Abstract

English speaking ability has become a mandatory skill that must be possessed by academics in Indonesia. Mastery of English orally and in writing is one of the main requirements in continuing education to higher education or in applying for jobs. Pare is a well-known city in Indonesia as a center for learning foreign languages, especially English. Global English is one of the largest course institutions in Pare with the number of students reaching hundreds of students per period. Often there is an unpreparedness on the part of the course institution to anticipate events or even a decrease in the number of students, causing the quality of services they can provide is less than optimal. This study aims to make accurate predictions of the number of students who come to study languages ​​at Global English. With this accurate prediction, Global English can make more thorough preparations. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) or artificial neural network is a computing system in which architecture and computing are inspired by knowledge of nerve cells in the brain. ANN is a model that mimics the workings of biological neural networks. By doing the learning process, the artificial neural network can organize itself to produce a consistent response to a series of inputs. Artificial neural networks are designed and trained to have human-like abilities. One of the advantages of ANN is that it can be used to predict reliably on certain conditions based on available data. Therefore, Predictions in this study will be carried out using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) using the Back Popagation method

Abstract

Rapid development in information technology directly impact on the education system in Indonesia, including on technology and vocational education. Computerized process used at every level of the education system makes information technology as an integral part of the education system in various countries, including Indonesia. SMKN 1 Padang as one of a big educational institutions and vocational technology in the city of Padang. However, the utilization of information technology in SMK 1 Padang is still very minimal. Data management process and learning activities are still carried out manually. With the large number of membership programs and number of students, this wayof process less efficient considering the chance of the possibility of error, either in the form of data inconsistencies as a result of the mistake input process value by teachers as well as the possibility of errors in data processing of other student's academic. Coupled with the length of time required to process the data and the number of resources required. Hence the need for a system that manages all the data management process in SMK 1 Padang. In terms of the development and management of the system, often found difficulty in developing the system further. One effort that can be done is to design and implement a system of academic portal as a means of academic activities management at SMK 1 Padang. Academic Portal was designed and developed based on architecture HMVC using the programming language PHP and MySQL database, with CodeIgniter framework, bootstrap framework, javascript, ajax, HTML5 and CSS3. Implementation of HMVC architecture in academic portal at SMK 1 Padang is one of solution to the problem of data management academic at SMK 1 Padang. The system was designed and developed the portal is expected to support process optimization performance of academic services at SMKN 1 Padang. HMVC architecture implemented in the portal system for further development of the portal system.

Abstract

The management of an organization often has many obstacles such as less optimal management of organizational documents, news portals, financial reports, correspondence documentation, activity documentation or data collection of members of the organization. Therefore, a reliable management system is needed so that management in the organization can be carried out more optimally. Likewise with the management in the Muhammadiyah Branch Executive, Batam Kota District, a reliable system is also needed to support the movement of various activities in the organization. The website-based information system developed is an answer to this problem. This system can be used to manage various activities and monitor their progress as well as make it easier for administrators to collect data on their members. This system can also display various institutional news so that the public is more familiar with the Muhammadiyah Branch Executive of Batam Kota District as a community organization with Islamic nuances that also carries out da'wah activities to spread goodness. So this is an agenda in this community service activity for the development of information systems and assistance in the implementation of the system both for managers and users of the system, as well as as a concrete step for the contribution of Higher Education in empowering the community by applying scientific principles that are useful for the benefit of the community.

Abstract

IEC TC10 is the most widely used Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) measurement dataset nowadays. Many DGA-based studies have been carried out using conventional methods and methods based on Artificial Intelligence Techniques (AITs). DGA is a diagnostic test performed on power transformers to detect and diagnose potential faults. The test involves analyzing the gases that are dissolved in the transformer oil, which can provide important information about the condition of the transformer. DGA is a widely used technique for transformer monitoring and maintenance in the power industry. However, this dataset is not perfect. There are still many problems in this dataset, one of which is the problem of missing value data. This problem will be significant if not appropriately handled. More reliable data from DGA measurement results is an in-dispensable reference in diagnosing faults in power transformers. This study focuses on dealing with the problem of missing value data using the Tertius algorithm, then testing the results using the J48 and Random Forest algorithms. The results obtained are pretty significant. Of the total 56 missing data, 36 could be predicted perfectly. And received the results of measuring accuracy using the J48 method of 62.73% and the Random Forest method of 70.71%. This result shows that the approach we applied is relatively good for handling missing values in IEC TC10 datasets.

Abstract

In the digital era, efficient data management is crucial for companies as Information Technology facilitates staff tasks and operations. However, some companies still face challenges with manual data management, such as time-consuming and paper-based overtime request forms. PT XYZ still uses manual overtime forms and requires a more efficient system. Therefore, a Web-Based Overtime Application was developed using Laravel, PHP, and MySQL to streamline the entry and storage of employee data and overtime hours. The Waterfall method was used in the design process, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, with data collected through interviews and observations. The research results indicate that this application improves company operations by automating the overtime request and approval process, and by facilitating the management and access to overtime data. Based on an average SUS score of 82, user acceptance falls within the "ACCEPTABLE" and "GOOD" categories. This research successfully produced a web-based overtime application at PT XYZ that meets user needs and enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of overtime management.

