Abstract

Routing is an important process in computer networks, which involves selecting a path for packet data. The routing mechanism is governed by protocols at layer three of the OSI model or layer two of the TCP/IP model. Routing can be static or dynamic, with dynamic routing algorithms automatically determining the best path in the network. One commonly used dynamic routing protocol is Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), which automatically selects the optimal route for data packets based on received network topology information. The need for more advanced and scalable routing solutions led to the development of Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), introducing the concept of label switching for faster and more efficient data forwarding. This research aims to analyze the performance of OSPF and OSPF MPLS routing scenarios regarding TCP and UDP services. Through evaluation of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, including throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. This study simulates the network using GNS3 software, with TCP and UDP services transmitted for durations of 15, 30, and 60 seconds. The results showed performance for both scenarios with an average index value of 3.75, indicating "good" network performance according to TIPHON standards across all measurement sessions. Although MPLS OSPF showed slightly lower throughput compared to non-MPLS OSPF, both scenarios showed very low packet loss, low delay, and stable jitter. The evaluation also highlights that the use of OSPF MPLS for UDP services reduces the time delay. Both non-MPLS OSPF and MPLS OSPF effectively support TCP and UDP services, with MPLS OSPF showing advantages in certain QoS parameters, especially for UDP services.

Abstract

The community service program is an activity carried out to contribute to the community directly with the main objective of increasing understanding to the participants about digital leadership and providing direct training in the use of social media as a medium for da'wah. This activity was held at Nawa Flat, Sorong City, on September 16, 2024, attended by 30 Aisyiyah women participants. This activity was carried out offline in one meeting session using material delivery using the lecture method, question and answer sessions and direct training on the use of social media as a preaching medium using the Tiktok and Canva applications. The results obtained show an increase in participants' understanding and skills in utilizing digital technology for da'wah purposes. This program has an important meaning in empowering Aisyiyah women to be able to use social media effectively, so that it is expected to expand the reach of da'wah messages in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Kampung Arar, Sorong Regency, West Papua, which has abundant potential for rebon shrimp (kasia shrimp). Rebon shrimp are rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, and iron; however, the washing waste from these shrimp has not yet been utilized by the local community. This activity aimed to provide training to the Kampung Arar community on utilizing rebon shrimp waste to produce liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) using the bioactivator Effective Microorganism (EM4). The methods included socialization, training, and assistance in the LOF fermentation process and its application to plants. The results showed an increase in the community's understanding, particularly among women in the PKK group, regarding the benefits of rebon shrimp waste, with a 70% knowledge improvement after the training. Moreover, the community was able to produce LOF independently and apply it to plants such as water spinach, which exhibited better growth. This activity is expected to contribute to waste management and improve community welfare through sustainable agricultural practices

Abstract

The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is commonly used for TCP and UDP services, but it poses challenges in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) analysis. Parameters like throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter are crucial for assessing network service quality. This study aims to analyze the performance and influence of the BGP routing protocol on TCP and UDP services using QoS parameters. The research used a GNS3 network simulation to conduct multiple packet transmission tests for TCP and UDP protocols, lasting 15, 30, and 60 seconds; and monitored using Wireshark. For TCP services, the average QoS index value is 3.75, categorizing the quality as "Good". The tested network topology and routing configuration exhibit reliable performance, providing good throughput, low packet loss rates, minimal delays, and stable jitter. Similarly, UDP services demonstrate “Good” performance with an average QoS index of 3.75. The BGP routing protocol in the tested network topology ensures high-quality service with good delivery speed, low packet loss rate, minimal delay, and stable jitter. Overall, the study concludes that the BGP routing protocol effectively provides satisfactory QoS for TCP and UDP services. This research contributes to understanding network performance and optimizing routing protocols for improved telecommunications services. The findings highlight the significance of routing protocols in facilitating efficient data transmission on the Internet, reinforcing the importance of QoS analysis for enhancing service quality.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by the Indonesian government in the field of education is the equalization of education from Sabang to Merauke in providing quality and superior education. In overcoming this, the Indonesian government runs a program called PIP (Smart Indonesia Program). PIP is a cash assistance program for education aimed at school-age children between 6 and 21 years old who have a low-income economic background so that they can experience fair and equal education services. A person who receives PIP will be given a marker card called the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP). Each educational unit or school has the right to propose students to receive PIP/KIP scholarships through the local Education Office. SMK Kesehatan Nusantara Sorong carries out the selection process for the eligibility of students for the proposal of PIP/KIP recipients which is still done subjectively and manually so that a solution is needed to reduce negative impacts such as not being on target, inefficient time and not being computerized. A decision support system can be applied to overcome these problems. DSS is built by implementing the RAD development method, the MOORA DSS method and the Black Box testing method and Usability Testing. The results of the selection process for the eligibility of PIP/KIP scholarship recipient recommendations on sample data are 20 alternatives with the highest ranking values, namely students 63, 12, 35, 55, 50, 57, 15, 23, 67, 28, 62, 40, 44, 9, 39, 8, 19, 29, 45, and 3 with the highest ranking value of 0.1285. The results of this study are a system that can be used to carry out the selection process for the eligibility of students for recommendations for PIP/KIP scholarship recipients.
