Abstract

Abstract: The fermentation of corn straw fiber and sorghum straw by using Phanerochaete chrysosporium fungus is done to improve its nutrition quality. This research was done in a laboratory by using a Complete Random Plan with factorial pattern of 2 x 4 and was repeated 3 times. The first factor was the type of straw, they were corn and sorghum straws. The second factor was the dosage of fungus inoculumss of Phanerochaete chrysosporium, each in 0% v/w (Pc0), 2% v/w (Pc1), 4% v/w (Pc2) and 6% v/w (Pc3). When there was a real difference, it was then continued Different Real Honest Test. The use of fungus inoculums of Phanerochaete chrysosporium in real has improved the content of ADF (2,92%), cellulose (3,59%), and has really decreased the content of NDF (1,85%), hemicellulose (7,48%), and the content of lignin (7,26%).  There was no interaction between the type of straw with the dosage of fungus inoculums of Phanerochaete chrysosporium towards the changes in the content of NDF, ADF, hemicellulose, cellulose, and lignin.  Corn straw has real high content of ADF, cellulose, and really decrease the content of NDF, lignin, and hemicellulose. Based on the effect of fermentation of Phanerochaete chrysosporium fungus, 6% v/w (Pc3) dosage was better as the inoculums of corn straw and sorghum straw, which was able to improve the quality of straw as food so that it has enough nutrition as an alternative food. Abstract

Salah satu alternatif kurangnya pakan ternak pada musim kemarau yang berkepanjangan yaitu dengan cara memanfaatkan daun kayu jawa yang diolah dengan cara ditepungkan. Kayu Jawa (Lannea coramandelica) merupakan tanaman pekarangan yang banyak tersebar di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor kambing lokal betina umur lebih kurang 10 bulan dengan kisaran bobot badan antara 10,80 - 15,89 kg, yang di tempatkan dalam kandang individual yang berlantai kayu sebanyak 12 petak. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji perbandingan dengan Analisis Uji-t. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P1= Pemberian konsentrat tanpa tepung daun kayu jawa; dan P2=Pemberian konsentrat + 0,5% tepung daun kayu jawa. Hasil analisis statistikUji-t menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrat + tepung daun kayu jawa dan pemberian konsentrat tanpa tepung daun kayu jawa memberikan perbedaan yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap komponen karkas (Neck, Shoulder, Ribs, Loin, Leg, Flank, Breats, Shank) kambing lokal.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian di kandang CV. Prima BREED sejak tanggal 23 september 2019 sampai dengan tanggal 2 Desember 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa produksi, status faal, nilai hematologis, bobot karkas dan non karkas kambing Kacang yang mendapat tepung kulit buah naga dan tanpa pemberian tepung kulit buah naga. Kambing Kacang yang digunakan berjumla 11 ekor kambing Kacangbetina. Analisis data Uji-t ulangan tidak sama untuk membandingkan antara dua perlakuan. Analisis Uji-t menunjukkan kambing yang diberi tepung kulit buah naga nyata meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan, efisiensi penggunaan bahan kering dan protein kasar ransum, persentase karkas, jumlah sel darah merah, kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit darah kambing dibanding kambing yang tidak diberi tepung kulit buah naga. Namun, konsumsi bahan kering ransum, konsumsi protein kasar ransum, status faal, jumlah sel darah putih, bobot potong, bobot karkas, bobot komponen karkas, bobot dan persentase non karkas internal, bobot dan persentase non karkas eksternal, serta bobot dan persentase non karkas edible tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang nyata dari kedua perlakuan.

Abstract

Ternak kambing Kacang merupakan jenis ternak ruminansia kecil yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat pedesaan hingga pinggiran perkotaan. Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan, status faali, nilai hematologis dan kimia darah kambing Kacang yang diberikan EM4 dengan kadar yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Maret hingga 26 Mei tahun 2017 dan bertempat di CV. Prima BREED Kota Palu Sulawesi Tenggah.  Kambing Kacang yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 15 ekor berjenis kelamin betina dengan kisaran umur ± 10 bulan dan bobot badan 14,40-26,92 kg. Penelitian dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sebagai kelompok. Sebagai perlakuan yaitu: P1 = Larutan EM4 peternakan 0,0% dari konsentrat; P2 = Larutan EM4 peternakan 0,1% dari konsentrat; P3 = Larutan EM4 peternakan 0,2% dari konsentrat; P4 = Larutan EM4 peternakan 0,3% dari konsentrat; P5 = Larutan EM4 peternakan 0,4% dari konsentrat. Hasil kajian pemanfaatan EM4 dalam konsentrat kambing Kacang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pada pertambahan bobot badan, efisiensi penggunaan ransum, jumlah sel darah merah, kadar hemoglobin, nilai hematokrit, jumlah glukosa darah dan jumlah urea darah kambing Kacang, akan tetapi tingkat konsumsi bahan kering, suhu tubuh, frekuensi respirasi, frekuensi pulsus, dan jumlah sel darah putih kambing tidak menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata.

