effect on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings by increasing the height, diameter, and NL simultaneously.

Abstract

Patchouli farming is an important source of rural income in West Aceh. However, farmers still faceunstable earnings due to differences in cultivated land area, selling price, production costs, and production volume. This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting the income of patchouli farmers in the West Woyla and Woyla Districts of West Aceh Regency. A quantitative field-study approach was used. Primary data were collected through observation, interviews, and structured questionnaires involving 27 patchouli farmers selected using saturated sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, with farmer income as the dependent variable and land area, selling price, farming cost, production volume, farming experience, and education as independent variables. The results showed that the regression model explained 87.9% of the variation in farmer income. Simultaneously, the six independent variables significantly affected income (F = 32.595; p = 0.000). Partially, land area, selling price, and production volume had positive and significant effects on income, whereas farming cost had a negative and significant effect. Farming experience and education did not significantly affect income. These findings indicate that increasing patchouli farmers' income should prioritize productive land use, production improvements, cost efficiency, and stronger price management, rather than relying solely on farming experience or formal education.
