Abstract

ABSTRACT This article examines an Arabic manuscript, al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah, authored by an esteemed Egyptian scholar, Sheikh Zakariyy? al-An??r?. This text encapsulates a summary (mukhta?ar) of Sufi knowledge. The primary aim of this research is to overview of the content of al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah and dissect the teachings of Sufism embedded within the text. The research utilizes philology and Sufism theories. Philology aids in the accurate translation of the text, preserving the integrity of the original content while making it accessible to the intended audience. On the other hand, Sufism theories provide a framework to unearth the profound meanings and teachings that the text holds within its narrative. The findings from this analysis reveal that Sheikh Zakariyy? al-An??r?'s work, al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah, is characterized by its emphasis on practical or ethical Sufism. The pivotal concept highlighted throughout the text is the “path to Allah” or Maq?m?t. This includes a spectrum of concepts such as Taubat (Repentance), Zuhud (Asceticism), Tawakkal (Reliance on God), 'Uzlah (Seclusion), Zikr (Habitual Remembrance), Tawajjuh il? All?h bi al-Kulliyyah (Total Focus on Allah), ?abr (Patience), Mur?qabah (Spiritual Supervision), and Ri?? (Contentment). Overall, this research underscores the depth and richness of Sufi teachings within al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah, and the significant role of such texts in preserving and disseminating these teachings. Keywords: al-Fut???t, al-Il?hiyyah, Maq?m?t, Zakariyy? al-An??r?   ABSTRAK Artikel ini mengkaji teks al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah (FI) karya seorang ulama Mesir bernama Syaikh Zakariyy? al-An??r? yang berisi ringkasan (mukhtasar) ilmu tasawuf. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyajikan tinjauan isi teks al-Fut???t al-Il?hiyyah dan analisis ajaran tasawuf pada teks. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, digunakan teori filologi dan tasawuf. Hasil penelitian ini adalah teks FI karangan Zakariyy? al-An??r? ini mempuyai corak tasawuf amali atau akhlaki, dengan konsep “jalan menuju Allah” nya atau dikenal dengan Maq?m?t, yang meliputi Taubat, Zuhud, Tawakkal, ‘Uzlah (mengasingkan diri), Membiasakan Zikir, Tawajjuh il? All?h bi al-Kulliyyah (totalitas menghadap Allah), Sabar, Mur?qabah (pengawasan Allah), dan Ri??. Kata kunci: al-Fut???t, al-Il?hiyyah, Maq?m?t, Zakariyy? al-An??r?

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the pattern of hadith reception in the da’wah practices within the Muslim community of Lilinta, Raja Ampat. In particular, it aims to explore how the hadith text, articulated in Arabic, continues to influence local behaviors, beliefs and customs, despite the community’s lack of cognitive understanding of the language. Employing the living hadith approach and adopting Stuart Hall’s reception theory, this study reveals that Lilinta community demonstrates a habitus pattern of ‘negotiation’ in hadith reception. This study found that while on the one hand the redaction of the hadith was not literally understood by the local Muslims, but the essence of hadith was practiced as cultural doctrines. The pattern of hadith transformation suggests that the hadith and its practices co-exist on divergent paths. Practice transpires through doctrinal channels, while the narrative remains misunderstood. This communal-practical living hadith, grounded in habitus rather than cognition, culmi­nates in robust, albeit static traditions. This study concludes that hadith effectively molds the behavior and beliefs of the Lilinta community when viewed from the practiced behaviors over cognitive understanding.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas kontribusi pelestarian warisan budaya dan konservasi lingkungan bagi pemajuan kebudayaan dan penguatan karakter masyarakat. Dalam hal kebijakan agama, tulisan ini mengangkat tentang kesalihan sosial dalam memakmurkan bumi, yaitu pemanfaatannya, penjagaannya, dan pelestariannya untuk generasi yang akan datang. Keselarasan agama dan budaya dalam konteks pelestarian lingkungan juga termasuk bahasan dalam artikel ini. Objek kajiannya adalah Situs Taman Purbakala Cipari, Cigugur, Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Fokus kajian meliputi nilai-nilai budaya, praktik tradisional, dan upaya konservasi lingkungan yang melibatkan masyarakat lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulan melalui studi pustaka dan observasi. Dalam analisis digunakan teori ekologi budaya dan konstruksi sosial. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di sekitar Situs Taman Purbakala Cipari memiliki kearifan lokal dalam pelestarian lingkungan, seperti praktik pertanian ramah lingkungan (PRL) dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara berkelanjutan. Nilai-nilai ini tercermin pada pembagian hutan, aturan adat pengelolaan hutan, pengelolaan air dan sampah dengan konsep reuse, reduce, dan recycle (3R). Hubungan antara pelestarian warisan budaya dan konservasi lingkungan sangat signifikan dalam menjaga keberlanjutan dan identitas masyarakat, juga berkontribusi pada pemajuan kebudayaan. Pengetahuan lokal, praktik tradisional, dan nilai-nilai budaya merupakan dasar yang kuat bagi pelestarian lingkungan yang berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan. Interaksi yang harmonis antara budaya dan lingkungan memberikan peluang untuk pengembangan ekowisata berkelanjutan, pendidikan budaya, dan penyadaran sejarah. Dalam konteks global, integrasi pelestarian warisan budaya dan konservasi lingkungan dapat menjadi model yang relevan untuk pemajuan kebudayaan; yang berkontribusi pada penguatan karakter, identitas budaya, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan.

