Abstract

This study aims to evaluate quality-based packaging development strategies for fish products in Tlesah Village, Tlanakan Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency. The applied packaging uses vacuum heating and thermal coating technology to improve the freshness and shelf life of fish products. The research methodology included a qualitative design with a comprehensive assessment of the existing packaging conditions, application of the new technology, and evaluation of the results through laboratory tests and market surveys. The results showed that the new packaging increased the shelf life of fish products by 30%, with a 40% reduction in trimethylamine (TMA) levels compared to the old packaging. Consumer surveys revealed a 90% increase in satisfaction, and sales data showed a 25% increase in product sales with the new packaging. Challenges included initial costs for packaging materials and technology, and the need for external support. The research suggests continuous improvements in packaging techniques and materials and provides practical recommendations for processor groups and stakeholders. Implications for future research include exploring factors of packaging adoption in different contexts and developing innovations in environmentally friendly packaging materials.

Abstract

Character education has become an increasingly relevant and important issue in the 21st century. Social change, technology, and globalization have affected social values and fabrics, underscoring the urgency of character education to address increasingly complex challenges. This article outlines the complexity and importance of character education development in the context of current educational curricula. This article aims to analyze the role and importance of character education in facing the challenges of the 21st century. We discuss the social and technological changes affecting character education and explore the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating character education into the educational curriculum. This research uses in-depth literature review methods and analyses of the relevant scientific literature. We searched and analyzed a variety of studies related to character education, social change, technology, and globalization. Data and findings from these sources were used to support the arguments and analyses of this study. The results of this study reveal key findings that provide important insights into character education in the 21st century. First, character education plays an increasingly important role in shaping the quality of individuals in the 21st century. Character education not only improves moral values, but also shapes an individual's ability to think critically, make wise decisions, and contribute positively to an increasingly complex society. Furthermore, social, technological, and globalization changes have affected the order of individual values, posing challenges in integrating character education that reflects universal and local values. The main challenge in developing character education is to integrate the existing educational curriculum. This requires the development of new learning methods and adjustments to existing curriculum structures. In addition, the roles of teachers and educators in this process are very important, requiring adequate training and support.

Abstract

The "Marketing Innovation in Encouraging Micro Business Growth in Sentol Pamekasan Village" Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase the competitiveness and economic well-being of microbusinesses in rural Indonesia. Microenterprises hold significant value in both local and national economies. In an era of dynamic economic expansion and continuous social transformation, the growth and progress of microenterprises are of the utmost importance. The potential for micro businesses in Desa Sentol, Pamekasan, is substantial; nonetheless, proprietors of such enterprises encounter several obstacles, such as restricted market entry, intensifying competition, and a dearth of comprehension about efficacious marketing tactics. PKM places emphasis on marketing innovation as a potential resolution to this issue. The outcomes of this PKM initiative demonstrate a substantial positive influence. A 20 to 30 percent increase in the income and profitability of microenterprises contributes to enhanced economic well-being for microbusiness proprietors and the Desa Sentol community at large. Moreover, new marketing methods expand market penetration, hence generating more prospects for business expansion. Additionally, the results indicate that proprietors of microbusinesses in Desa Sentol have assimilated sustainable practices and a commitment to innovative marketing strategies. The significance of strengthening collaboration between microbusiness proprietors, local governments, and other pertinent stakeholders, as well as continuing to utilize marketing innovations, is illuminated by these findings. Ongoing support is provided through advanced training and technical mentoring. Future recommendations encompass the implementation of advanced training initiatives, continuous mentorship programs, enhanced cooperation channels, and the expansion of the range of products and services offered. By fostering ongoing assistance and expanding inventive capacity, Desa Sentol possesses substantial potential to emerge as a paradigm of achievement in the rural micro-enterprise sector of Indonesia. Additionally, this PKM program may serve as a model for other places confronting comparable obstacles.

Abstract

This community development programme (PKM) aims to improve the economic welfare of the community through participatory and empowerment approaches. Bugih Village, located in Pamekasan Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency, has the potential of natural resources that have not been optimally utilised and faces economic problems such as unemployment and low income. The programme began with the identification of local problems and potential, followed by activity planning and targeting of participants. The methods used include training in entrepreneurial skills, mentoring micro-enterprises, and providing access to capital, with active involvement of the community in each stage. The results of the programme show a significant impact on the community's economy, including an increase in income and a decrease in the unemployment rate. Residents who previously relied on informal employment are now able to run more productive micro-enterprises. The training and mentoring provided improved the technical skills and business knowledge of the community, enabling them to manage their businesses more effectively and compete in the market. The assisted micro-enterprises experienced increased production and sales, and gained better access to capital and technology. Analyses show the effectiveness of the participatory approach and empowerment strategies, despite barriers such as limited access to capital and resistance to change from some communities. Enabling factors for success include local government support and active participation of residents. The implications of the programme include strengthened social solidarity and improved local economic capacity, with the expectation that continued support from various parties will ensure the sustainability of the programme and a positive long-term impact on the well-being and economic independence of the community in Kelurahan Bugih.

