Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the group investigation cooperative learning model assisted by audio visual aids on the motivation and learning outcomes of class X SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in class X of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The research design used was quasi-experimental, using the matching only pretest posttest control design. The research sample was class X students with 36 experimental and 36 control classes respectively taken by Simple Random Sampling. Data collection was carried out through pretest, posttest and observation sheets. Based on the research results obtained for the learning motivation questionnaire value in the control class was 2.48 with a percentage value of 62.10% in the medium category, while for the learning motivation questionnaire value in the experimental class given the treatment of cooperative learning model group investigation type of 2,97 with a percentage value of 74.47% in the high category. Based on these categories, there was an increase in learning motivation in the experimental class which was given treatment with the group investigation type cooperative learning model assisted by audio-visual aids. For the mean N-Gain in the control class 0.29 (low), while in the experimental class 0.52 (moderate). On the results of the N-Gain t-test the value of Sig. (2-tailed) Equal variances not assumed on the output of the Independent sample test value is 0.000 <0.05 then reject Ho which means that there is a significant difference between the N-Gain control class which is given treatment with conventional learning and the experimental class which is given treatment with cooperative learning model with the type of group investigation assisted by audio visual which shows an increase in learning outcomes. Thus learning using the cooperative learning model type group investigation assisted by audio visual aids in virus material affects the motivation and learning outcomes of class X SMAN 3 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

According to data from the 2019 IUCN Red List, the Aquilaria malaccensis species is included in the "Critically Endangered" category and the Castanopsis argentea species is included in the "Endangered" category. This study aims to determine the comparison of abundance and associations of Aquilaria malaccensis Lam. and Castanopsis argentea (Blume) A.DC. in Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park, Riau Province. Data collection is carried out by making observation plots. In this research, an observation plot will be made measuring 20 m x 20 m to analyze tree vegetation. The research plot was determined deliberately (purposive sampling) and measurements were carried out in places where there were Aquilaria malaccensis and Castanopsis argentea trees. The population in this study is the area of ​​Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim in Siak Regency, namely, 2,400 Ha. The sample in this study was taken with a sampling intensity of 0.1%. So, the sample in this study covers an area of ​​24,000 m2. The type of data collected is primary data consisting of data on the abundance and association (with other plants) of Aquilaria malaccensis and Castanopsis argentea in Tahura SSH, Riau Province as well as secondary data in the form of the general condition of the research location, maps and the results of research that has been carried out, thesis or journals related to the title to be researched. Data analysis in the form of an Important Value Index, Diversity Index, and associations with other types. The results of data analysis can determine the abundance and associations of Aquilaria malaccensis Lam. and Castanopsis argentea (Blume) A.DC. in Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park, Riau Province. The research results show that the Castanopsis argentea species has a higher abundance of 0.03 than Aquilaria malaccensis, which is 0.003. The highest association of Castanopsis argentea was 0.5 with Palaquium burkii, while the highest association of Aquilaria malaccensis was 0.8 with Sloetia elongata.

Abstract

Perubahan paradigma terhadap dunia pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini tidak terlepas dari dorongan di awal masa kedudukan kementerian, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengemukakan ide tentang Guru Penggerak dan Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur yang mendorong guru sehingga tertarik dan berkompeten menjadi guru penggerak, serta yang menyebabkan atau terciptanya siswa merdeka belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang mengedepankan pendekatan survey lapangan, wawancara, dan pengamatan sebagai metode  pengumpulan data. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, triangulasi data, dan sintesa data untuk menguatkan simpulan yang diperoleh. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Terdapat tiga kategori pada kompetensi guru penggerak yaitu Guru yang terampil disekolah dapat dikategorisasikan menjadi yang mampu Guru mengembangkan diri orang lain, memimpin pembelajaran dan Guru memimpin manajamen sekolah. Guru Penggerak harus memiliki karakteristik yang kuat sebagai Guru Pemimpin. Kurikulum yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan guru membantu meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di PAUD, serta meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memfasilitasi perkembangan komprehensif anak.

Abstract

The plankton community structure is a collection of zooplankton and phytoplankton populations that interact with each other in a waters. This study aims to analyze the structure of the plankton community and the influence of environmental conditions (physico-chemical) on the structure of the plankton community in the ponds. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling method, which represents three types of catfish ponds, namely, earthen ponds, tarpaulins, and biofloc. The results showed that in the three types of ponds studied, there were two species of zooplankton and 45 species of phytoplankton. Phytoplankton in soil ponds was dominated by Stigeoclonium subsecundum. Meanwhile, the zooplankton was dominated by Nebela collaris. Diversity (H') of zooplankton is in the low category with polluted water quality in the three ponds, while phytoplankton is in the high-low category. The equitability index (E) of zooplankton is in the stable category, while phytoplankton is in the depressed-stable category. The dominance index (D) of zooplankton belongs to the medium-low category, while phytoplankton belongs to the low category. As for the physico-chemical parameters of the waters, the three types of ponds have different effects from each parameter tested on the structure of the plankton community.

Abstract

The Kampar River is one of the rivers in the upper reaches that has caused pollution due to local communities such as excessive activity and gravel and sand mining. The purpose of this study was to determine the density of phytoplankton in the Kampar River in Koto Kampar Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency. Purposive sampling was used to determine observation stations, which took into account habitat types and biological parameters observed such as species composition, abundance, and diversity index. The findings revealed that five classes of algae were discovered in Kampar Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Zygnematophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, and Xanthophyceae. The abundance of phytoplankton in the Kampar River's waters is classified as moderate fertility, ranging from 2,419.96 cells/liter to 3,629.96 cells/liter.