Abstract

Jagung giling dengan kandungan energi cukup tinggi memiliki potensi dalam memperbaiki pertumbuhan dan faali kambing Kacang, untuk itu dalam meningkatkan pemanfaatan jagung giling sebagai pakan ternak perlu adanya kajian lebih kompleks. Maksud dan tujuan penelitian untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan fisiologis kambing Kacang melalui pemberian pakan jagung giling sebagai sumber energi. Penelitian menggunakan kambing Kacang sebanyak 15 ekor, kandang penelitian berbentuk panggung dan setiap ternak terpisah dalam kandang individu. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok, ternak penelitian di acak menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan dan 5 kelompok ulangan setiap perlakuan. Variabel penelitian yaitu pertumbuhan, status faali, nilai hematologis darah dan kimia darah, data penelitian di analisis sesuai Rancangan Acak Kelompok dan di lanjutkan menggunakan BNJ apabila menunjukkan taraf nyata (<0,05). Hasil penelitian pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi bahan kering, efisiensi penggunaan bahan kering ransum dan kadar glukosa darah lebih tinggi daripada kambing Kacang tanpa pemberian jagung giling.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the farming behavior of the transmigration community towards keeping goats in the highland areas in the Lembantongoa Transmigration area, Palolo District, Sigi Regency in September – November 2023. The research method used is a survey. Data collection techniques, namely field studies or observations through the interview process and filling out questionnaires. The variables observed in this research are economic (X1), social and cultural (X2), environmental (X3), food sources (X4), maintenance systems (Y1), income (Y2) and business development (Y3). The respondents used in this research were all transmigration communities who carried out goat breeding activities in the transmigration area, namely 74 breeders. The data collection technique uses a 1-5 Likert scale, while data analysis is carried out using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the research showed that the highest average indicator scale proportion values were obtained for each latent variable, including: anticipation of plantation risk (X1.1), length of breeding (X2.3), temperature and humidity (X3.4), alternative feed (X4.5), cage cleanliness (Y1.5), farming income (Y2.1) and human resources (Y3.5). The conclusion of the research shows that the community's farming behavior regarding all latent variables has an average scale proportion that is in the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan dan Perikanan Universitas Tadulako dan Lahan Percobaan Program Studi Produksi Ternak dan Program Studi Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako Palu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui biokonversi jerami jagung dengan menggunakan jamur Phanerochaete chrysosporium untuk meningkatkan kualitas gizi jerami jagung terhadap perubahan komponen serat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan adalah dosis inokulum jamur Phanerochaete chrysosporium, masing-masing 0% (Pc0), 2% (Pc1), 4% (Pc2) dan 6% (Pc3). Apabila terdapat perbedaan yang nyata, di lanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan inokulum jamur Phanerochaete chrysosporium secara nyata meningkatkan kandungan ADF, selulosa dan menurunkan kandungan NDF, hemiselulosa, lignin.

Abstract

Seagrass meadows are ecosystems consisting of one or more species of seagrass interacting with biotic and abiotic factors in their environment. Ecologically, seagrass has several important functions in coastal areas, one of which is seagrass as a primary producer in shallow waters which is a food source for several types of organisms. This research aims to find out the types of seagrass plants in the waters of Teluk Buli Village, and find out the pattern of seagrass plant distribution, and find out what environmental factors affect the growth of seagrass plants. This type of research is descriptive explorative, where the data collected includes the types of seagrass plants that have been identified, the pattern of seagrass plant distribution, and environmental factors that affect the distribution pattern of seagrass plants. The method used for data collection is the quadratic method (calculated plot). Analysis of seagrass plant type data using seagrass plant identification manuals, seagrass plant distribution patterns using morista spread index formulas, and environmental factors that affect the pattern of seagrass plant distribution are described and contained in observation tables. The results showed that the type of seagrass plant found in the waters of Teluk Buli Village was a type of Enhalus acoroides. The results of the calculation of the morista spread index showed that the seagrass plant Enhalus acoroides had a clustered distribution pattern with a value of Id 1. The results of measuring the environmental parameters of seagrass plants in the waters of Teluk Buli village, namely pH 5-6.6 categorized as acid, Humidity 20%-50%, and Salinity 28% - 31% Optimum category.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive quantitative study aims to know artificial insemination success rates in population increases cattle district of Kinovaru, Biromaru, dan Marawola, Sigi district of Sulawesi Province the middle. The research has been conducted since Maret- December, 2019. The Variables observed are S/C, CR, and CvR these studies use descriptive and regression analysis at a 95% trust level to identify the relationship between the variable of regression equations. The result showed that the average value of S/C was 1.42, value of C/R was 56.7%, dan CvR was 51%. Regression Analysis showed variable affected in increase the population by Artificial Insemination (IB) is Service per Conception (S/C) dan Conception Rate (CR). And didn’t affect variable towards the increasing population of IB is Calving Rate (CvR), with R Square Value 60%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the physiological response of local goats fed green concentrates in the form of Indigofera zollingeriana, Sesbania grandiflora and Gliricidiasepium. This research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design with the first factor being 3 types of nuts and the second factor being 3 treatment levels (60%, 70% and 80%). The results of the study showed that body weight gain and efficiency of forage use for goats fed Gamal Green Concentrate were significantly lower than Turi and Tarum Green concentrates, however consumption of local dry goat content gave the same results. However, based on statistical tests, goats fed green concentrate had no significant effect on the status of goat physiology. The body temperature of local goats given 80% green concentrate was higher compared to 60% green concentrate and 70% green concentrate. The pulse frequency and respiratory frequency of local goats given 60% green concentrate were higher compared to 70% green concentrate and 80% green concentrate. However, based on statistical tests, goats fed green concentrate had no significant effect on the status of goat physiology.