Abstract

Karakter dan akhlak mahasiswa harus dikembangkan secara maksimal agar tidak hanya unggul di bidang akademik, tetapi juga berkembang di bidang non-akademik untuk mempertahankan rasa identitas diri mereka dalam menghadapi globalisasi. Oleh karena itu, penanaman budi pekerti luhur pada mahasiswa Indonesia merupakan hal yang paling mendesak yang perlu segera mendapat perhatian. Melalui investigasi ini, diyakini akan ditemukan taktik atau konsep untuk meningkatkan akhlak mulia di kalangan pelajar Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tinjauan literatur, yang memerlukan pengumpulan dan penilaian sumber dan fakta dari karya-karya yang diterbitkan seperti buku, jurnal, makalah, dan tesis. Teknik membaca semantik dan simbolik digunakan untuk memperoleh data. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, pendidikan karakter harus terus dilaksanakan di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi guna meningkatkan dan menanamkan akhlak mulia pada mahasiswa. Guru besar bertanggung jawab untuk membina moralitas dan karakter mahasiswa. Melalui keteladanan yang diberikan oleh dosen dalam lingkungan akademik, mahasiswa akan melakukan peniruan dan cenderung memandang akademisi sebagai role model.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a significant public health issue in Indonesia, especially in rural areas such as Mandangin Island Village, Sampang Regency. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of a legal education program as a preventive measure for drug abuse at MI Miftahul Ulum. The six-month program involved lectures, interactive discussions, and legal case simulations. The research methodology included data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and observations to assess improvements in students' knowledge and attitudes towards drugs. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' knowledge regarding the legal aspects of drug abuse, with the average score increasing by 30% after attending the program. Participant responses showed high enthusiasm and a better understanding of the legal consequences. However, challenges such as limited time and resources need to be addressed to improve the effectiveness of the program. Recommendations for improvement include expanding time and resource allocation and integrating the program with other prevention efforts. The program is expected to serve as a model for the implementation of legal education in other educational settings to increase drug awareness and prevention more broadly.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation and results of leadership and management training for the officials of a Santri organization in Ponpes Al-Amien Bugih Pamekasan, Indonesia. The program was conducted to improve the leadership and management skills of Santri organization officials in order to enhance their organizational performance and prepare them for future careers. The training method used in this program was a combination of lectures, discussions, case studies, and simulations, with the aim of providing participants with practical knowledge and skills.The results of the program showed significant improvements in the leadership and management skills of Santri organization officials, including their ability to communicate effectively, manage resources efficiently, and make strategic decisions. Moreover, the program also had a positive impact on the organization's performance, such as increasing the number of members, improving the quality of organizational activities, and enhancing the organization's reputation in the community.The success of the program can be used as an example for other educational institutions to adopt similar programs to enhance the leadership and management skills of their students or santri. However, there are also challenges that need to be addressed, such as limited resources and lack of support from authorities. Collaborative efforts and continuous innovation are needed to overcome these challenges and improve the quality of the training program. In conclusion, the leadership and management training for Santri organization officials in Ponpes Al-Amien Bugih Pamekasan provides significant benefits for participants, organizations, the workforce, and the community as a whole. The program's success and continued improvement can contribute to the advancement of education and leadership and management skills in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the integration of character and multicultural education in higher education, focusing on the development of tolerance and ethical attitudes among students. In the midst of cultural diversity in Indonesia, it is important for universities to implement education that not only pays attention to academic aspects, but also shapes the character of students to become ethical individuals who are able to coexist in a plural society. Through a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at Madura University, this research explores various programmes, policies, and courses that combine the two concepts. The research findings show that the integration of character and multicultural education on campus can strengthen students' understanding of cultural diversity, as well as shape attitudes of tolerance, empathy and openness. However, the implementation of this integration faces challenges, such as resistance from some lecturers and students and limited resources. This study recommends the development of a more inclusive curriculum and policies that support the synergy between character and multicultural education. Further research is needed to evaluate the long-term impact of this integration on character building and students' readiness for the world of work.

Abstract

This article analyses the reconstruction of Jalaluddin Rumi's thought in the context of globalisation to understand how his teachings adapt to contemporary dynamics. Rumi, as an important figure in the Sufi tradition, offers concepts such as universal love, existential unity, and mystical experience that have been translated and presented in various formats for a global audience. This research shows that globalisation has enabled the wide dissemination of Rumi's teachings through digital media and integration with modern spiritual practices, but also poses challenges regarding the preservation of the authenticity of the teachings. The findings show that despite the risk of distortion, Rumi's teachings remain relevant and influential in an increasingly connected world. This article recommends further research into how Sufi thought is adapted and sustained in various cultural contexts, as well as the impact of globalisation on the integrity of the teachings.
