Abstract

Mass media has an important role in influencing people's opinions and behavior. People who are accustomed to using mass media can use this platform as a means to fight for gender equality. Gender is a social concept that includes the norms and valuesattached to a person's gender. The aim of this research is to determine the role of social media in promoting gender equality issues. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. A descriptive approach is used to explain the results of the development and concept of social media on gender inequality. The results of this research show that this research shows that social media has the potential to play a role in mobilizing and expanding the gender equality movement in Indonesia, enabling youth, advocacy groups, and other individuals to voice gender issues, mobilize support, and spread the movement's messages. Keywords: Roles, Social Media, Gender Equality

Abstract

Nowadays we have found lots of variations or various kinds of community innovations related to the needs of the community itself, so that the community is trying to make it easier so that their needs are met, especially in the current economic situation, the community which has just experienced economic improvements after the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this service is to increase public knowledge and understanding of the benefits of coconut shell waste as a mixture for making paving blocks. Currently, as the population increases, physical development is increasing, and the need for building materials is also increasing. For example Paving blocks are usually used for coating soil, such as vehicle parking lots, yards, alleyways, etc. Basically, paving blocks are only designed to withstand compressive strength. However, it cannot be denied that paving blocks will also receive tensile forces as a result of unstable soil conditions or imperfect installation. Most of the damage that occurred in the field was broken in the middle, not destroyed. The large amount of coconut shell waste that should be used as a basic ingredient for making paving block mixes. With the use of coconut shell waste as a mixture of materials, it is hoped that it can help the community as a building material so that it makes it easier and costs less.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve young people's understanding of constitutional law as a preventive measure against socio-political conflicts in the region. Low legal literacy and rampant political disinformation necessitate practical and participatory legal education. The activity was carried out in Korpri Jaya Village, Bandar Lampung City, involving 40 participants from among young people, youth organizations, and community leaders through workshops, focus group discussions, role-playing simulations, and the creation of educational digital media. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of constitutional law principles and the formation of rational attitudes and respect for legal mechanisms. This activity also gave birth to the Korpri Jaya Law- Conscious Youth Forum as a platform for continuing legal literacy. Overall, this program emphasizes the importance of legal literacy as the foundation of local social and political resilience and a means of shaping a young generation with integrity, national insight, and a commitment to social peace.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang melibatkan universitas swasta serta mengkaji penguatan kapasitas lulusan perguruan tinggi dalam mendukung pembangunan inklusif di Provinsi Lampung. Pemberdayaan masyarakat menjadi salah satu strategi pembangunan yang menekankan peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses pembangunan sosial. Perguruan tinggi memiliki posisi strategis dalam mendukung kebijakan tersebut melalui pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat di tingkat lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang berfokus pada universitas swasta di Provinsi Lampung serta masyarakat sekitar kampus yang menjadi objek kegiatan pemberdayaan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi yang berkaitan dengan berbagai program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh perguruan tinggi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model analisis kualitatif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis, sementara keabsahan data diuji melalui teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa universitas swasta memiliki kontribusi penting dalam pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan pelatihan, pengembangan kewirausahaan, serta pendampingan sosial yang melibatkan lulusan perguruan tinggi sebagai agen perubahan sosial. Program pemberdayaan tersebut memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan aktivitas ekonomi masyarakat, penguatan literasi sosial, serta meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam berbagai kegiatan pembangunan lokal. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan rekonstruksi kebijakan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang mengintegrasikan peran pemerintah, perguruan tinggi, dan masyarakat dalam kerangka pembangunan yang lebih kolaboratif dan berkelanjutanainable development framework.
