Abstract

Superior varieties and cropping systems are very influential on rice production. The use of cropping systems is used to obtain optimal plant growth and to increase farmers' yields and income. This study aimed to determine the effect of the tegel planting system on agronomic performance and the feasibility of farming on several high-yielding rice varieties in Ajee Rayeuk Village, Ingin Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar. The sampling method was carried out experimentally and field surveys using a randomized block design (RBD) with 3 replications per variety, one variety contained 9 samples, the varieties used were Ciherang, Siliwangi, Suluttan. The parameters observed in this study were agronomic performance parameters. in the form of plant height, number of tillers, weight of grain per clump, weight of 1000 grains, weight of empty grain and weight of filled grain. Farming analysis parameters include income and production costs. Observational data were analyzed using ANOVA analysis and farming analysis. The results showed that the tegel planting system in 3 rice varieties had a significant effect on the agronomic performance of rice plants, and farming on Suluttan variety was feasible to be applied by lowland rice farmers in Ajee Rayeuk Village. Varieties had a significant effect on the agronomic performance of rice plants on the parameters of plant height and number of tillers. The best agronomic performance and farming analysis were found Suluttan  variety.

Abstract

Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis jacq) is Indonesia's main plantation crop, this plant has greater vegetable oil than other plants, the use of palm oil is in great demand in various industries such as the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, to the cosmetic industry. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of harvesting carried out in Division II Seunagan Gardens PT. Socfindo. The research was carried out in Division II Seunagan Gardens PT. Socfindo from February to May 2022. Observations made in this harvest management include, Personal protective equipment (PPE) and fresh fruit bunches (FFB) harvesting equipment, calculating harvest density figures (AKP), harvest rotation, estimation of employee usage and daily production estimation, criteria for fruit maturity level, fruit quality observation, random quality observation, determination of premium prices and the number of bases in each block. The results of observations that have been made indicate that the management of oil palm harvesting at PT. Socfindo Seunagan Gardens has been running optimally, this is shown by the very good criteria in several harvesting activities observed, such as harvest rotation, fruit quality criteria, and blok quality

Abstract

Indonesia has experienced a decline in green bean production due to unsuitable green bean cultivation and low soil fertility. However, combining NPK Mutiara and organic fertilizer made from active maja fruit containing NPK Mg and Fe can increase soil fertility and quality in an environmentally friendly way. This study aims to examine the effect of combining organic fertilizers with active ingredients of maja fruit and pearl NPK in increasing the growth of green bean varieties of VIMA-1. The research was carried out in Sukajadi Village, Perbaungan, Serdang Bedagai District, from October to December 2021 using a 2-factor RAK design where the first factor was PO application with four treatment levels, namely M0 = Control; M1 = 100ml PO: 750 ml water; M2 = 100 ml PO: 1500 ml water; M3 = 100 ml PO: 2250 ml water. Then the second factor is the dose of NPK Mutiara fertilizer where P1 = 30g/plot and P2 = 40g/plot with the number of replications 3. The results showed that the administration of PO with the active ingredient of maja fruit had an insignificant effect on all parameters observed. However, the NPK fertilizer treatment had a significant impact on diameter. Stems at treatment P1 = 30g/plot.

Abstract

Tapping panel dryness lead production dropped significantly and can speed up rejuvenation. Then the leaf fall period can also reduce the value of the production of rubber annually. Therefore, the analysis of several physiological variables is especially important with the skin rubber plant so it can be an early indicator of the healing tapping panel dryness. The research aims to analyze the physiology of the bark on the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) clones PB 260 and RRIM 921 at the time of the leaf fall period were given antidepressants. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Physiology Sungei Putih Rubber Research Centre. While hypothesis testing using T partially by using SPSS 20.0. The treatment factors were: Clones (RRIM 921 and PB 260), types of plants (healthy and tapping panel dryness), and use of formula (control and antidepresant). Parameters measured were thiol, inorganic phosphate (pi), sucrose. The results showed that the range of values Thiol bark is 0.1-0.9 mM, Pi is 4-20 mM and 24-60 mM sucrose. They are changed in accordance with the state of the plant and environmental factors.

