Abstract

This research aims at improving of physic teachers’ professionalism and students’ critical thinking through lesson study guidance. This research was action research through lesson study. The research subjects were teachers and students of the tenth graders of physic subject. The data collection was conducted in making requirement guidance and teaching learning process. After collecting data, the data analysis used was descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, there was improvement of physic teachers’ professionalism conducted each cycle and also students’ critical thinking was improvement each cycle. Even though, in the third cycle was decreasing, the fourth cycle was significantly improvement. It can be seen from the mean score of critical thinking indicators of each cycle: the first cycle was 26, the second cycle was 64, the third cycle was 54, and the fourth cycle was 74.  Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkanprofesionalitas guru fisika dan keterampilanberpikir kritis siswa melalui pendampingan lesson study.Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan dengan lesson study. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas X mata pelajaran Fisika, Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada saat pendampingan pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran dan pada saat proses pembelajaran, setelah data terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis; terjadi peningkatan profesinalitas guru fisikapada setiap siklus pembelajaran yang dilakukan.Hal ini ditunjukan dengan semakin baiknya perangkat pembelajaran sebelum dilakukan diskusi plan, proses pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Demikian juga dengan keterampilanberpikir kritis siswa terjadi peningkatan pada masing-masing siklus pembelajaran,walaupun pada siklus ketiga terjadi penurunan tetapi dapat tertutupi oleh siklus keempat yang mengalami peningkatan cukup signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata penguasaan indikator berpikir kritis siswa pada masing-masing siklus sebagai berikut, siklus pertama 26, siklus kedua 64, siklus ketiga 54, dan siklus keempat 74. Keyword: Professionalism, critical thinking, and lesson studyKata kunci: Profesonalitas, berpikir kritis, dan lesson study

Abstract

This research aims to develop and determine the quality of physics learning modules based on contextual on the material of rigid dynamics of rotation and equilibrium for class XI students. The research method used is the Research and Development (R & D) method which includes; analysis of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product trials, product revisions, and usage tests. The data in this research were analyzed qualitatively deskriptive. The subject of this research included three lecturers and two physics teachers as experts, as well as students of class XI IPA MA NW Kotaraja. The research instrument used was the validation sheet and student response sheet. Design validation resulted in a score of 3.29, a product trial yielded a score of 3.17, and a trial of use resulted in a score of 3.23. All the results of this research indicate that the module is very feasible to develop.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengolah sampah plastik menjadi BBM dengan metode pirolisis sebagai energi alternatif dan mengolah kembali gas hasil pirolisis sebagai sumber energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Data  hasil  penelitian dianalisis  dengan  cara  mengamati secara  langsung  hasil  eksperimen,  kemudian menyimpulkan   dan   menentukan   hasil   penelitian yang  telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah suhu reaktor, waktu pirolisis, dan densitas minyak plastik. Pirolisis sampah plastik ini menggunakan sampah jenis PolyPropylene dan sampah plastik jenis High Density PolyEthylene. Proses  pirolisis  dijalankan  dalam  reaktor yang berisi 0,5 kg plastik dengan variasi suhu 1000 C, 1500 C, 2000 C, 2500 C, dan 3000 C. Untuk menghemat bahan bakar dalam menamaskan reaktor maka digunakan gas sisa pirolisis yang tidak dapat terkondensasi pada tabung kondensor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan minyak hasil pirolisis terbanyak dari sampah plastik PolyPropylene dan High Density PolyEthylene diperoleh pada suhu operasi 3000 C sebanyak 110 ml dan 145 ml. Waktu tercepat proses pirolisis plastik PolyPropylene adalah 60 menit  dengan nilai densitas minyak sebesar 818,181 kg/m3dan plastik High Density PolyEthylene adalah  30 menit dengan nilai densitas minyak sebesar 714,285 kg/m3 serta 551,728 kg/m3. Densitas  minyak  hasil  pirolisis  pada plastik PolyPropylene mendekati densitas bahan bakar etanol dan solar masing-masing 777,777 kg/m3 dan 818,181 kg/m3. Sedangkan pada plastik High Density PolyEthylene nilai densitas mendekati bahan bakar bensin sebesar 714,285 kg/m3. Data analisis regresi berganda pada plastik PolyPropylene dan High Density PolyEthylene menunjukkan bahwa suhu, waktu pirolisis dan densitas memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dan saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students' ability to analyze by applying modeling instruction and simulation media PhET. The research method used is a quasi experimental method with one group pretest posttest design. In this study, samples were taken as many as 33 people. The instrument used in the study was a multiple choice test. This test consists of 5 questions in the analyze category. Data analysis in this study used the Gain Normality Test. From the calculation results obtained an average value of N-gain of 0.7, it can be concluded that the application of modeling instruction and simulation media PhET can improve the ability to analyze students.

Abstract

The purpose of making this tool is to design and manufacture an electric wheelchair for disabilities based on the ATMega328 microcontroller. This tool is expected to make it easier for users who use wheelchairs to be able to use them independently. The design of an electric wheelchair for disabilities based on the ATmega328 microcontroller consists of several stages starting from the needs identification stage, needs analysis, circuit design, tool modification, program flowchart, tool evaluation, and data collection. The main components used as the main control are Arduino UNO (ATMega 328), joystick as control medium, DC driver as rotation regulator, and DC motor as wheelchair propulsion. Based on the test results, the results of the control experiment using a joystick and a microcontroller produce the wheelchair movement output according to the instructions that have been set as input. The wheelchair can move with instructions, Forward, Backward, Left, Right, and Stop. The wheelchair can carry a maximum user load of 25 kg, plus a battery load and a DC motor of 25 kg, a total load that can be carried is 50 kg. The results of testing the performance of the system can work in accordance with its functions and objectives.

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out 1) the effect of debate and discussion on the students’ learning achievement; 2) the effect of high and low critical thinking ability on the students’ learning achievement; and 3) the interaction between the instructional method and the critical thinking ability on the students’ learning achievement. This research is quantitative administering experiment research. The population is the students of Informatics Education Study Program. The sample is the students who are taking ‘Etika Profesi (Profession Ethics)’ subject in the sixth semester. This grade consists of two classes: 6A and 6B. Based on the research and the data analysis, it is concluded that 1) there is effect on the students’ learning achievement -the students’ learning achievement taught through debating is higher than through discussion; 2) there is effect critical thinking ability on the students’ learning achievement -the students with high critical thinking ability gain higher learning achievement; 3) there is a significant interaction between the instructional method and the students’ critical thinking ability.
