Abstract

Football encompasses a range of fundamental strategies that hold significance in the game, such as passing, controlling, shooting, and dribbling. Dribbling is a technique that emphasises the cultivation of fluid and effective ball movement throughout a game, employing agility and speed to adeptly manoeuvre through changes in direction. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of ball-feeling training and ladder drill training on agility abilities in ball dribbling based on the provided background information. The literature review was conducted by searching for published journals using specific keywords relevant to the central study topic. Most literature studies indicate that practicing ball feeling and drill ladder training have a significant effect on agility, leading to an enhancement in an individual's ball dribbling skills. This to a comprehensive analysis of relevant literature, this research demonstrates the significant influence of ball-feeling training and ladder training on players' agility and dribbling ability.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of goal-setting game training and how effective it is in improving the shooting accuracy of extracurricular students at UPRI Sports Coaching Education. This study is an experimental design, involving two training groups throughout 16 meetings, one serving as a pretest and another as a posttest. We conducted this study for approximately one month to investigate the impact of goal-game training on the shooting accuracy of UPRI Sports Coaching Education students participating in extracurricular activities. The results demonstrated a significant impact of goal-setting game training on shooting accuracy, as evidenced by a statistical increase in the average pretest shooting accuracy from 25.80 points to 42.30 points for the treatment group and from 26.50 points to 33.20 points for the control group. The hypothesis test's significance value is less than 0.05. The conclusion is that goal-game training affects the shooting accuracy of extracurricular UPRI Sports Coaching Education students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the validity and reliability of an observation instrument for spin serve techniques in tennis. We designed this instrument to measure seven main aspects of the spin serve movement: coiling, toss, backswing, uncoiling, strike zone, follow-through, and fall-in. Using a quantitative approach and descriptive correlational design, this study involved 30 students who had taken advanced tennis lessons. The validity of the instrument was tested using the Pearson product-moment correlation, while the reliability was tested using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The results indicated that all aspects had correlation values above 0.3, and the reliability of the instrument was in the moderate category (α = 0.552). These findings indicate that the developed observation instrument is feasible to use in the context of spin serve tennis. We can conclude that novice athletes can effectively evaluate their performance using the observation instrument for spin serve techniques in tennis. All aspects have adequate validity, and the instrument as a whole shows moderate reliability. This instrument can be an initial reference in the process of training more objective and systematic spin-speak techniques, although it still needs improvement to increase reliability.

Abstract

This study intends to improve student learning outcomes in dribbling skills in soccer games through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model. This study used a classroom action research method with 24 fifth-grade students of Elim Christian Elementary School Makassar as research subjects. Data were collected through learning outcomes tests covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The research instruments were observation sheets, skills tests, and assessment rubrics. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively by comparing learning outcomes in pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II conditions. The findings of the study are that all learning areas improved significantly. In pre-cycle conditions, the cognitive aspect averaged 58.75, the affective 62.08, and the psychomotor 55.42, with a 16.70% completion rate (4 out of 24 students). The average score increased to 72.92 for cognitive, 75.83 for affective, and 71.25 for psychomotor after STAD was implemented in cycle I, and the completion rate increased to 54.20%–62.50% (13–15 students). In cycle II, learning outcomes were ideal, with an average score of 84.58 for cognitive, 86.25 for emotional, and 83.75 for psychomotor, and a 100% completion rate (24 students). The average score increased 44.55% from pre-cycle to cycle II (58.75 to 84.86). Elim Makassar Christian Elementary School grade V pupils' dribbling skills have improved greatly with STAD cooperative learning. Students' conceptual knowledge, learning attitudes and motivation, and motor skills improved dramatically using this strategy. This study suggests using the STAD model to improve primary school physical education dribbling skills.
