Abstract

This research aims to describe scout extracurricular activities at SD N Ngaliyan 01, as well as activities aimed at developing disciplinary character at the school. This research uses a qualitative approach. In this method, the researcher acts as the main instrument, and data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained is generally qualitative in nature, with the data analysis carried out being inductive/qualitative. The focus of this research is the analysis of the implementation of scouting activities in the formation of disciplinary character at SDN Ngaliyan 01. The subjects of this research are Siaga scout students at SDN Ngaliyan 01. Data was collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. This research details scouting education as a means to improve the disciplinary character of students at SDN Ngaliyan 01. The research results show that (1) the formation of students' disciplinary character can be formed through scouting activities such as completing scouting attributes, (2) ceremonies, establishing rules or regulations , and through activities such as games which can help in the process of forming a disciplined character in students.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of bilingual learning (Indonesian-English) using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the ABCya digital platform in teaching 3D geometry to elementary students. Through qualitative library research, five key studies (2020-2024) were analyzed, focusing on how this integrated approach affects conceptual understanding, language acquisition, and learning motivation. Findings reveal that: (1) PBL’s problem-solving framework enhances spatial reasoning while naturally embedding bilingual terminology; (2) ABCya’s gamified interface significantly increases engagement through interactive 3D shape visualization; and (3) the bilingual approach strengthens both mathematical and linguistic competencies when balanced appropriately. The study highlights the importance of teacher competency in bilingual pedagogy and the need for supportive learning environments. These results align with constructivist principles and multimedia learning theory, demonstrating how technology-enhanced PBL can transform abstract geometric concepts into tangible bilingual learning experiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran muatan lokal dalam mengembangkan karakter toleransi peserta didik kelas VI di SD Negeri Pesantren, Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru, siswa, serta pihak sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai muatan lokal seperti tradisi Nyadran, Sedekah Bumi, Eblek, ekstrakurikuler tari, dan pembiasaan memakai pakaian adat memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi, kebersamaan, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman. Tradisi-tradisi tersebut, meskipun sebagian besar tidak terintegrasi dalam kurikulum formal, tetap menjadi media efektif dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Namun, implementasi pembelajaran muatan lokal dalam kelas, terutama dalam pelajaran Bahasa Jawa, masih kurang menarik minat siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan partisipatif agar nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung dalam muatan lokal dapat terinternalisasi secara optimal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan peran guru dan sekolah dalam mengemas pembelajaran muatan lokal secara lebih inovatif untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter, khususnya toleransi, sejak dini.
