Abstract

Broiler is one of animal food sources which is widely used as an alternative meat that much preferred by various community because it has a variety of benefits when compared to other sources of animal food.  Parigi District has several supermarkets and traditional markets that provide broiler meat for restaurant needs. This research aimed to determine the influencing factors of demand as well as broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers and restaurant itself in the District of Parigi. The research was conducted in September-November 2013. Sampling is applied with multilevel cluster sampling (incidental multistage sampling). The samples taken at 30 restaurants and 132 restaurant consumers and designed using the survey method. Analysis of data using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the average demand for broiler meat in the restaurant achieved 83.167 g or 83,2 kg/month and by restaurant consumers was 5,613 g/month or a total of 5,6 kg/month. Revenue of restaurant owners and the number of food consumers had positive effect on the broiler meat demand of restaurants in the District of Parigi Moutong. The price of meat food menu and others had negative influence on broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers, whereas the consumer income and the consumer spending per month had positive affected for broiler meat demand by restaurant consumers in the District of Parigi  Moutong.Keywords: broiler meat, demand, restaurant

Abstract

This study aims to determine consumer behavior towards attributes of chicken meat such as meat color, texture, aroma and weight in purchasing decisions, and to analyze the factors that influence behavior. The research was conducted at the Traditional Ganti Market  of Donggala Regency from August to September 2019. The research used survey methods and interviews with a sample of 40 respondents. Data were analyzed using Multi-attribute Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that the attributes of chicken meat weight were highly considered in making purchasing decisions, followed by the aroma, color and texture of the meat. The results of the Multiple Linear Regression analysis show that the price of chicken meat, income, number of family members, age, gender, education and work together have a positive effect on consumer behavior. However, individually, the ones that have a positive effect on consumer behavior are education and consumer occupation.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku konsumen terhadap atribut-atribut daging ayam potong seperti warna daging, tekstur, aroma dan bobot dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pasar Tradisional Ganti Kabupaten Donggala pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2019. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dan wawancara dengan sampel sebanyak 40 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Multiatribut dan Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan atribut bobot daging ayam sangat dipertimbangkan dalam mengambil keputusan pembelian, kemudian diikuti aroma, warna dan tekstur daging. Hasil analisis Regresi Linier Berganda menunjukkan harga daging ayam, pendapatan, jumlah anggota keluarga, umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan pekerjaan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku konsumen. Namun secara individu yang berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku konsumen yaitu faktor pendidikan dan pekerjaan konsumen.

Abstract

Bencana alam gempa bumi merupakan getaran pada permukaan bumi karena adanya pelepasan energi secara tiba- tiba dari pusat gempa di dalam bumi. Energi yang dilepaskan tersebut merambat melalui tanah dalam bentuk getaran. Hal ini merupakan pergerakan tanah alami yang disebabkan oleh fenomena yang beragam, temasuk proses tektonik, vulkanisme/gunung api, dan ledakan, serta runtuhan. Gempa bumi dengan kekuatan 7,4 SR yang mengguncang wilayah Kota Palu (Sulawesi Tengah) mengakibatkan tsunami yang menerjang Pantai Talise juga likuifaksi di Petobo dan Balaroa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Perkembangan Usaha Peternakan Sapi Potong Di Kota Palu Pasca Gempa. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2019. Penentuan lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kota Palu, di kecamtan Tawaeli, kecamtan Mantikolure, kecamtan Palu Selatan. Metode penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden, jumlah sampel tiap kecamatan,yaitu 47 (Tawaeli), 39 (Mantikolure), 14 (Palu Selatan) Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Model analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif yang menggambarkan situasi atau kejadian serta membuat deskripsi, gambaran atau lukisan secara polaatis, factual,dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat serta hubungan antar fenomena yang diselidiki oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perkembangan usaha peternakan sapi potong di kota Palu mengalami kerugian yang cukup besar.

Abstract

Ternak kambing merupakan salah satu ternak ruminansia yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Kota Palu. Hal ini karena ternak kambing memiliki populasi terbesar dan tersebar hampir diseluruh kecamatan di Kota Palu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keunggulan komparatif ternak kambing terhadap ternak ruminansia lain di Kota Palu. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kota Palu Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah pada bulan Agustus 2020. Objek penelitian adalah data populasi ternak ruminansia. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yakni data runut waktu (time series) selama 15 tahun terakhir (2005 – 2019). Data tersebut bersumber dari beberapa instansi terkait antara lain: Dinas Perkebunan dan Peternakan Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah, Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah, dan Dinas Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan Kota Palu. Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah populasi ternak ruminansia. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah (1) Location Quotient (LQ), (2) Growth Share. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa komoditas ternak kambing di Kota Palu merupakan sektor basis dimana yang menjadi konsentrasi wilayah terdapat di kecamatan Ulujadi, diikuti oleh kecamatan Tatanga, Palu Barat, Tawaeli dan Palu Utara yang artinya sektor basis tersebut mampu memenuhi kebutuhan daerahnya sendiri maupun mensuplai ke daerah yang lain di sulawesi tengah. Selain itu ternak kambing merupakan komoditas unggulan yang mana klasifikasi sektor unggulan menunjukkan bahwa komoditas tersebut memiliki pertumbuhan yang cukup tinggi (+) dan kontribusi yang diberikan cukup besar (+).