Abstract

This research focuses on the sharia economic practices during the Cirebon and Mataram Sultanates. This research uses the historical method, with four steps. These are heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography.Data comes from historical artifacts, archives and manuscripts. Data was collected through library research, field observations, and FGD (FocusedGroup Discussion). The results showed that some aspects of economic practicesduring the Cirebon and Mataram sultanates in the 15 th to 17 th centuries AD were based on Islamic economic principles or sharia economics. Cirebon and Mataram’s economic policies referred to the principle of benefit, independentmanagement of land and state wealth; no foreign interference; fair land distribution to the people; just tax levies depending on people’s welfare; state revenues-based production; agriculture and plantations; as well as customsduties on goods and services. These are actually the sharia economics practices. Sharia-based economic practices are essentially forms of religious moderation practice in line with the principles of justice and equality.  Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas praktik ekonomi syariah pada masa Kesultanan Cirebon dan Mataram melalui kajian sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan motode sejarah. Ada empat langkah dalam penelitian sejarah, yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber data berupa benda-benda peninggalan sejarah, arsip dan manuskrip. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara kajian pustaka (library research), observasi lapangan,wawancara, dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik ekonomi pada masa Kesultanan Cirebon dan Mataram, khususnya abad ke-15-17 M berdasarkan pada ajaran Islam, yakni ekonomi syariah. Kebijakan Cirebon dan Mataram dalam ekonomi menganut asas kemaslahatan: pengelolaan tanah dan kekayaan negara secara mandiri, tidak ada campur tangan asing; tanah didistribusikan kepada rakyat secara adil; pungutanpajak disesuaikan dengan tingkat kesejahteraan rakyat; pendapatan negara diutamakan dari hasil bumi, pertanian dan perkebunan. Praktik ekonomi syariah hakikatnya adalah praktik moderasi beragama dalam ekonomi, denganprinsip keadilan dan kesetaraan.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of Indonesia’s halal industry requires alignment between economic growth and the principles of religious moderation, including wasaṭiyyah (balance) and maṣlaḥah (public welfare). This study analyzes how these principles are integrated into halal governance, certification, and policy frameworks while identifying structural and socio-cultural barriers that hinder their implementation. Employing a descriptive qualitative design grounded in interpretivism, the research uses document and content analysis of legal instruments (Law No. 33/2014 on Halal Product Assurance), institutional reports (BPJPH and KNEKS), and peer-reviewed literature. Triangulation was applied through cross-validation of academic, governmental, and media sources. The findings reveal that religious moderation is conceptually acknowledged yet structurally fragmented due to bureaucratic inefficiencies, inconsistent policy coordination, and limited accessibility for micro and small enterprises (MSMEs). Cultural resistance and theological diversity further constrain its application. The study contributes to the interdisciplinary discourse on Islamic governance and ethical regulation by operationalizing wasaṭiyyah and maṣlaḥah as analytical tools for inclusive halal policymaking. It recommends strengthening regulatory coordination, digitizing halal certification, and embedding moderation training within institutional programs to enhance transparency and inclusivity. Religious moderation thus emerges not merely as a moral principle but as a structural framework for sustainable halal industry development and global competitiveness
