Abstract

Salah satu perusahaan galangan kapal yang berlokasi di wilayah Merak dan mulai beroperasi sejak 2017 memiliki fokus pada jasa pembangunan dan perawatan kapal laut. Sebagai industri dengan tingkat risiko tinggi, penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) menjadi aspek krusial untuk menjamin keselamatan tenaga kerja serta kelangsungan operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kelayakan fasilitas dan implementasi prosedur K3 di perusahaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dengan data diperoleh melalui wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan memiliki fasilitas pendukung yang cukup lengkap, seperti bengkel, dermaga, gudang, alat berat (crane, excavator, loader), serta perlengkapan K3 seperti APAR, hydrant, jalur evakuasi, dan sirine. Prosedur keselamatan diterapkan melalui safety briefing mingguan, kewajiban penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), serta sanksi bagi pelanggar. Namun, masih ditemukan kendala seperti rendahnya pemahaman terhadap prosedur keselamatan, belum adanya audit internal, serta sistem operasional yang masih bersifat manual.

Abstract

The rapid and ongoing evolution of metaverse technology presents a dual-edged sword, offering both exciting new opportunities as well as significant challenges that pertain to its public adoption, particularly within the Indonesian context. This research endeavor aims to thoroughly investigate the various determinants that intentions to use of metaverse games technology among individuals in Indonesia. The theoretical framework underpinning this research is grounded in the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2), which serves as a robust model for understanding technology acceptance. To achieve the objectives of this study, a quantitative research method was employed. This involved the distribution of offline and online questionnaires to a total sample of 324 participants. All participants were selected using purposive sampling techniques and had at least some level of awareness or prior experience with metaverse games technology. For the analysis phase, data processing utilized Structural Equation Modeling AMOS (SEM-AMOS) to validate hypotheses. The findings derived from this research indicate that key factors namely FOMO exert a significant influence on individuals intention to use metaverse games technology across Indonesian users.

Abstract

Comparative thermal analysis of turboprop and turbofan engines in aircraft propulsion systems, with a focus on ideal thermal efficiency based on the Brayton cycle. Thermal efficiency, a dimensionless parameter representing the ratio of heat converted into useful work to the total heat input, is a fundamental indicator of engine performance and energy utilization. Turboprop engines, such as the Garret TPE331-10 powering the CASA C-212 Aviocar, operate as hybrid systems generating both jet thrust and shaft power for propeller rotation. In contrast, turbofan engines, exemplified by the CFM56-3CI, utilize a large bypass fan to achieve higher mass airflow and improved thrust efficiency at subsonic cruise conditions. This study quantitatively evaluates and compares the ideal thermal efficiencies of both engine types using data from previous studies. The analysis reveals that the CFM56-3 turbofan achieves an ideal thermal efficiency of approximately 70.51%, significantly higher than the TPE331-10 turboprop's 48.99%. This 21.52 percentage point difference is primarily attributed to the turbofan's higher compressor pressure ratio, enabling more effective energy conversion within the Brayton cycle. However, the paper also discusses the trade-off between thermal efficiency and propulsive efficiency, noting that turboprops excel at low to medium speeds due to superior propulsive efficiency from their propellers. The findings underscore that while turbofans are better suited for high-speed, long-range flights, turboprops remain optimal for short-haul operations. This comparison provides valuable insights for engineers, designers, and operators in selecting appropriate propulsion technologies and optimizing energy use across various flight missions.

Abstract

The increasing use of smartphones among elementary school students has the potential to have negative impacts if not accompanied by proper time management. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to educate students about the importance of time management to reduce the negative impacts of smartphone use. The activity was conducted at Tamannyeleng Elementary School in Gowa Regency, involving 38 students using an educational and participatory approach through material delivery, discussions, and Q&A sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding and awareness of the impacts of uncontrolled smartphone use and the importance of dividing their time between studying, playing, resting, and smartphone use. The approach used also increased student engagement during the activity. This activity has the potential to be the first step in developing wiser smartphone habits in elementary school students.

Abstract

Waktu sandar kapal muatan curah kering di PT. XYZ diketahui melampaui jadwal yang telah direncanakan. Kondisi ini disebabkan oleh adanya idle time yang muncul akibat penerapan metode truck lossing dalam kegiatan bongkar muat, yang berdampak pada menurunnya kinerja bongkar muat. Penelitian ini akan mengidentifikasi proses pelaksanaan truck lossing, menggambarkan kondisi kinerja bongkar muat curah kering, serta mengevaluasi seberapa besar pengaruh truck lossing terhadap kinerja bongkar muat curah kering tersebut. Akan digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif pada penelitian ini dengan melibatkan 11 petugas bongkar muat, 27 operator crane, 7 operator excavator, serta 39 driver truk yang pernah melakukan kegiatan truck lossing curah kering. Data primer akan digunakan pada penelitian ini yang didapat dari wawancara dan penggunaan kuesioner, serta penggunaan data sekunder yang didapat dari laporan perusahaan. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan proses truck lossing curah kering dilakukan dengan dengan membongkar atau memuat barang melalui tahap stevedoring tanpa melewati proses cargodoring maupun receiving, kinerja bongkar muat curah kering belum memenuhi standar dan dinilai kurang baik, serta hasil uji regresi dan hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa truck lossing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja bongkar muat curah kering dimana truck lossing berkontribusi sebesar 34,2% terhadap kinerja bongkar muat curah kering di PT. XYZ, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukan dalam model regresi pada penelitian ini.

One alternativelearning model that can be used to improve students’ problem-solving skills is theSTEM learning approach. This study aims to determine students’ problem-solvingabilities before and after the implementation of the STEM learning approach and toanalyze the effect of the STEM learning approach on students’ problem-solvingabilities in IPAS learning for fifth grade students at SDN 70 Boddia. This studyemployed an experimental research design using a Quasi-Experimental method.Quasi-Experimental research is a type of research that has a control group butcannot fully control external variables that may influence the implementation of theexperiment. The data collection techniques used were observation anddocumentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysistechniques and SPSS 26 statistical analysis The results of the study indicate thatthere is an effect of the STEM learning approach on students’ problem-solvingabilities in IPAS learning for fifth grade students at SDN 70 Boddia. This is shownby the post-test average score of 89.21%. Based on the results of the independentsample t-test hypothesis testing, the Sig. (2-tailed) equal variance assumed valuewas 0.001, which indicates that 0.001 < 0.05.
