Abstract

Abstrak - Limbah anorganik seperti logam, plastik, kaca, kertas, bahan bangunan, elektronik, karet dan sebagainya, memiliki sifat tidak mudah terurai yang menyebabkan berbagai masalah pencemaran lingkungan, termasuk pencemaran tanah dan air, bahaya bagi kehidupan laut,  serta munculnya mikroplastik yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Barokah Plastik, sebuah usaha yang bergerak dalam jual beli limbah anorganik menghadapi tantangan dalam manajemen data limbah akibat metode konvensional yang tidak efisien dan pencatatan manual yang memperlambat pembuatan laporan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi jual beli limbah anorganik berbasis android untuk meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen, memfasilitasi transaksi, dan memperluas akses jual beli limbah anorganik. Metode penelitian mencakup analisis sistem menggunakan diagram use case untuk menggambarkan sistem yang berjalan dan yang diusulkan, serta perancangan komponen sistem informasi berbasis android dengan pemrograman PHP dan Java, serta manajemen database MySQL. Hasil penelitian dengan teknik pengujian black box menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi jual beli limbah anorganik berbasis android ini berfungsi sesuai dengan harapan  dan efisien dalam memfasilitasi operasional Barokah Plastik.  Sistem ini mampu memantau dan melacak transaksi limbah anorganik, serta mempermudah admin atau karyawan Barokah Plastik dalam melakukan pengolahan data barang limbah anorganik.  Selain itu, sistem ini memberikan akses informasi yang mudah bagi pengguna  dalam melakukan jual beli limbah anorganik. Dengan demikian, sistem informasi ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan kesadaran lingkungan dalam pengelolaan limbah anorganik, baik bagi Barokah Plastik maupun pengguna.Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi, Jual Beli, Limbah Anorganik, Android, Barokah Plastik,   Abstract - Inorganic waste, e.g., metal, plastic, glass, paper, construction materials, electronics, rubber, and others, comes with a non-degradable property, breeding a range of environmental pollution issues, covering soil and water pollution, which is dangerous for marine life. Additionally, it engenders microplastics harmful to human health. Barokah Plastik, an enterprise focusing on inorganic waste sale-purchase, is confronting a challenge in waste data management as a result of inefficient conventional methods and manual recording, slowing report making. This research aims to build an android-based inorganic waste sale-purchase information system to elevate management efficiency, facilitate transaction making, and broaden access to inorganic waste sale-purchase. The methods encompassed carrying out a system analysis using a use case diagram to depict the ongoing and proposed systems and designing android-based information system components using PHP programming and JavaScript and MySQL database management. The results of the research using black-box testing demonstrated that this android-based inorganic waste sale-purchase information system functioned as desired and could facilitate the operational activities of Barokah Plastik. Besides, it could monitor and track inorganic waste transactions and allow the administrative staff or employees of Barokah Plastik to process data on inorganic waste goods easily. Additionally, it provided easy access to information for users when making inorganic waste sale-purchase transactions. This information system could hence improve the efficiency, transparency, and environmental awareness in managing inorganic waste for Barokah Plastik and its users. Abstract

Lonuo Village is located in Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo. Kasubi crackers are a typical snack produced by one of the Lonuo Bukit Arang Kasubi Crackers UKMs. Kasubi crackers are made from cassava, tapioca flour, baking soda, and brown sugar, while other production requirements are cooking oil, LPG gas, gasoline, firewood, raffia rope, and plastic packaging. Meanwhile, other supporting tools in the kasubi cracker production process are plastic plates, steamer frames, steaming pans, molding tanks, sweet potato grinding machines, and para-paras as attachments for manual drying. The manual drying place used by IKM consists of 3 bamboo-based lamps measuring 7 x 13 meters for the entire cracker drying place. The drying process using bamboo sheets has many disadvantages, including drying time which takes 4 to 5 drying hours in sunny weather, unpredictable weather, less hygienic, and tends to be contaminated with bacteria because the location of the IKM is opposite the location of the Final Processing Site (TPA) for waste disposal. Bone Bolango Regency. The Kasubi Lonuo Bukit Arang cracker IKM was established in 2000 and has been continued by Santian Pillow since 2020. This IKM has more than 6 (six) permanent and non-permanent employees with daily raw material production of 1 () sack of cassava Working time from grating the coconut to drying takes 8 to 9 hours, namely from 08.00 to 15.00 WITA with the resulting cracker output being 2448 crackers per day and packaged in one hanging containing 10 crackers and priced at IDR. 11,000 per hanging. The method used in this activity is the preparation stage, implementation of activities, and program sustainability plans. The alternative drying tool that will be socialized in this activity is a greenhouse drying tool in the form of a rectangular prism with the help of energy from sunlight. While serving this community group, the service team packages activities from lecture presentations on introducing tools, questions, and answers, how to make tools, how to use tools, and how to maintain tools. From the results of this activity, it was agreed that the next activity would focus more on making cracker products using biomass stoves or stoves fueled by used oil and greenhouse effect dryers.

