Abstract

Sebagai seorang pendidik, guru berkewajiban untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari proses pembelajaran, yang kemudian berdampak pada peningkatan kemampuan peserta didiknya. Sehingga, guru dituntut untuk terus mengembangkan kompetensi yang dimilikinya, salah satunya yaitu kompetensi profesionalisme. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan dan meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMP dan SMA di Desa Lembo Kabupaten Konawe Utara melalui pelatihan pembuatan soal dan penilaian secara daring (dalam jaringan). Di era digitalisasi saat ini pemanfaatan teknologi informasi (IT) diberbagai sektor/bidang menjadi begitu intens, tidak terkecuali dibidang Pendidikan. Lembaga Pendidikan dituntut untuk dapat melaksanakan proses pembelajaran hingga proses penilaian dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Terutama dalam menghadapi kondisi pandemi, yang menuntut dilaksanakannya proses pembelajaran dan penilaian secara daring. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini yaitu pelatihan, pendampingan, dan diskusi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan memberikan informasi mengenai pembuatan soal dan penilaian secara daring. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup kebijakan pelaksanaan penilaian daring sebelum dan selama pandemi serta pembuatan soal dan penilaian daring menggunakan google form. Hasil yang dicapai dalam Kegiatan PKM ini, yaitu: 1) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru tentang pemanfaatan google form sebagai media dalam melaksanakan penilaian secara daring; 2) meningkatnya motivasi guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi pedadogiknya. Hasil PKM ini juga memperlihatkan tingkat kepuasan yang baik dari guru-guru peserta pelatihan, dengan persentase sangat puas sebesar 70% dan puas sebesar 30%.Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Soal, Penilaian Daring,  google form

Abstract

This research is causal-quantitative research that aims to find out and examine the implications/influence of ethnomathematical experiences, namely things that have been experienced by students related to mathematics who was born based on the culture and value system of an ethnic group; and differences in characteristics on the understanding of the students’ number concept. is a trait used as the basis for identifying differences between men and women in terms of socio-cultural conditions, values ​​and behavior, mentality, and so on. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year at SMP Negeri 3 Kendari. The results show that the experience of ethnomathematics has a significant effect on understanding the concept of numbers by 0.302. Meanwhile, differences in characteristics have no effect on students' understanding of the concept of numbers at SMP Negeri 3 Kendari. This result explains that if students' ethnomathematical experience increases by one unit, then students' knowledge of mathematical concepts will increase by 0.302 units. Ethnomathematics experience can be used to design mathematics learning in an ethnomathematical context based on local wisdom in the classroom. Teachers can consider using ethnomathematical contexts based on students' experiences with traditional games they know and have played to create a condition for learning mathematics that is fun and easier to understand because it is close to students' daily lives and contains cultural values ​​that can shape students' character.

Abstract

Sebagai seorang pendidik, guru berkewajiban untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari proses pembelajaran demi tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran secara maksimal, sehingga guru dituntut untuk terus meningkatkan kemampuan dan kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi (IT) yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru dalam mewujudkan pembelajaran yang optimal. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, terdapat beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru diantaranya membuat media pembelajaran berbasis IT. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Metode yang Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini yaitu pelatihan, pendampingan, dan diskusi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan memberikan materi, diskusi dan praktek pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis IT. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup hakikat media pembelajaran dan soal berbasis IT serta jenis dan cara pembuatan media dan soal berbasis IT. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan PKM ini yaitu : 1) Kegiatan PKM terkait pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran dan soal berbasis komputer di SMA Negeri 1 Samaturu mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran dalam bentuk pembuatan media pembelajaran dan soal berbasis komputer; 2) Kegiatan ini perlu dilanjutkan dengan waktu yang lebih lama demi memaksimalkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran dan soal berbasi komputer sehingga dapat meminimalisir kendala dalam pembuatannya oleh guru kedepannya. Kata Kunci: PKM, Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran, Soal Berbasis Komputer