Abstract

Clay soil tends to expand when wet and contract when dry, which can cause cracks in the soil or damage to the building structure above it if not handled properly. One effort that can be carried out is chemical stabilization using both conventional stabilization materials and the use of alternative stabilization materials, both organic and inorganic. The aim of this research is to increase the shear strength of the soil by adding varying percentages of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of concrete waste. The method used is an experimental method in the laboratory using SNI 3420:2016 testing for shear strength. The research results show that there is an increase in cohesion values ​​and shear angles along with the addition of concrete waste. The highest increase was found in the percentage of 20% addition of concrete waste to the original soil, namely the cohesion value was 0.400 kg/cm2 and the shear angle value was 24.567 0.

Abstract

Clay soil has low bearing capacity and high plasticity, which requires stabilization efforts to improve its strength. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Recycled Concrete Waste (RCW) as an alternative stabilizing material in improving the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value of clay soil. The research was conducted through a series of laboratory tests, including physical property analysis, Standard Proctor compaction tests, and CBR tests under RCW mixture variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%, both in unsoaked and soaked conditions. The results indicate that the Optimum Moisture Content (OMC) increased from 1.65% to 18.1%, while the Maximum Dry Density (MDD) decreased from 19.8 g/cm³ to 17 g/cm³, and slightly increased to 17.5 g/cm³ at 15% RCW content. The CBR value showed a significant improvement, increasing from 4.6% to 15% under unsoaked conditions and from 3.30% to 12.80% after soaking. It can be concluded that the optimum RCW content of 20% effectively enhances the soil’s bearing capacity and water resistance while offering an environmentally friendly solution for subgrade stabilization in road construction

Abstract

Plankton is an effective bioindicator for diagnosing freshwater pollution. We assessed the plankton community structure at three Sail River sites representing residential, industrial-urban, and agro-rural influences, and correlated biological indices with physicochemical parameters. Purposeful sampling and standard microscopy were used to identify and quantify taxa; Shannon diversity (H′), equitability index (E), dominance (D), trophic status, and saprobicity were obtained. In total, 106 taxa were recorded (zooplankton: 4 species in 3 higher groups; phytoplankton: 102 species in 20 classes). Phytoplankton abundance ranged from 3.0–9.1 × 10³ cells L⁻¹ across sites (mesotrophic), while zooplankton ranged from 1.9–161 × 10³ individuals L⁻¹. Phytoplankton diversity was moderate to high (H′ = 2.1–3.2) at less impacted sites and lower at residential sites; zooplankton diversity was low to moderate (H′ = 1.3–1.5). Saprobicity scores indicated β–α mesosaprobic conditions (light to moderate organic impact), consistent with elevated COD and low DO at residential sites. Cyanophyceae and Euglenophyceae were more frequent at sites with higher organic and nutrient loads, while Bacillariophyceae increased with increasing water clarity/flow. Overall, plankton metrics and chemistry indicated local organic stress rather than an “unpolluted” state. We emphasize the need for seasonal replication and more accurate quantification to reduce uncertainty in abundance estimates.

Abstract

Problem Solving is a learning model that presents material to students, is given problems to solve and gains knowledge in the process of finding, analyzing and solving a problem in a systematic and creative way to achieve the desired goal or solution, known as problem solving. This research aims to determine the influence of the problem solving learning model on learning outcomes in ecosystem material for students at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The population in this study were all class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative method with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design by managing data for a control class with a total of 45 students and an experimental class with a total of 45 students taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this research are teaching modules and problem solving LKPD. Data collection techniques include learning results tests and teacher and student activity sheets. Student learning results show that the average N-gain value for the control class is 0.31 (medium) while the average N-gain value for the experimental class is 0.58 (medium). The results of the N-Gain t-test obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.00<0.05 then reject H0, meaning there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. So the conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of the problem solving learning model on learning outcomes in ecosystem material for students at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Its crucial to get information about lead (Pb) heavy metal pollution from mining and oil palm plantation on species density in mangrove ecosystem, to anticipate its impacts. This study aimed is to compare the types and densities of vegetation in mangrove ecosystems allegedly due to mining in Setarap village, Tanah Bumbu Regency and oil palm plantations in Kuala Tambangan Village, Tanah Laut Regency. We also analysis the condition of waters (TDS, pH and DO) and organic content in sediments to acquire data from the South Kalimantan mangrove ecosystems. The results showed there were four species of true mangroves (Avicennia alba, Acanthus ebracteatus, Nypa fruticans and Rhizophora apiculate) could live well in the environment affected by mining or oil palm plantations. The species density for trees was low (933 ind/ha) for mangroves affected by coal mines, while those affected by oil palm plantations had higher densities (1,067 ind/ha). pH value of waters in affected area by coal mining showed more acidic value (pH 5.76) especially at the back, while those by palm oil plantations are more acidic (pH 6) in the estuary. Organic matter content in sediments affected by coal mines was in the range of 0.61-6.59%, while those affected by oil palm plantations showed higher values (0.12-2.19%). Lead heavy metal content (Pb) in waters affected by coal mines was 0.031-0.056 mg/L, while the area affected by oil palm plantations was of higher value (0.110-0.128 mg/L). Lead (Pb) levels in sediments indicate higher values than waters, which reach 3.512-6.046 mg/Kg (affected by coal mines), and in areas affected by oil palm plantations reaching 6.658-6.66 mg/Kg. The general conclusion is that vegetation densities in areas affected by coal mines are lower than oil palm plantations. The level of lead  (Pb) pollution in the sediments is higher than in the waters.