Abstract

Car price prediction is a major challenge in the automotive industry because it is influenced by various factors, such as technical specifications, fuel type, and transmission system. This research aims to evaluate and compare the performance of linear regression models and ensemble learning methods, namely Random Forest and Gradient Boosting, in predicting car prices. The dataset used comes from Kaggle, with 11,914 rows of data and 16 features. The research process includes the stages of data understanding, data preparation, modeling, and evaluation using the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and R-squared (R²) metrics. The research results show that the Gradient Boosting model has the best performance, with an R² value of 0.963868 and the lowest MSE compared to other models, followed by Random Forest with an R² of 0.899657. In contrast, linear regression showed lower performance, with an R² of 0.417905, indicating its limitations in handling non-linear relationships in the data. The prediction results from the best model show price estimates that are quite close to actual prices, although some improvements still need to be made through hyperparameter optimization. This research confirms that ensemble learning methods, especially Gradient Boosting, provide a more effective approach to predicting car prices than linear regression. This model has the potential to be applied in the automotive industry to improve the accuracy of vehicle price estimates for manufacturers, dealers, and consumers.

Abstract

The mola-mola fish (Mola spp.), or ocean sunfish, is the largest bony fish species in the world, playing a crucial role in marine ecosystems and holding high economic value as an underwater tourism attraction. However, this species faces various threats, such as bycatch, marine pollution, and climate change, which affect its distribution and reproduction. This study aims to analyze public perceptions of mola-mola conservation through a review of literature and social media data. The study involved an analysis of scientific literature using VOSviewer and the collection of social media data, particularly on TikTok, using a web scraper. Sentiment analysis was performed using a machine learning method based on Support Vector Machine (SVM). The results indicate that public perception is dominated by positive sentiment (45%) regarding the unique appeal of mola-mola, although negative sentiment (30%) persists due to a lack of public knowledge about the importance of conservation. This study highlights the need for sustainable habitat management and community-based collaboration to increase conservation awareness. The findings emphasize that public education and collaboration between the government, scientists, and local communities are essential to reduce threats to mola-mola, including the impacts of climate change and illegal fishing. This research underscores that community-based strategies and multidisciplinary approaches can enhance the effectiveness of mola-mola conservation and ensure the sustainability of marine ecosystems in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi nilai ekonomi jasa ekosistem kawasan perairan Teluk Tomini Desa Lamu, Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai, Kabupaten Gorontalo, yang berperan penting dalam mendukung kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal dan pelestarian lingkungan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Total Economic Value (TEV) , yang mencakup jasa penyedia, jasa pendukung, jasa budaya, dan nilai keanekaragaman hayati. Data diperoleh melalui survei langsung dengan metode Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) untuk analisis kesediaan membayar ( Willingness to Pay/WTP ) dan metode Travel Cost Method (TCM) untuk penilaian jasa kultural, serta data sekunder dari dokumen resmi dan studi sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total nilai ekonomi kawasan mencapai Rp. 137.642.538,40 per tahun, yang didominasi oleh kontribusi jasa pendukung (33,88%), diikuti oleh jasa kultural (33,16%) dan jasa penyedia (32,96%) . Ekosistem mangrove berperan penting dalam menyediakan manfaat ekologi dan ekonomi, seperti tempat pembiakan, pencarian makan biota laut, dan potensi wisata berbasis alam. Kesimpulannya, perlindungan dan pengelolaan berbasis konservasi perlu diperkuat melalui pelibatan aktif masyarakat lokal dan integrasi nilai jasa ekosistem ke dalam kebijakan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan strategi untuk mendukung keseimbangan ekonomi dan ekologi di kawasan perairan kawasan perairan Teluk Tomini Desa Lamu.

