Abstract

The most significant bombing incident in Indonesia was in Bali in 2002, resulting in the deaths of 202 individuals. After the bombing attack, Indonesia enacted Law Number 15 of 2003 about the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism. This Law exclusively governs criminal consequences, omitting other forms of penalties expressly targeting offenders of terrorism. The objective of this research is to identify alternative forms of sanctions that may be imposed on future perpetrators of terrorism. This research employs a normative methodology, utilizing both primary and secondary materials about legal rules concerning the eradication of terrorist criminal activities.Furthermore, it employs many legal methodologies, specifically the statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicated that deradicalization in Indonesia is critically necessary through the imposition of sanctions that must be enforced on terrorists in the future. Current deradicalization is not a punitive measure imposed on terrorists; instead, it seeks to eradicate their radical ideologies.

Abstract

Salafiyah Wustho Islamic Center Bin Baz is a school equivalent to junior high school. Salafiyah Wustho has various problems that are often faced by teachers in the Fiqh learning process, such as students not paying attention during learning, to students' lack of ability to understand the lesson and express opinions about the material presented. This affects student learning outcomes which then become academic records which then become evaluation material. In this case, the teacher tries to contribute to making improvements related to student learning outcomes by using the group discussion method. This research is field research. This research uses qualitative methods, meaning the results were not obtained through statistical techniques or other calculations. Qualitative research, also known as naturalistic research, conducts research in a natural environment, or natural setting, without converting it into numbers or symbols. The results of this research are an increase in the learning outcomes of class VIII A students in the Fiqh subject. This is proven by the pre-test results, the average value of which is still much below the KKM and the post-test scores which have increased significantly, because there has been an increase from pre-test to post-test. In implementing this group discussion method, there are several inhibiting factors, namely lack of time, the learning method used is still conventional, therefore causing students' concentration to decrease due to boredom while learning is taking place. The supporting factors in implementing this group discussion method are that students are very enthusiastic and the class is more conducive because there is strong motivation from the students so that students are very enthusiastic about participating in learning using the group discussion method.

Abstract

One of the figures who strongly criticized positivism was Thomas Kuhn. Kuhn criticizes the opinion of positivism which says that science develops cumulatively and evolutionarily. This is then refuted by Kuhn by presenting the concept of scientific paradigm and revolution. The author tries to see the concept of paradigm and scientific revolution in the body of Islamic scholarship. The author uses the library research method in conducting this research. While in collecting data related to the topic discussed by the author using documentation techniques. The results of this study state that the development of science is continuous or can be called continuously evolving. In the course of its evolution, science will experience an old paradigm or a normal phase of science, then enter a period of anomaly and crisis. The end of this cycle is the formation of a new normal science or the birth of a new paradigm. If Thomas Kuhn's thoughts are brought into the context of Islamic scholarship, then at this time it is at the anomaly stage, namely the many differences that occur in understanding a problem. But not until entering the crisis stage which requires finding a new paradigm, this is because each opinion has different arguments and understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of human nature from the perspectives of Western and Islamic psychology and to explore its relevance to contemporary personality theory. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach, using Manahij At-Tarbiyah Fii At-Tashawwur Al-Islamiy by Ali Ahmad Madkur as the primary source, along with supporting literature from Western and Islamic psychology. The findings reveal that Western psychology, through psychoanalytic, humanistic, and behavioristic approaches, views humans as rational and biological beings whose behavior is shaped by drives, experiences, and environmental factors. In contrast, Islamic psychology perceives humans as spiritual beings composed of the soul (an-nafs), intellect (al-‘aql), and heart (al-qalb), which interact under divine guidance. The discussion indicates that Western psychology emphasizes rational, biological, and social aspects, while Islamic psychology integrates spiritual, moral, and rational dimensions. Although both aim to understand human wholeness, they differ in epistemological foundations and moral orientations. Ali Ahmad Madkur’s thought offers an integrative paradigm that unites spirituality, intellect, and morality as the foundation for understanding human personality comprehensively. Thus, his perspective makes a significant contribution to modern psychology by integrating Islamic values with psychological science, providing a holistic understanding of the human being as a spiritual, rational, and moral entity.
