Abstract

The nutritional status and fundamental movement skills are one of things that are quite important for the growth and development of children. The nutritional status of children can affect a person's movement skills and fundamental basic movements can be related to daily activities. This research was conducted to know the relationship between nutritional status and fundamental movements in elementary schools. This type of research is a correlational study with a non-experimental research design. Participants included were grade IV students with an age range of 10-11 years of 100 people. The instruments used were BMI measurements and the TGMD-2 test. Data analysis techniques using formulas in the SPSS with spearman correlation. The results showed that the sig value of BMI and basic movement was 0.799 > 0.05 with a correlation coefficient value of 0.26. From these results, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between nutritional status and fundamental movement skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya komunikasi yang dimiliki oleh guru terhadap pembelajaran siswa tunarungu di SLB kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu teknik random sampling. Instrumen data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dan mengadaptasi dari jurnal terdahulu. Guru yang mengajar di SLB kota Bandung menggunakan teori akomodasi komunikasi, dimana guru dapat memodifikasi atau merancang suatu cara berkomunikasi dengan siswa penyandang disabilitas tunarungu dengan sebaik mungkin dan juga dapat dipahami oleh semua siswanya tersebut dan juga dapat berkomunikasi secara verbal dan nonverbal. Dimana peneliti melakukan penelitian melalui observasi SLB di kota Bandung yang dimana peneliti mengambil 5 SLB dari 10 SLB yang ada di kota Bandung yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi atau data yang di inginkan. Bentuk komunikasi guru berupa komunikasi verbal, komunikasi nonverbal dan Bahasa isyarat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk komunikasi guru terdiri dari dua bentuk cara berkomunikasi yaitu komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah SLB B Negeri Cicendo memiliki fasilitas olahraga yang cukup untuk program olahraga dan kesehatan. Penelitian yang dilakukan pada kesempatan ini, yakni penelitian dengan jenis kualitatif menggunakan metode survei untuk mencari tahu informasi dan populasi penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini, yakni SLB B Negeri Cicendo. Metode untuk melakukan pengumpulan data penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tiga komponen utama, yakni wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian, analisis deskriptif persentase digunakan sebagai metode analisis. Hasil studi di Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Cicendo menunjukkan ketersediaan fasilitas sebesar 60%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keadaan tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa yang bersekolah di sekolah pada waktu PJOK yang berbeda tersebut serta mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan dari ketiga waktu yaitu pagi saja, siang saja dan pergantian pagi-siang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain comparative research (perbandingan). Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IV berjumlah 189. Teknik sampling menggunakan Purposive Random Sampling, dengan instrumen penelitian Tes Kebugaran Siswa Indonesia (TKSI). Uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan shaporo-wilk dan levene test, sedangkan uji hipotesis Kruskall Wallis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan tingkat kebugaran peserta didik yang pembelajaran PJOK pagi dalam kategori sedang, tingkat kebugaran peserta didik yang pembelajaran PJOK siang dalam kategori sedang, tingkat kebugaran jasmani peserta didik yang pembelajaran PJOK pagi-siang (bergantian) dalam kategori baik. Dengan begitu, terdapat perbedaan tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa sekolah dasar berdasarkan waktu pembelajaran PJOK di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of games based on the motion education model on improving gross motor skills of elementary school students. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling involving two groups, namely the control group of 26 students and the experimental group of 29 students. The instrument used was the Basic Movement Ability Test (TGMD) through pretest and posttest. The results of the analysis showed that the average gross motor score of the experimental group increased from 61.93 to 79.41, while the control group only increased from 65.73 to 66.96. The paired samples t-test showed a significant increase in the experimental group, and the independent samples t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000. Thus, games based on the movement education model are proven to be effective in improving gross motor skills and can be an alternative to fun and participatory physical learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of audio-visual media on improving the forward roll floor exercise skills of Phase B deaf students in adaptive physical education. Students with hearing impairments face challenges in receiving verbal instructions, which often hinders their understanding of motor skills, especially in complex movements such as the forward roll. This quasi-experimental research used a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 10 students from a special education school. The intervention was conducted over 12 sessions using instructional videos accompanied by visual cues and progressive movement stages. Data were collected using an observation sheet and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ motor performance after the implementation of audio-visual media. The integration of visual-based instruction helped students to better observe, imitate, and internalize movement techniques. This study confirms that audio-visual media is an effective strategy for supporting the learning needs of students with disabilities, especially those with sensory impairments. Moreover, it contributes to the development of inclusive and adaptive physical education practices by encouraging the use of technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) model through Soccer Like Games on students’ futsal playing skills. The research design used was an experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test model. The subjects were 30 fourth and fifth grade students of the futsal extracurricular at YWKA Elementary School in Bandung City who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) which assesses three aspects of playing skills, namely decision making, skill execution, and support. Data were collected through direct observation during the game and analyzed using SPSS version 21 with the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, and Paired Sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ futsal playing skills after implementing TGFU learning through Soccer Like Games, with the average score increasing from 9.19 (pre-test) to 12.88 (post-test) (p < 0.05). This learning model is effective in improving decision-making skills, skill execution, and support in game situations. These findings recommend the implementation of TGFU as an alternative to physical education learning, especially in game sports.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between sedentary behavior and cognitive function in phase C elementary school students (aged 10–12 years). A quantitative approach with a correlational design was used in 291 students in Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung City. Sedentary behavior was measured using the Adolescent Sedentary Activity Questionnaire (ASAQ), while cognitive function was measured using the Indonesian version of the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Data analysis was performed using Spearman’s rho correlation test. The results showed a significant but weak negative relationship between sedentary behavior and cognitive function (r = –0.121; p = 0.040). This finding indicates that the higher the level of sedentary behavior, the lower the child’s cognitive function score. Theoretically, these results support the view that physical activity plays an important role in maintaining and improving cognitive function, while sedentary behavior can hinder it. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of involving parents, teachers, and schools in reducing the duration of children’s sedentary activities through programs that increase enjoyable physical activity and are integrated with learning activities. This study contributes to local literature regarding the impact of sedentary behavior on the cognitive development of elementary school-aged children.
