Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of audio visual learning media towards basketball shooting outcomes among students at SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten. Using a quantitative experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design, the study involved 32 students, divided into an experimental group and control group. The experimental group received audio visual learning media containing basketball shooting techniques, while the control group received traditional learning methods. Data was collected through a basketball shooting test, conducted at a 4 meter distance with 10 shooting attempts. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity test, and an Independent t-test. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group, with the pre-test average score of 3.36 and post-test average score of 7.00. In contrast, the control group showed a less significant improvement, with a pre-test average score of 3.25 and a post-test average score 4.56. The Independent t-test showed a significant difference in the shooting results between the experimental and control groups (Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05). This indicates that audio visual learning media had a positive effect on improving basketball shooting outcomes. It is concluded that audio visual learning media can significantly enhance basketball shooting skill in students at SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of Tai Chi Quan training on the performance of Indonesia's junior table tennis athletes. A total of 20 Indonesia junior table tennis athletes aged 14-18 years were put into an experimental group with taichiquan training. The group that received Tai Chi Quan training was trained for 60 minutes, while the control group continued to practice table tennis as usual. Changes in body conditions such as blood pressure, heart rate, changes in anxiety, feelings of confidence, and performance in playing table tennis are measured before and after training. The results of this study were that there was a change in anxiety level at the test point in the tai chi quan group after exercise, while in the control group there was no increase. There were changes that occurred after the exercise treatment, namely cognitive anxiety (x=-1.85; -18.60%), while in the control group (x=- 0.21; -2.31%). In addition, somatic anxiety (x=-3.35; -27.56%). The self-confidence component was negatively correlated with other variables, where in the tai chi quan group the value increased (x=1.96; 11.27%) while in the control group it decreased (x=-0.27; -1.67%). The conclusion of this study is that sixty minutes of tai chi quan training can reduce the anxiety level of Indonesia's junior table tennis athletes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an android-based physical fitness test measurement application to facilitate PE teachers in implementing and managing the results of students' physical fitness tests effectively and efficiently in the Elementary School Teacher Working Group and the Subject Teacher Meeting of Junior High School Tanjung Redeb District, Berau Regency. The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) Borg and Gall model which is modified into three stages including preliminary study, product development, and experiment with physical education teacher research subjects and selected students. The research instrument was in the form of an expert validation questionnaire using a likert scale with a value range of 1-4, while the data analysis used descriptive statistics and a T-test test to measure the effectiveness of implementation. The results of expert validation showed a very high feasibility rate with a percentage of 91%-100%, small group trials obtained 82%, and large group trials reached 87% for the elementary level and 88% for the junior high school level. The implementation of the application through pretest and posttest resulted in an increase in the physical fitness category of students from less to less at the elementary level, and from less to moderate at the junior high school level in a span of two weeks. The conclusion of this study shows that the TESPEN TKJI application is feasible and effective in increasing teachers' understanding of physical fitness tests, facilitating the assessment process through automating calculations and structured databases, and providing a positive influence on improving students' physical fitness through continuous monitoring of development.