Abstract

Research aimed to determine the effect of HCL concentration and soaking time on thebreaking of dormancy in coffee seeds (Coffea sp) and whether or not the interactionbetween the two factors was significant. This research was carried out at the Laboratory and Research Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University, Meulaboh, West Aceh from March to April 2020. The materials used in this study were Arabica coffee seeds obtained from Wih Nareh Village, Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency, a solution hydrochloric acid (HCl), aquades, sandy loam soil. The tools used in this study were 100 ml measuring cup, 40 x 60 cm plastic basket, DJ-A2000 type analytical scale, knife, 1000 ml bottle and camera. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The first factor studied was the concentration of hydrochloric acid (HCL) (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely: K0 = 0% (control), K1 = 1% (1 ml/L water), K2 = 2% (2 ml/L water ) and K3 = 3% (3 ml/L water). The second factor is the immersion time (L) consisting of 3 levels, namely: L1 = 7 hours, L2 = 14 hours and L3 = 21 hours. The parameters studied were growth potential, germination capacity, growth speed, growth synchronously and dormancy intensity. The results showed that the concentration of hydrochloric acid (HCl) had a very significant effect on the germination and growth rate of coffee seeds. However, it did not have a significant effect on growth potential, simultaneous growth, and dormancy intensity. The immersion time did not significantly affect the growth potential, germination rate, growth speed, growth synchronously, and the intensity of dormancy of coffee seeds. There was no interaction between HCL concentration and immersion time on all observed variables..Keywords: Concentration of HCl, Soaking Time, Coffee Seeds

Abstract

Penyuluhan pertanian adalah proses pendidikan dengan sistem pendidikan nonformal untuk mengubah perilaku orang dewasa agar memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap yang lebih baik, sehingga sasaran dapat memilih dan mengambil keputusan dari berbagai alternatif pengetahuan yang ada untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraannya. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dari kegiatan penyuluhan dan guna mengembangkan peran serta petani dalam pembangunan pertanian, maka perlu dilakukan pembinaan terhadap kelompok tani yang terbentuk sehingga nantinya kelompok tani tersebut akan mampu untuk tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi kekuatan ekonomi yang memadai dan selanjutnya akan mampu menopang kesejahteraan anggotanya. Penyuluh pertanian di daerah penelitian masih tergolong sedang, sehingga masih perlu ditingkatkan agar dapat memberdayakan petani. Perkembangan kelompok tani dapat meningkatkan produktivitas padi sawah. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemahaman dan pengembangan peran penyuluh pertanian, perkembangan kelompok tani, dan peningkatan produktivitas padi sawah. Kontribusi ini dapat membantu meningkatkan efektivitas upaya pembangunan pertanian dan peningkatan kesejahteraan petani.

Abstract

Asap cair menjadi produk yang dibuat dari kondensasi asap tempurung kelapa melewati proses pirolisis. Hasil dekomposisi dari Asap cair yakni hemiselulosa, selulosa dan lignin diproses dari pirolisis. Air dihilangkan dari kayu pada suhu 120-150 °C, pirolisa lignin pada suhu 400 °C, pirolisa selulosa pada suhu 280-320 °C, pirolisa hemiselulosa pada suhu 200-250°C. Proses Pirolisa pada suhu 400 °C ini dapat membuat senyawa yang memiliki kualitas organoleptik yang tinggi dan pada suhu lebih tinggi lagi dapat terjadi reaksi kondensasi terbentuk senyawa baru dan oksidasi produk kondensasi diikuti kenaikan linier senyawa dan hidrokarbon polisiklis aromatis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai dampak dari penggunaan smoke liquid bagi petani terutama untuk tanaman kedelai sehingga dapat menurunkan serangan hama di tanaman kedelai. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra terhadap pemanfaatan smoke liquid sebesar 50%. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tahap perencanaan terlebih dahulu, selanjutnya pada tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan melakukan sosialisasi materi dampak smoke liquid sebagai bio-insektisida melakukan sosialisasi materi manfaat penggunaan smoke liquid dan memberikan pelatihan cara Pembuatan smoke liquid serta mengaplikasikannya ke tanaman kedelai.