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a multidimensional instrument that will measure the interest in mathematics among Indonesian adolescents (aged 12-21 years). The developed instrument must meet psychometric standards in terms of content, construct, and concurrent validity. This instrument is called the “Skala Minat Matematika Remaja” (SMMR). The existence of SMMR is important because: (1) it is based on a validated structure and content of interest in the literature, (2) it accommodates the measurement of interest during adolescence, and (3) it specifically measures mathematics interest, which will be useful in the mathematics learning process. Three sample groups were taken from secondary school to university level to complete the SMMR instrument. A quantitative approach was used to test three types of validity. Construct validity was tested using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) resulted in a 20-item SMMR with four dimensions (engagement, knowledge, emotions, and value) that explained 58% of the total variance. This indicates that the selected items can effectively explain the four dimensions of interest. Furthermore, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) on the third sample group confirmed that SMMR is suitable for application among different groups of adolescents. SMMR scores showed a significant negative relationship between interest and age. This relationship indicates that SMMR has good concurrent validity.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively, especially in mathematics, is highly needed today for the development of science in the 21st century. However, many Indonesian students still find it difficult to develop creativity in solving problems related to relations and functions. This research aims to identify the level of creative thinking ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 5 Kendari in the material of relations and functions. The methodology used is qualitative. The instrument used is 4 essay questions on mathematical creative thinking ability in the material of relations and functions. These questions include indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results of the study show that most of the eighth-grade A students have good fluency skills, but their flexibility skills still need to be improved. Originality and elaboration skills are also still very low. Meanwhile, the level of mathematical creative thinking ability of eighth-grade A students at SMP Negeri 5 Kendari is in the medium category with 21 students (70%). Based on the results of the above descriptions, it shows that students' mathematical creative thinking abilities based on the distribution of questions are not fully owned and need to be improved.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Di Sulawesi Tenggara, pemerintah daerah telah mengadakan pelatihan untuk guru-guru. Namun, program ini belum sepenuhnya diterapkan di sekolah, terutama di daerah pinggiran. Kesulitan dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis komputer dan metode pembelajaran konvensional mempengaruhi motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Lasolo Kepulauan, Kabupaten Konawe Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis komputer berbantuan Microsoft powerpoint, ispring suite software, dan Kvisoft Flipbook Maker, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kreativitasnya dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR). Hasil program pengabdian ini menunjukkan 1) Guru-guru merespon sangat baik terkait IAIN Kendari yang memberikan pelatihan terhadap kebutuhan Kerjasama yang diharapkan oleh guru-guru; 2) Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kreativitas guru-guru dalam mendesain dan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis komputer berbantuan setelah dilaksanakannya pelatihan. Dari hasil evaluasi program, direkomendasikan untuk perlunya dilakukan kegiatan sejenis, agar guru-guru mampu memanfaatkan teknologi komputer atau teknologi Informasi (IT) dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, perlu juga dilakukan pelatihan pemanfaatan software lain seperti canva, serta media-media pembelajaran lainnya yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru-guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan evaluasi peserta didik berbasis digital. Kata Kunci: kreativitas guru, media pembelajaran berbasis komputer, pelatihan [English]: In Southeast Sulawesi, the regional government has conducted training for teachers. However, this program has not been fully implemented in schools, especially in suburban areas. The difficulty in using computer-based learning media and conventional learning methods affects student motivation and understanding. This community service program aims to provide knowledge insight and increase understanding of junior high school teachers in Lasolo Islands, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province in utilizing computer-based learning media assisted by Microsoft PowerPoint, Ispring software suite, and Kvisoft Flipbook Maker so that they can increase their creativity in carrying out learning in class. The method used was the Participatory Action Research (PAR). The results show that: 1) The teachers responded very well to IAIN Kendari, which provided training on the cooperation needs expected by the teachers; 2) There is an increase in teachers' knowledge and creativity in designing and utilizing computer-assisted learning media after the training. It is also recommended that similar activities be carried out so that teachers can utilize computer technology/information technology (IT) in the learning process. In addition, it is necessary to provide training on using other software such as Canva and other learning media that teachers can utilize in digital-based learning and student evaluation activities. Abstract

This study aims to describe gender characteristics, describe Mathematics Habits of Mind, and determine the effect of gender characteristics and Mathematics Habits of Mind on mathematics learning outcomes. This study method uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex-post facto research. The gender characteristics questionnaire was adapted from the Bem Sex Role Inventory by Sandra L. Bem (1977), and the Mathematics Habits of Mind questionnaire was modified by Costa and Kallick (2008). While the results of learning mathematics are taken from the teacher's documentation of the results of students' daily tests. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was found that 1) There were ten students with Feminine Gender, there were 34 students with Masculine Gender, there were 26 students with Androgyny Gender, and there 35 students with Undifferentiated Gender; 2) Mathematics Habits of Mind of students who are in the High category by 1.9% of students; 55.2% are in the Medium category, and 42.9% are in a Low category; 3) There is an effect of gender characteristics and Mathematics Habits of Mind on students' mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

One model that may explain the pattern of the relationship between the categorical dependent variable and the independent variables is probit regression. In the probit regression, the independent variable can be categorical or continuous. Probit regression is using the link function of the standard normal distribution. If the probit regression modeling involves a cross-section data and time series data, it is called probit data panel model. Parameter estimation of random effect probit data panel model is using the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method with Gauss Hermite Quadrature approach. Iterative procedure by using BFGS method. BFGS method used to obtain the close form value of the parameter estimates.