Abstract

Pengelolaan sektor peternakan Sulawesi Tengah masih termasuk dalam kategori belum optimal. Jika dilihat dari aspek manajemen usaha, umumnya masih dilakukan secara ekstensif atau dikelola berdasarkan kondisi alamiah dan tidak sesuai kebutuhan dasar ternak serta tata kelola yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adopsi peternak sapi terhadap manajemen usaha peternakan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 4 Desa di Kecamatan Balaesang Tanjung yaitu Desa Walandano, Malei, Palau dan Pomolulu, pada bulan September - Oktober 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sensus, observasi dan wawancara langsung di lapangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat adopsi peternak terhadap manajemen usaha peternakan sudah sangat baik dengan persentase yaitu peternak mengetahui manajemen usaha (90 %), peternak mengetahui tujuan manajemen usaha peternakan (91%), peternak mengetahui keuntungan beternak sapi (91%), peternak mengetahui manajemen usaha peternakan sapi potong dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan produktivitas ternak (58%), peternak melakukan perubahan manajemen usaha sapi potong (99%), peternak merasakan manajemen usaha sapi memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesejahteraan peternak (97%), dan peternak telah melakukan tahapan manajemen usaha sapi (70%).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the marketing efficiency of beef cattle in Palu City. This research was conducted at the West Palu Regency Animal Market and the Animal Market in Tawaeli Regency for 3 months, namely March to May 2022. The research method used in this research was a field survey method with a supporting instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Sampling was carried out by means of snowball sampling or sampling by taking an approach to finding key informants. The research results show that there are 5 marketing channels for beef cattle in Palu City, Marketing Channels I, II, III and IV are classified as efficient, this can be seen from the marketing efficiency value for beef cattle in Palu City which shows that marketing channel I is 0.96%, Channel Marketing II was 1.77%, Marketing Channel III was 2.10%, Marketing Channel IV was 3.45%. Meanwhile, the inefficient marketing channel for beef cattle in Palu City is marketing channel V because its marketing efficiency value is more than 5%, namely 8.49%. The factors that influence the marketing efficiency of beef cattle in the city of Palu are age (X1) and length of business (X2), where the results of simultaneous testing (together) of X1 and X2 on Y then together have a significant influence on efficiency marketing and If tested on each variable, the results show that the factors age (X1) and length of business (X2) each have a very significant influence on marketing efficiency (Y).

This study aims to analyze the Comparative Advantage of Cattle Business and Its Contribution to Livestock Development in Donggala Regency by using time series data for 10 years, starting from 2010 to 2019. The analytical model used in this study is a combination of Location Quotient (LQ) and Growth and Share analysis. The Location Quotient (LQ) technique is used as a guide to find out how much cattle have influenced on regional economic growth, by comparing the production value in the area namely Donggala Regency. The acquisition of the LQ value of cattle in Donggala Regency is 1.03 > 1 which means that the beef cattle business is a basic sector, it can be said that cattle have a comparative advantage because they are able to provide regional markets and markets outside the region from Donggala Regency. Based on the Growth and Share analysis, beef cattle commodities have positive growth where x = 8, with a contribution (positive share) X = 9.8 > 2, and it is stated that the beef cattle business is superior and contributes greatly to the development of livestock in Donggala Regency.

Based on the Growth and Share analysis, beef cattle commodities have positive growth where x = 8, with a contribution (positive share) X = 9.8 > 2, and it is stated that the beef cattle business is superior and contributes greatly to the development of livestock in Donggala Regency. Carring capacity analysis and proximal tests that grazing pasture grass in Donggala Regency is 8 UT/Ha/Year with Nutrient Content Of Dry Ingredients = 37.75%, Coarse Fat = 0.68%, Coarse Protein = 3.56%, Coarse Fiber = 27.35, Ash Content = 5.25.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the farming behavior of the transmigration community towards keeping goats in the highland areas in the Lembantongoa Transmigration area, Palolo District, Sigi Regency in September – November 2023. The research method used is a survey. Data collection techniques, namely field studies or observations through the interview process and filling out questionnaires. The variables observed in this research are economic (X1), social and cultural (X2), environmental (X3), food sources (X4), maintenance systems (Y1), income (Y2) and business development (Y3). The respondents used in this research were all transmigration communities who carried out goat breeding activities in the transmigration area, namely 74 breeders. The data collection technique uses a 1-5 Likert scale, while data analysis is carried out using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the research showed that the highest average indicator scale proportion values were obtained for each latent variable, including: anticipation of plantation risk (X1.1), length of breeding (X2.3), temperature and humidity (X3.4), alternative feed (X4.5), cage cleanliness (Y1.5), farming income (Y2.1) and human resources (Y3.5). The conclusion of the research shows that the community's farming behavior regarding all latent variables has an average scale proportion that is in the good category.