Abstract

Background: The aim of this community development initiative, centered around community engagement, is to address the pressing issue of declining agricultural productivity due to pest infestations in the Asahan Regency, a developing area. Through educational and training programs, the initiative seeks to advocate for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices and safe pesticide usage among farmers, while also addressing the environmental impacts of chemical pesticide use. Contribution: The primary focus is to gauge the impact of these initiatives in fostering sustainable and environmentally responsible agricultural practices in Asahan Regency, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being of the farming community. Method: A total of 50 farmers actively participated in these programs, all of whom derived substantial benefits that directly contributed to the improvement of their livelihoods. Results: The implementation of IPM with a community development approach has the potential to significantly enhance paddy rice productivity while promoting sustainable agriculture Conclusion: By involving the local community, improving pest control methods, reducing environmental impact, and fostering knowledge sharing, this approach can lead to positive outcomes for both farmers and the environment

Abstract

Education activities on water management and peatland utilization were carried out in Kuta Padang Villages, Bubon Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. Involving 20 participants, including village officials, this water management education emphasized the importance of peat rewetting (Rewetting) and canal closure as the main strategies in addressing degradation and the risk of peatland fires. Through the Focused Group Discussion (FGD) method, participants were taught about fluctuations in groundwater levels, the identification of canal blocking construction, and the utilization of peatlands for agriculture. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the impact of peatland ecosystem damage and its connection to land fires. Education also discussed fluctuations in groundwater levels as a crucial element in water management, providing a better understanding of groundwater dynamics in peatlands. The selection of efficient food and horticultural crops for shallow peatlands became a focus in land utilization for agriculture.

Abstract

Sistem penanaman tumpang sari memanfaatkan keunggulan komplementer dari berbagai jenis tanaman untuk mewujudkan peningkatan produktivitas yang berkelanjutan. Hal ini diketahui berhasil meningkatkan hasil panen dalam area tanam tertentu, sambil mengurangi penggunaan bahan-bahan kimiawi. Dengan pendekatan ini, tanaman yang ditanam bersama saling mendukung pertumbuhan satu sama lain, menciptakan sistem pertanian yang lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Pola tanam tumpang sari pada jagung dan kedelai telah menunjukkan potensi sebagai praktik pertanian yang efisien dalam penggunaan lahan dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan karakter morfologi jagung terhadap tumoangsari dengan kedelai dan aplikasi dosis pupuk. Penelitian dilakukan di Alue Peunyareng, Kecamatan Meureubo, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor, yaitu varietas (4 taraf) yaitu V1 (Bonanza + Detap-1), V2 (Exotic + Detap-1), V3 (Bonanza + Grobogan), V4 (Exotic + Grobogan). Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk (5 taraf) yaitu D1 : 100% rekomendasi: (Jagung: 300 kg ha-1 Urea + 150 kg ha-1 SP36 + 50 kg ha-1 KCl); (Kedelai: 30 kg ha-1 Urea + 60 kg ha-1 SP-36 + 30 kg ha-1 KCl), D2 : 75% rekomendasi + 10 ton/ha Pupuk Organik, D3 : 50% rekomendasi + 20 ton/ha Pupuk Organik, D4 : 25% rekomendasi pupuk + 30 ton/ha Pupuk Organik dan D5 : 40 ton/ha Pupuk Organik, menghasilkan 20 kombinasi perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah karakteristik morfologi tanaman jagung. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji F, dan jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT) Tukey pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 14 dan 21 HST, diameter batang umur 14, 21, dan 28 HST. Namun varietas berpengaruh tidak nyata pada tinggi jagung di umur lainnya.