Abstract

Festival Sejuta Cumi di Desa Langgula, Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai, merupakan manifestasi modal sosial dalam mendukung pelestarian jasa ekosistem ikan cumi di Teluk Tomini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran nilai gotong royong, norma adat, dan etika tradisional dalam memperkuat keberlanjutan ekosistem dan hubungan sosial. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial masyarakat, yang terdiri dari partisipasi kolektif, kepatuhan terhadap tradisi, dan penghormatan budaya lokal, berkontribusi signifikan dalam menjaga ekosistem laut. Sebanyak 82% responden menyatakan festival ini meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis mereka, sementara 76% menyatakan hubungan sosial menjadi lebih erat, dan 65% merasakan dampak positif pada ekonomi lokal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Festival Sejuta Cumi tidak hanya menjadi alat budaya, tetapi juga media edukasi lingkungan yang efektif. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya sinergi antara tradisi lokal dan kebijakan modern untuk mencapai pelestarian ekosistem yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Eksistem mangrove merupakan ekosistem yang banyak memiliki fungsi ekologi bagi wilayah pesisir, keragaman jenis mangrove menandakan bahwa ekosistem ini sangat perlu untuk dijaga dan dilestarikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat struktur komunitas mangrove di Kecamatan Biluhu, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian ini adalah survey dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu metode pengumpulan data secara langsung. Hasil penelitian Jenis mangrove yang ditemukan pada lokasi penelitian Kecamatan Biluhu, Kabupaten Gorontalo yakti terdiri dari 7 spesies yaitu Sonneratia alba, Avicennia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizhopora apiculata, Ceriops tagal, Calotropis gigantea dan Cerbera manghas. Dari ketujuh jenis mangrove diatas terdiri dari 5 spesies mangrove sejati dan 2 spesies mangrove asosiasi. Indeks keanekaragaman jenis pada lokasi penelitian menunjukkan keanekaragaman sedang (H’ < 3) berdasarkan kriteria indeks keanekaragaman jenis dimana pada stasiun I yakni 1,01 dan pada stasiun II yakni 1,45. Indeks kekayaaan jenis di lokasi penelitian yaitu pada stasiun I yakni DMg = 0,72 dan stasiun II yakni DMg = 1,19, dengan kriteria indeks kekayaan jenis dikedua lokasi penelitian yakni masuk dalam kategori kekayaan jenis rendah, karena nilai DMg lebih kecil dari 3,5. Indeks kemerataan jenis di lokasi penelitian yaitu pada stasiun I yakni E = 1 dan stasiun II yakni E = 0,90. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem mangrove di Kecamatan Biluhu masih terjaga dengan baik.

Abstract

Housing development in Gorontalo City is targeted merely to meet the need for a home but has no security concerns for the homeowners; even some houses are not equipped with security guards, making fires and thefts possible to occur. Considering the issues, we propose the application of an Arduino and Android microcontroller-based security system using Wemos D1 as a smartphone communication intermediary with devices integrated into the system using an MQ2 gas sensor, PIR (Passive Infrared) motion sensor, water level sensor, DHT11 temperature sensor, face recognition with ESP32cam, RFID as a replacement for door locks, and light control using relays. Our product allows users to control home devices and monitor any activities inside their homes remotely. Notifications will be sent if any sign of fire is detected, and an option to call on firefighters if the fire point is identifiable will be offered. In the case of an encounter with criminal acts, users will be sent a screenshot of the intruders and offered an option to file reports to the police.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang besar, namun pemanfaatannya secara optimal memerlukan keseimbangan antara volume produksi ikan dan jumlah armada penangkap yang tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh jumlah produksi ikan terhadap jumlah armada kapal penangkap dengan pendekatan regresi linier sederhana. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder mencakup informasi dari Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Kutaraja, Banda Aceh, dalam rentang waktu 2016 hingga 2020. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah produksi ikan (ton), sedangkan variabel terikat adalah jumlah armada kapal (unit). Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan linier yang sangat kuat antara kedua variabel, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,9156 dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,8386. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh menunjukkan kenaikan produksi ikan sebesar 1 ton akan meningkatkan jumlah armada kapal sebesar 0,0066 unit. Nilai signifikansi model sebesar 0,0289 menunjukkan bahwa model regresi ini signifikan secara statistik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa jumlah produksi ikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap kebutuhan armada kapal, dan model yang dibangun dapat digunakan sebagai dasar prediktif dalam perencanaan kebijakan sektor perikanan tangkap.

Abstract

Homocentric ethics place humans at the center of moral value, where the utilization of natural resources is often viewed solely from the perspective of human interests. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the principles of homocentric ethics are reflected in the behavior of the fishing community in Langgula Village, Batudaa Pantai District, as well as to evaluate their knowledge and awareness regarding coastal environmental conservation efforts. The research uses a mixed-method approach, including literature review, field interviews, and data visualization analysis using VOSviewer. The results show that the community has a fairly high ecological awareness, as seen through the determination of fishing seasons, coral reef preservation, and the use of local technologies such as squid attractors and bioreeftek to support sustainable aquaculture. The literature analysis also reveals that environmental ethics topics are often associated with issues of humanity, technology, and sustainable development. These findings indicate that community practices are not entirely based on homocentric principles but have shown a tendency toward ecocentric ethics. This study recommends a community-based approach in conservation planning and emphasizes the importance of integrating local and scientific knowledge as a foundation for sustainable coastal environmental policy