Abstract

The determination of the composition of personnel in an organization, especially in the activities of the Branch Conference (Musran) of the Muhammadiyah Branch Executive of Belian Village, is still done manually and tends to be subjective. This has the potential to cause inefficiencies and internal conflicts in the decision-making process. This research aims to develop a web-based decision support system (SPK) that can help the management selection process objectively by using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The TOPSIS method was chosen because it is able to provide the best alternative ratings based on its proximity to positive and negative ideal solutions. The five main criteria used in decision-making include: organizational experience, level of education, loyalty to the organization, leadership, and availability of time. The system is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results of the implementation show that the system is able to produce recommendations for a more systematic, transparent, and accountable management structure. With this TOPSIS-based SPK, the deliberation process can run faster and more efficiently without eliminating the principle of democracy in the organization. This research is expected to be an innovative solution in adaptive and sustainable information technology-based organizational governance.

Abstract

It is known that configuring system information and event management (SIEM) infrastructure using conventional virtualization still provides essential functions. However, if a problem occurs such as a configuration error during the staging process or application service failure, the recovery process from the error requires quite a long time. This research aims to explore and analyze the implementation of container technology in the SIEM Infrastructure using the Wazuh platform. The analysis focuses on a Docker-based architecture running Wazuh's core components: the wazuh-indexer, wazuh-manager, and wazuh-dashboard, each in its own container. This approach is evaluated to see how containerization affects SIEM effectiveness and efficiency, particularly in resource utilization and fault recovery. Performance testing carried out on systems using Docker Containers shows lower Memory and CPU usage compared to Conventional Virtualization. The results demonstrate that Docker not only enhances resource efficiency but also improves system resilience, directly impacting SIEM operational functionality.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi saat ini perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi berkembang sangat pesat sebagaimana yang diketahui. Perkembangan tersebut tidak hanya di wilayah perkotaan saja, melainkan sampai menyentuh ke wilayah pedesaan. Begitu juga pada Kelurahan Pulau Buluh, Kecamatan Bulang, Kota Batam, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang dalam rutinitasnya memiliki tugas pokok dan fungsi dalam melaksanakan menjalankan kebijakan pemerintahan, keamanan dan ketertiban dengan berbagai tugas yang diemban seperti pengurusan administrasi yang meliputi surat pernyataan penguasaan tanah, surat keterangan tanah, ahli waris, surat keterangan kematian, surat keterangan kelahiran, keterangan pindah dan pada pelayanan pengaduan dan sebagainya. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan, dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya tersebut, kantor kelurahan pulau buluh belum mempunyai sistem informasi yang dapat menunjang kegiatan pelayanan terhadap masyarakat. karena semua sistem masih dilakukan secara manual dengan berbasis kertas. Maka diperlukan suatu Sistem Informasi Kelurahaan yang dapat digunakan dalam mengelola pengarsipan serta menjaga data-data administrasi kependudukan agar dapat dikelola untuk jangka panjang. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini merupakan suatu langkah dalam upaya membantu pihak pegawai di Kelurahan Pulau Buluh dalam perancangan suatu Sistem Informasi Kelurahan yang diterapkan dalam bentuk website berbasis OpenSID. Adapun luaran hasil akhir dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu terbangunnya suatu aplikasi sistem informasi kelurahan website berbasis OpenSID serta luaran-luaran penting dalam mempublikasikan hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini kepada khalayak umum.

Abstract

Abstract: Project-Based Learning is a type of learning that is quite widely recommended today, especially in vocational type institutions where the learning is effective in the aim of involving students with direct learning content. The process of evaluating project-based learning on project teams in the performance assessment of each team to rank the order of best performance of all teams is still assessed based on subjective assessments. To overcome these problems, in this study the performance measurement of the project-based learning team by applying the VIKOR method and Rank Order Centroid in conducting assessments with test samples, namely in the Introduction to Database course. The test results obtained based on the calculation of VIKOR and Rank Order Centroid, namely PBL-TRPL01 Team 1 as the best alternative by obtaining based on variations of testing the VIKOR index value with values v=0.4, v=0.5, and v=0.6. Thus, it can be seen that the VIKOR and Rank Order Centroid methods can be applied to the calculation process of measuring team performance in project-based learning.            Keywords: decision Support System; project-based learning; rank order centroid; VIKOR Abstrak: Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek merupakan jenis pembelajaran yang cukup banyak direkomendasikan di masa kini khususnya pada institusi berjenis vokasional. Pembelajaran tersebut efektif dalam tujuan melibatkan para peserta didik dengan konten pembelajaran secara langsung. Proses evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada tim proyek dalam penilaian performa dari masing-masing tim untuk memeringkatkan urutan performa terbaik dari seluruh tim masih dinilai berdasarkan penilaian secara subyektif. Untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut, pada penelitian ini pengukuran performa tim project-based learning dengan menerapkan metode VIKOR dan Rank Order Centroid dalam melakukan penilaian dengan sampel pengujian yaitu pada mata kuliah Pengantar Basis Data. Hasil pengujian yang diperoleh berdasarkan perhitungan VIKOR dan Rank Order Centroid yaitu bahwa alternatif PBL-TRPL01 Tim 1 sebagai alternatif terbaik dengan peroleh berdasarkan variasi pengujian nilai indeks VIKOR. Maka dengan demikian, dapat diketahui bahwa metode VIKOR dan Rank Order Centroid dapat diterapkan pada proses perhitungan pengukuran performa tim pada pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis proyek; rank order centroid; sistem pendukung keputusan; VIKOR
